@@Hero-er9oj That’s kind of why I didn’t pick mewtwo as the starting pack, 80 is good but when it has a chance to do 0 I feel like that’s a massive gamble especially If you don’t have any other good cards
Another deckbuilding tip that I wouldn’t have thought of, is how good Fossils are! Not even necessarily the Pokémon they evolve into, but having a good Sabrina target with essentially a free retreat cost is very strong! If you’re worried about it taking up too much space on the bench, you can just discard it 👍
2 more tips Cards can be used in more than one deck. Anyone who played the GBC Pokemon card game remembers that problem. Attacks that hit benched Pokemon will not take weakness into account.
The tip about focusing on fun in the now versus down the line when it comes to crafting is super helpful to hear! I’m admittedly super stressed because I haven’t been able to pull a copy of Starmie EX or Melmetal. Starmie I want cuz he’s good, Melmetal I want cuz I think it’d be fun to run a steel deck. I’m obviously way closer to being able to craft two Melmetals than Starmies, so I might just bite the bullet and try and craft the steel boys! Or I’ll just save up and craft another copy of whatever I pull first, and further deprive myself of either or… 😂
Don't do it melmetal prob sucks. Find fun meta decks instead and work towards those instead. If you like melmetal's tankiness, maybe an exeggutor venusaur deck would interest you
Been closely following your Snap channel when I stumbled on the first video of this channel. Thanks for not only bringing this game to my intention but always giving fun and enlightening guides to boot!
(Coming back to the top to mention that if you haven't noticed, *all* cards in battles will always display as your current language.) I would add that if you're interested in collecting cards from different regions you can change your language in your settings and any cards collected will be from that region. It will also give you wonder picks from other players with that language so you can get some friends from there to continue getting WPs in different languages. I started out just trying to collect the promo cards for the events in other languages, but opening packs is fun this way too. Now instead of getting annoyed at a pack of all dupes I'm like "At least I have them in French now"
i thought at this point i'd know every tip in the vid but i still got (pleasantly) surprised by the tip regarding the Card Dex view options! that way we know which promo cards are coming in future events
I’m with you on the pack points. I pulled 3 immersive ex mewtwos back to back. I am about to spend pack points to get ralts just so I can play the deck lol. Feels like a waste, but I want to play the deck.
I think multitype decks would be so much more fun if instead of random energy every turn, say, the first 2-3 turns set a pattern which is followed for the rest of the game. So say, instead of 4 turns in a row all being Water when you really need that Electric energy, it'd be a reliable Electric-Water-Electric-Water.
I use the 18 trainer Articuno deck. Should be easy to find in google. It's a quick deck and easy to play. So I use it to farm. And if it fails, I concede and go for the next game
I actually feel the opposite for pack points, I spent a good amount early getting cheap-ish cards that I wanted quickly, but now after all the packs i've opened since the game came out, I have multiple copies of those cards I crafted.... when I easily could have crafted a cool rare card which is extremely difficult to get. obviously this feeling will differ per person. but I definitely regret spending those points early
Thank you for these great tipps! Also, I was wondering; how many Pokemon should one put in a deck of 20 cards? Half of them, and the other half with supporter and item cards?
So far I'm having a good time with the game. Started with ExeggutorEX, got a second one from the first burst of packs. Figured that was good enough not to re-roll. I'm kinda wishing there was better duplicate protection already, getting flair for pack filler is a waste of dust. I am on board with flair in general I think though, being different for different cards is nice. Having to set them for every deck is a bit of a QoL miss. Is opening packs a visual disaster for other people? Everything else works fine but the carousel is a flashy mess of textures, same with the pack, and swiping to open either works right away, or takes 20 tries. The swiping could be my screen/finger; using my thumb gets more consistent results but not perfect.
Aww I got a *godly* Rare pack with two Crown Pikachu EXs, an Immersive Pikachu EX, and the "fancy" 2-star Zapdos and Wigglytuff EXs. Super bummed to learn no one can Wonder Pick from it!
Darn, I was wondering how to unlock those item trainers, didn't know they were the reward in the tutorial/guide section so I ended up spending shop points for them. :(
Been playing for two days Managed to grind pretty hard take advantage of those $.99 three dollar and $10 gold to open extra packs and have a somewhat serviceable Mewtwo deck up and running Something I’m still learning is when to bench and went to bench. Imagine my surprise when even though I have type advantage, my opponent is killing my far-fetched with a bench snipe *face palm *
Any clue if the backside packs mean anything? Everytime I open a pack I spin the wheel of packs and I'd say 1/3rd of the time there'll be backside back. I seem to always get better cards out of those packs, but no clue if that's how it works or just coincidence. Excellent tips guide!
@@King-iz6ub Nah I'm talking about the ones that show up pre-flipped. You can see them when the packs come spinning down. Also I rotate the wheel of packs from below so I don't accidentally flip them myself
Having played Snap since launch, Pokémon TCG is a whole new monster as a beginner. Especially since I know nothing about Pokémon. The many resources and odd menu layout is so overwhelming. Do you have tips on the resource aspect of Pokémon TCG? Is there any reason I should be saving Hour Glasses instead of using it all to further increase my collection? What should I prioritize using my shop tickets on? Also: How do I know if I have a base card vs a “variant”? Can I turn a card into the cool 3D immersive art or is it only for specific “variants”? It’s so much to understand in a new environment.
1. the only reason i had in mind for saving hourglass is saving for future pack , which imo only worth if u done building at least 1 competent deck and u feel fulffilled enough 2. buy item card (the important one, like xspeed, pokeball, potion) until u have 2 copies of each. The rest is to be exchanged for hourglass refill 3. base card have thoose standard layout with the square border etc, variant had full-art instead 4. no u cant upgrade card variants, u can burn dupes and dust for adding cosmetic effects called flair though

In case anybody is curious, the reason everything is divisible by 10 is because the physical game uses damage counters which are all 10 damage.
