Libra Sonatine - 1.mov India - Roland Dyens

Roland Dyens (1955 - 2016) wrote his Libra sonatina under the impression of his first heart attack. He told me about all of this in the course of a wonderful conversation that we had in 2016 on the margins of the International Guitar Symposium in Iserlohn. The opening movement of his “free sonatina” is headed “India”, because it all started while he was in India. He had health problems there that he was unable to explain at the time. We can hear this in his music, which remains indecisive, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet and lacking a regular pulse. It was at the Villa Villigst in Schwerte, where the guitar symposium’s masterclasses were held and I recorded the present CD, that I saw Roland Dyens for the final time.

Hermosa interpretación y ejecución, sentí como si no conociese la obra o mejor dicho como si no la hubiera estado escuchando correctamente hasta ahora. Sé que cada quien tiene su interpretación pero esta sin duda es mi favorita.
