Till you pull 60 packs and get only 1-2 diamond cards in ALL the packs… I’ll never trust a 10 pull again. Solo pulls got me 4 immersive, a god pack and tons of other rares.
@@bryanlee6065 this idea is every time you go to open, it generates 15 packs and some are good. When you solo, you pick 1 of 15 and try to get lucky. When you do 10 it’s still doing 10-15, but you odds are better to find those rare. So ether my luck is just THAT bad that I got all 10-15 that were trash, or the game just does 10 solo auto picks for me and that were all trash. I still think if you do a 10 pull you should be guaranteed something rare, literally every other Gacha game has that.
I'm still missing a zapdos ex for my Pika deck. I'll probably just craft the 2nd Gardevior for the mewtwo deck. And I still need a Ligligant and an ivysaur for mu veno ex deck. So ill craft that too.
Still missing one Moltress ex and one Gardevoir for my Charizard and Mewtwo decks, but I'm definitely gonna build a Pikachu deck and after that a Misty deck if I ever get to that point. Only after having those would I consider saving (Dragonite decks are cool too 😂)
Well from what I have experienced is that once you are around lvl 14 or 15 right now you should have at least 1st time cleared all the solo battles and gotten the rewards, now the only way you can hourglasses now is from doing your daily missions and leveling up, which because the game has just launched, there is no ranked match's, no hourglass rewards for battling, there really isn't an efficient way to get more then 3 or 4 hourglass per day. So in reality your only opening cards on a timer or when you get hourglass from your daily or shop. In my opinion they need to fix this asap as there really isn't anything to do besides opening 2 packs a day as a f2p. Rn there isn't anything to provide you more packs besides shipping, tell if I'm wrong 😢

Before we get a new mini or full set, I think we need a ranked mode that gives us at least 6 hourglasses a match (especially if they want to release a lot of new sets) and more events that reward us a lot of hourglases or certain new exs, and maybe even a monthly login where it alternates between hourglasses and wonderpicking and at the end of the month maybe an alternate art ex card. As a f2p player at lvl 14 myself it just feels like we need more to do you know, cause we all really want to keep playing!

I’ve been saving up to 240 now scared to do 10 pulls now. Did some tests on reroll accounts and singles were just so much better every time. Settled on a reroll account with crown mewtwo, 2 star char and moltres ex, and bunch of other 1 star alt arts.

I worry about Wonder Hourglasses more to be honest lol, it's the one I hoard because if I REALLY need it, I can't have it in any other way. While Pack Hourglasses can be instead replaced with PokeGold.
If you are talking about the concept of “saving hour glasses” then you are likely free to play or premium pass spender at most. If that’s the case, then at the end of the day, doing what is fun is key since you can’t buy your way there. If you want to open right away, just do it!
I'm only using my pack hourglasses to reset my timers so I can still open two packs a day (one in the morning, one in the evening) because when I first started, my two packs would refresh around 11:00 and 23:00. Now they refresh when I wake up and when I get off work.
@@JD-cg8it automatically You get a pack every 12 hours. If you dont open immediately the timer continues for the second pack. You only waste your time if you dont open a pack for longer than 24 hours.
One thing to keep in mind is that new pack sets may boost cards from older sets which were not part of the meta at the time. This may force players to delve back into old packs.
I'm saving them because they might introduce limited packs. Even Master Duel has time-limited packs (packs available for a limited time). It's a norm in gacha and this is effectively a gacha game. I've also seen how beautiful the new Pokémon cards in the original TCG are. They're bound to be added to TCG Pocket eventually. I'd rather wait until there are packs I really want or until a limited pack inevitably shows up one day. I'll be prepared.
FTP level 15 here, started Friday and literally already have 93/93 in solo battles. The only thing for me to do now is to log in a daily in hopes of getting the pokemon I've not yet pulled (really hunting those Moltress EX's). Which sucks. A couple days of grinding and now there's nothing left to do. Genshin Impact had the same problem on launch where we got 100% completion in the initial area in the first few weeks then had to wait for an update only to complete it in a few days. Nowadays, however, people complain that it's not new player friendly as there's just so much damn content (minimum 225 hours but more accurately 600+). If you've enjoyed the launch, give Pokemon TCG Pocket 6-12 months then pop back. There'll be enough content to keep you busy for a few days or a couple weeks, and it'll scratch that itch. Otherwise, just get used to logging on daily for a few minutes at a time. Ultimately, it all depends what you want from your gaming experience. *** As for what to do with hourglasses: I've opened 67 packs in the last few days as a FTP having completing all the available content. With login rewards and 12 hour resets, I'll get another 70 pulls in the next 30 days guaranteed, doubling the amount I've already pulled (and that's not mentioning the hourglasses I get every time I level). It therefore makes sense to save hourglasses then, right? It's more pragmatic and long-term beneficial to my account as I'm most likely going to get decent pulls in the next 30 days to fill out my pokedex. My advice: If you love pulling so much that you simply can't wait, just keep creating new accounts. You'll need extra devices, sure, but you'll tire yourself out eventually and it won't hurt so much to wait.
I just spend them all until I have the cards that I want to finish my different decks that I really want. After that I don’t chase rare cards using hourglasses. I will start saving them probably in a few days from now
i think once new solo missions start coming out it'll slowly giving f2p players a chance during online battles because 90% of online battles you'll be going against someone thats spent 100+ $ into the game already to pull all the meta cards
I got completed mewtwo, cheese articuno and viable charizard and venusaur decks. I guess gonna start saving and use daily pack and wonder picks to get missing ex and support cards
Saving for 10 definitely gets you better results there’s no question the more you open at one time the better results I re-rolled 3x and experimented with opening packs one at a time vs 10 at a time. Opening one at a time yielded no top tier EX cards then I re-rolled and opened them up 10 at a time and definitely saw more key cards then I re-rolled once more and I’m satisfied with the account I re-rolled as i finally pulled 2 MewTwo immersive and a Pikachu Ex and a Zapdos EX and this was within my first 3 10 pack openings. I’m one that doesn’t really care about the rarity of the cards, if I get them then it happens. I just really want the card x2 so I can play decks. I would’ve been satisfied with just getting the MewTwo EX base. As long as I can play the game and complete my decks I’m completely satisfied
I have my Mewtwo deck built and am saving strong for whenever Victini comes to the game! (I feel that I'm the only one whose favorite Pokemon is Victini lol)
I think its all about what make u fun, if u get fun openning just open. Personally im full f2p and i rerolled till have a pretty good account with a lot of decks option to play, now that i have a lot of decks i start save till next big set and maybe i will spend some in the mass outbreak day.
if you have a tier 1 deck (mewtwo, pikachu or articuno ex) then you should save. even if they add ranked before the next set, one meta deck will be enough. going into set 2 without saved hourglasses will be foolish because set 2 will have staple trainer/supporter cards that go into every single deck.
Still trying to get into game. going second very high percent to win unless you got misty and power up a Pokémon that can one shot can make you win one turn if they didn't pull basic pokes. Also learned that so far the bent cards do nothing and you can just hit skip as cards have already been selected. Like the game some and hope events get better and they stop nerfing rewards from card packs giving less points and events costing more to do like the wonder picks used to be one for the 2 energy pick and image shown 1 energy and they didn't change it.
I'm a gacha veteran when I started I was using up my hourglasses but after a point I started saving them for future sets, I don't have a Charizard deck yet but surelly it will drop soon, everything has been dropping.
I'm gonna start saving. Opening a single pack after cashing in hourglasses, when I can barely scrape the bottom of the barrel for hourglasses, doesn't add that much more to the two boosters packs I already get for waiting.
I lean more toward this logic. They’d lose so many players that refuse to whale otherwise. I’m assuming there will be more challenges as new packs are released
got everything i need and my wife has every card ive missed so soon as trading comes out il have double copies off every single card currently in the game :D plus shes saving up summons so she can pull at least 50+ times on the new decks while i use mine on others to have every good card for that too! we cookin
I literally started saving today, what a coincidence haha! I have been playing since the first few days of the soft launch, so I already have most of the cards in the game There are still a couple cards that I really really want to get, or get my 2nd copy of, but hopefully I'll get lucky or just end up having enough to craft it eventually Saving up way ahead of time will give me an advantage when a new set drops, since I don't wanna spend much money. If you have money to spare, then you shouldn't care so much since you'll be paying to pull in the new set
I'm trying my best to save, because I know when the new sets come along, the meta will change drastically. And f2p/light spenders will be at a huge disadvantage.
considering how much bulk I am getting from just doing one pack at a time, I am going to start saving up for 10 packs. It starts to feel bad when the last few days of opening the free packs and only pulling 1 and 2 diamond cards I already have a ton of. I'd gladly trade in a lot of my bulk for more pack points or hourglasses so I can at least have a shot at something I want.
Honestly I just use them for now , I might save them later but I am not even close to actually completing a deck so far , but also the pack opening is too fun , and I am not doing it for the meta deck kinda thing

Pulled crown charizard this morning! Only need the mewtwo. I'm lucky enough to say that I pretty much have every meta deck except pikachu and 1 short of a moltress to play charizard. I have been playing since soft launch but was free to play until it hit the states. Invest time and there will always be hour glasses.
I'm just using a sandlsash/marowak/normal deck and it's working fine. I know once the game picks up with traffic they will release more stronger packs so yeah. Saving a bit for now but still also trying to collect so I find a balance in not using them too much. Right now I'm sitting around 250 after 2 days of playing.
I started on the USA release, I have the dex completed (got Mew) - Got 8 illu charizards and multiple other things. Time to save hourglass for Expansion 2
honestly i think I might reroll for another acc till level 12 then i save the remaining for pack sets in the future with this info about points not carrying over and expiring
you are probably only able to trade the same card that has different language or region. I find no reason for them to implement region system other than this
Tried saving, spent savings anyways, because you can't play without it starting out. Level 6 and used em all to try and get enough cards for a second deck, or even 1 flair for the missions, still no cigar.
I keep 200 and spend anything I get over that. I'm not looking to build meta decks, just build whatever and have fun playing it. I'm starting the Expert Solo Battles right now and I need 12 more wins for the Lapras ex & Starmie ex deck missions. As long as I'm having fun, that's all that matters to me.
Reset if you need save and only do 10 pack openings I promise start with mewtwo and then charizard for battles if collecting do what you want but only do 10 pulls for best

I have been able to build 3meta decks: Pikachu EX + Starmie EX + NineTails Blaine. The plan is to pull 3 packs per day (1month = 90 pulls) And to save all hourglasses untill a new pack comes. (Hopefully by then I'll have at the very least 50pulls ready to go) Huge advantage without spending any money.
newbie here. could you please clarify where you're going to get the third pull per day? my understanding is that there's only 2 from the timer and the daily hour glass income is not enough for another one.
@@renz1848 I paid for the subscription. You get one more pack per day. Plus it gives you more mission to accomplish, meaning it will give you more hourglasses. I think it's worth it for £8 per month.

You get an extra pull every 24 hours from the Premium Pass (subscription) Plus more missions that give more Hourglasses. for £8 in my opinion super worth it, for a low spender like myself. I will do everything in my power not to swipe the big bucks (i will if i want to) but until then i will do my best, to be in a position where i dont have to swipe. 😅
I saved to 360 and opened a booster box basically. Probably continue to do this as it’s fun and doesn’t bother me saving up. Then if an event is needed itlll be so what saved up also.. (might site on 30 permanently later but only if events start needing packs opened)
they do have, which lets you open extra pack a day, thats like 12 hour glass worth a day but caveat is you cannot save it you have to open it. its still 3 times more value than purchasing gold straight away
Was able to build pikachu ex with 2 zapos ex 2 pikachu ex and i used the blitzle line to snipe backrow. Day 1 on global launch no re rolling i pulled the 2 pikachu exs and 1 zapdos ex in my first 10 packs
After over a month playing, there so few cards that I,m missing that spending hourglass simply does not worth. Its better to just rely on daily packs (90 p/ month with the pass) and wonder pick rn
hopefully this game doesn't hate its F2P as much as dragon ball legends.. in dragon ball legends, the powercreep is so absurd that ppl reroll even years old account if they get unlucky even even once on the new top tier anniversary banner
Saving for future metagame is pretty silly imo. There will always be a potential for power creep in next expansions so with that mindset you will never spend this hourglasses. You would just always save for next one

I’m going in on pika pack now to see if I can get lucky plus off all the good stuff I’ve pulled I still need a Sabrina and a misty I only have 1 of each🤣😂😭
For me, I am saving since the last few days. I was lucky and completed a top tier meta deck after 1,5 days of playing so there isn't really a point in opening packs anymore for me (except the free packs). Also, there isn't anything worthwhile to do right now.
2 days playing this game already have the complete maroak deck set( only need a second copy of sabrina) . lol. got the second maroak ex by a super lucky wonder trade. I'm already have a hight tier deck....
In my case I find most PVP boring since there is no a real reward from doing it apart of leveling up. Right now there are very stingy with those hourglasses.
Me, Day 1: "Yeah, I'm going to like save pack hourglasses. I'm not gonna use it until I really need to, heck I probably won't even use it. I can wait for 12 hours." Me, Day 2: "Fk the 12 hours wait! I want more cards! More! More! More!"
Spending them every chance I get. I feel like 1 pack per 12 hours is just insane. Even 2 per day with premium pass is still a kick in the crotch. There should be other ways to obtain packs without buying them. Maybe when we level up every 20 levels, you should be gifted a booster box to open. That way the battles remain balanced. I be getting in battles with people and I just feel bad for them cuz they have such a weak lineup. They usually quit after 2 turns depending on what deck I play and how my cards fall.
1 pack at a time is killing me i save them for 10 pulls. the thing thats annoying me is the bonus pack and the 2 daily packs. must be opened 1 by 1 and its dumb lol... more on not having the cards needed to complete decks i bought all the opening sale poke gold and the gardevoir bundle and put them all in mewtwo i did not get a single Giovanni i couldnt believe it cant get trainers to save my life. the only thing that make sense is just crafting them cause building decks with 300-400 pack points is easily possible but still.. i just wanna pull them xD

I’m surprised at how barebones the game is, I was expecting something like Yugioh Duel Links, but there’s no comparison. Huge lack of content at release, but hopefully they add more stuff to do. I refuse to spend money on collecting digital cards if there’s no real reason to use them.
Step 1: Reroll until you mostly get the deck you wanna play with until new packs arrive. Step 2: Fill the deck with useless trainer cards and perfect it only with free daily packs. Step 3: Save every hourglass so you can get a new deck on first day when they release the next packs. Step 4: Proffit. Oh, you got bored and want to play another decks? Don't break step 3, just repeat the process with a new account.

Use your pack points to get the smaller pokemon... You can get the Charmeleon and so on. That is how you build decks.
Although i suggest using it first on support cards like sabrina or giovanni since they already staples

As for what to do with hourglasses: I've opened 67 packs in the last few days as a FTP having completing all the available content. With login rewards and 12 hour resets, I'll get another 70 pulls in the next 30 days guaranteed, doubling the amount I've already pulled (and that's not mentioning the hourglasses I get every time I level). It therefore makes sense to save hourglasses then, right? It's more pragmatic and long-term beneficial to my account as I'm most likely going to get decent pulls in the next 30 days to fill out my pokedex.
My advice: If you love pulling so much that you simply can't wait, just keep creating new accounts. You'll need extra devices, sure, but you'll tire yourself out eventually and it won't hurt so much to wait.
Don't save. Make a new account on an emulator/other phone and save those and wait for trade

I just spend them all until I have the cards that I want to finish my different decks that I really want. After that I don’t chase rare cards using hourglasses. I will start saving them probably in a few days from now
i think once new solo missions start coming out it'll slowly giving f2p players a chance during online battles because 90% of online battles you'll be going against someone thats spent 100+ $ into the game already to pull all the meta cards
I’m 100 packs deep into mewtwo and no mewtwo ex. Pulled charizard first couple packs. Pulled Pikachu in first 10 packs. RGN is crazy.

I pulled two Mewtwo ex on a 10 pack pull. I've opened probably 80 packs or so. My wife has pulled 6 total packs and pulled Charizard ex lol

I got completed mewtwo, cheese articuno and viable charizard and venusaur decks. I guess gonna start saving and use daily pack and wonder picks to get missing ex and support cards
Saving for 10 definitely gets you better results there’s no question the more you open at one time the better results I re-rolled 3x and experimented with opening packs one at a time vs 10 at a time. Opening one at a time yielded no top tier EX cards then I re-rolled and opened them up 10 at a time and definitely saw more key cards then I re-rolled once more and I’m satisfied with the account I re-rolled as i finally pulled 2 MewTwo immersive and a Pikachu Ex and a Zapdos EX and this was within my first 3 10 pack openings. I’m one that doesn’t really care about the rarity of the cards, if I get them then it happens. I just really want the card x2 so I can play decks. I would’ve been satisfied with just getting the MewTwo EX base. As long as I can play the game and complete my decks I’m completely satisfied

I think its all about what make u fun, if u get fun openning just open. Personally im full f2p and i rerolled till have a pretty good account with a lot of decks option to play, now that i have a lot of decks i start save till next big set and maybe i will spend some in the mass outbreak day.

if you have a tier 1 deck (mewtwo, pikachu or articuno ex) then you should save. even if they add ranked before the next set, one meta deck will be enough.
going into set 2 without saved hourglasses will be foolish because set 2 will have staple trainer/supporter cards that go into every single deck.
Still trying to get into game. going second very high percent to win unless you got misty and power up a Pokémon that can one shot can make you win one turn if they didn't pull basic pokes. Also learned that so far the bent cards do nothing and you can just hit skip as cards have already been selected. Like the game some and hope events get better and they stop nerfing rewards from card packs giving less points and events costing more to do like the wonder picks used to be one for the 2 energy pick and image shown 1 energy and they didn't change it.
I always spend. It is, after all, a game of opening boosters :D
I'm a gacha veteran when I started I was using up my hourglasses but after a point I started saving them for future sets, I don't have a Charizard deck yet but surelly it will drop soon, everything has been dropping.

I'm gonna start saving. Opening a single pack after cashing in hourglasses, when I can barely scrape the bottom of the barrel for hourglasses, doesn't add that much more to the two boosters packs I already get for waiting.

There is ZERO reason to save, when the new packs come new challenges and missions will too ensuring more hourglasses.
I lean more toward this logic. They’d lose so many players that refuse to whale otherwise. I’m assuming there will be more challenges as new packs are released

got everything i need and my wife has every card ive missed so soon as trading comes out il have double copies off every single card currently in the game :D plus shes saving up summons so she can pull at least 50+ times on the new decks while i use mine on others to have every good card for that too! we cookin

Saving up way ahead of time will give me an advantage when a new set drops, since I don't wanna spend much money. If you have money to spare, then you shouldn't care so much since you'll be paying to pull in the new set
I'm trying my best to save, because I know when the new sets come along, the meta will change drastically. And f2p/light spenders will be at a huge disadvantage.
I would say to start saving when you get at least two powerful decks and keep up with your wonder picks to.fill out the rest.
considering how much bulk I am getting from just doing one pack at a time, I am going to start saving up for 10 packs. It starts to feel bad when the last few days of opening the free packs and only pulling 1 and 2 diamond cards I already have a ton of. I'd gladly trade in a lot of my bulk for more pack points or hourglasses so I can at least have a shot at something I want.
Honestly I just use them for now , I might save them later but I am not even close to actually completing a deck so far , but also the pack opening is too fun , and I am not doing it for the meta deck kinda thing

Pulled crown charizard this morning! Only need the mewtwo. I'm lucky enough to say that I pretty much have every meta deck except pikachu and 1 short of a moltress to play charizard. I have been playing since soft launch but was free to play until it hit the states. Invest time and there will always be hour glasses.
I'm just using a sandlsash/marowak/normal deck and it's working fine. I know once the game picks up with traffic they will release more stronger packs so yeah. Saving a bit for now but still also trying to collect so I find a balance in not using them too much. Right now I'm sitting around 250 after 2 days of playing.
I started on the USA release, I have the dex completed (got Mew) - Got 8 illu charizards and multiple other things. Time to save hourglass for Expansion 2

you are probably only able to trade the same card that has different language or region. I find no reason for them to implement region system other than this
Tried saving, spent savings anyways, because you can't play without it starting out. Level 6 and used em all to try and get enough cards for a second deck, or even 1 flair for the missions, still no cigar.
I keep 200 and spend anything I get over that. I'm not looking to build meta decks, just build whatever and have fun playing it. I'm starting the Expert Solo Battles right now and I need 12 more wins for the Lapras ex & Starmie ex deck missions. As long as I'm having fun, that's all that matters to me.
Reset if you need save and only do 10 pack openings I promise start with mewtwo and then charizard for battles if collecting do what you want but only do 10 pulls for best
I used to spend hourglasses every time I got them, but I've got 108 saved now for the next pack set.
honestly I want mew, but I'll be saving for the next set. I have like 80 only so I at least want like a 10 pull with my hourglasses for the next batch.
I have been able to build 3meta decks: Pikachu EX + Starmie EX + NineTails Blaine.
The plan is to pull 3 packs per day (1month = 90 pulls)
And to save all hourglasses untill a new pack comes. (Hopefully by then I'll have at the very least 50pulls ready to go)

newbie here. could you please clarify where you're going to get the third pull per day? my understanding is that there's only 2 from the timer and the daily hour glass income is not enough for another one.

Plus it gives you more mission to accomplish, meaning it will give you more hourglasses.

I saved to 360 and opened a booster box basically. Probably continue to do this as it’s fun and doesn’t bother me saving up. Then if an event is needed itlll be so what saved up also.. (might site on 30 permanently later but only if events start needing packs opened)

they do have, which lets you open extra pack a day, thats like 12 hour glass worth a day but caveat is you cannot save it you have to open it. its still 3 times more value than purchasing gold straight away

Saving for future metagame is pretty silly imo. There will always be a potential for power creep in next expansions so with that mindset you will never spend this hourglasses. You would just always save for next one

For me, I am saving since the last few days. I was lucky and completed a top tier meta deck after 1,5 days of playing so there isn't really a point in opening packs anymore for me (except the free packs). Also, there isn't anything worthwhile to do right now.

In my case I find most PVP boring since there is no a real reward from doing it apart of leveling up. Right now there are very stingy with those hourglasses.
Me, Day 1: "Yeah, I'm going to like save pack hourglasses. I'm not gonna use it until I really need to, heck I probably won't even use it. I can wait for 12 hours."
Me, Day 2: "Fk the 12 hours wait! I want more cards! More! More! More!"
Spending them every chance I get. I feel like 1 pack per 12 hours is just insane. Even 2 per day with premium pass is still a kick in the crotch. There should be other ways to obtain packs without buying them. Maybe when we level up every 20 levels, you should be gifted a booster box to open. That way the battles remain balanced. I be getting in battles with people and I just feel bad for them cuz they have such a weak lineup. They usually quit after 2 turns depending on what deck I play and how my cards fall.
60 packs per month plus 3 ex with wonder pick as ftp. Probably get a complete collection in 3 months. Pokemon got to make some money.

I’m surprised at how barebones the game is, I was expecting something like Yugioh Duel Links, but there’s no comparison. Huge lack of content at release, but hopefully they add more stuff to do. I refuse to spend money on collecting digital cards if there’s no real reason to use them.
Step 1: Reroll until you mostly get the deck you wanna play with until new packs arrive.
Step 2: Fill the deck with useless trainer cards and perfect it only with free daily packs.
Step 3: Save every hourglass so you can get a new deck on first day when they release the next packs.
Step 4: Proffit. Oh, you got bored and want to play another decks? Don't break step 3, just repeat the process with a new account.
