Hey Brian and Jason I love your videos yall bring good times in bad ones. Thanks for being awesome. Love you guys have a good one.
CHOWP
it said the contest is for a mug?
You know, one day for April fool's, they should make their sponsor code "Rouge" just to troll. It'd be beautiful
Those who fell for it would sure be red in the face when they found out!
I wonder if any sponsor would create a backup landing with that code just to cash more and also mock on blasphemers who can't spell
thats code ROUGE - R, O, U, G, E please spell it right
but they'll still pronounce it as rogue and insist the code is rogue and not rouge
I always mistype it like that
This whole episode is a wonderful lesson in Correlation ≠ Causation.
So... you don't believe any of it?
Man myspace was awesome, you knew exactly which drugs your friends were on just by the music on their homepage.
If you need myspace music playlists to know what drugs your friends were on, were they really your friends.
@@henryviii4629 Depends on which drugs I was on at the time I suppose.
Aw yeah. Makes my day whenever you guys release a video.
I also have a few ideas of stuff to do if you want: more cryptography stuff, zip guns, gasoline jelly, more food videos, more homemade booze, making black powder, whatever
What is gasoline jelly?
Grace Atkins
Essentially poor mans napalm. It can be made by mixing gasoline with various chemicals but the easiest method is to just stick chunks of styrofoam into gasoline. If you add a lot of styrofoam to the gasoline, it becomes almost like play-doh. Of you add less styrofoam the stuff becomes very sticky but still remains semi liquid. The thickened stuff is great for starting a campfire when everything is wet. The gooier version is a downright scary weapon. The stuff melts when lit and can burn for up to an hour if it is not disturbed. If it gets on you it can become stuck to your skin while it continues burning, and as it burns it spreads out from the melting.
To be completely honest, these informational videos you guys do are really entertaining. Keep it up!
hideNxd Thanks! There’s a lot of stuff in our wheelhouse that’s difficult to demonstrate, but deserves to be covered. This style allows us to do that.
Jason in the beginning ad looks like Doc Mitchell from Fallout: New Vegas... I was waiting for that glitch where his head rotates 360°.
"You're awake... How 'bout that!"
Modern rogue should look at the IG Noble prizes
A study showing that dead things can think on fMRI won this a few years ago
And a study showing that cats ARE in fact both solid and liquid
Its hilarious
Well if a cat can both be dead and alive, being solid and liquid isn't that strange
True that
The first story is VERY true, I can attest to it 100%
I invest in stocks and I’ve made a lot of money from predict trends from Twitter specifically and translating to the market. Perfect example is the uproar about Nike and Colin Kappaernik (pretty sure I spelled that wrong, who cares?) the market after that was insane
There's also a correlation between ice cream sales and crime rate.
Because summer makes people violent
Smugly actually yeah. The relationship is really between ambient temperature and aggression.
A correlation between drowning and ice cream sales
@@jkm7983 therefore, correlation between crime rates and number of nic cage movies
When is the Modern Rogue going to delve into homemade firearms? Would love to see you two professional idiots make black powder matchlock muskets.
Edit: It would also be a good opportunity to inform people about the laws pertaining to creating your own firearms, as a lot of people don't seem to understand them and believe it's a crime.
BeardDragon_ oh god
Go check out the slingshot channel.
There's a LOT involved in being able to do anything like that legally.
Yeah, big them up, that'll work. Lol.
@@theindooroutdoorsman That really depends on where you live.
8:15 Kudos to the editor for coming up with shortened article titles that use exactly 11 characters.
You guys are awesome! Been a fan since the spikes, much love from the Valley. If you're ever here in town, ill buy you a beer and shake your hand! Keep making quality content and thanks for building this community.
These are my favorite style of MR videos.
Man I've missed these kind of videos from you guys
You guys make my day when you upload
Brian: "The stock market is literally just a bunch of humans making rational decisions."
January 2021, WSB: "Hold my beer."
Excellent use of vague enough title to force an initial click, but maintaining the MR standard of making this video useful for all time.
when is a podcast dropping would love to listen to you guys at work
Awesome!
But do humans really make rational decisions?
We don't.
So you are saying you have never made a rational decision in your entire life??
Check out the book predictably irrational
Yeah basically
Rational to the person that makes the decision, at least.
Does this mean the modern rogue is incredibly rich ?
I had an idea for a video. I'd like to see MR cover things like amateur coin collecting and restoration, maybe beachcombing, those kinds of hobbies.
these talks would make a great podcast
The sponsor intro made me smile :)
I feel appreciated
Best channel on UA-cam
I was both disturbed yet intrigued by the Myspace page selling knives idea.
Cause I'm a modern rogue!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍
RogueSpace - The social media platform for Rogues.
Jason:My house overtly says poor.
(Later)
Average size in a country is inversely proportional to economic progress.
Also him:Maybe that can be applied to individuals.
Hmm...
You cant make rational divisions based on how you feel.
That part of the brain where your feels are is literally nicknamed irrational.
I'm trying to watch everything you guys have done. What's your favorite show you have made so far?
Interesting...rogue science is best science! Thanks for the mind-stretching video!
,,Yeah, he must have been very rich"

I'd be inclined to think that the average female mathematician has rather sizeable "nether endowment". Hard disagree with Jason & Brian.
Hay Brain. What is your most used pebble app. Mine is probably Get Up, Stand Up. It reminds me to stand up every 30 minutes
Love the vids
I don't feel you guys explained the last one particularly well or did it justice.
You got it right with moods in the stock market. It's not a bunch of people making rational decisions... It's a bunch of people making emotional decisions and some people making logical decisions.
We all know a modern rogue should know how to dress to impress.
Lets see you two jump in to a pair of suits!
As nice as that would look, suits are rather restrictive and it's hard to move around. Jeans and a tshirt are easy to move around in and because Brian plays with fire he can go the all cotton route.
They’re actually working on that
@@rampagent9226 Not saying that they should make it an everyday thing. Maybe just an episode on what separates different suit styles or stuff
@@rampagent9226 A suit is restrictive only when it's not tailored right. I think an Italian cut is best in terms of mobility. And honestly, who doesn't want to look dapper as fuck? As for the jeans and t, you can't wear those to a formal event without looking like an asshole douchebag.
@@marticon666 I'd say the contrary - people that go to formal events (business meetings, funerals, weddings, bank heists) dressed in suits are pompous stiffs.
Brian, remember what The Example Show stated.
"There's no crying in baseball!"
You guys should do a vid on password cracking
The cold open reminds me of when I was in 3rd or 4th grade, and when someone threw a basketball at the hoop and said teddy bear it went in
Very nice.
"Every comment is a miracle" -Brian Brushwood ~2019
I am not really sure about that but ok
The Modern Rogue builds a bomb. Yes, no, maybe?
(Small and at the headquarters)
I never got the professional's guide to fire eating from the last gimmie.
email scamstuff support at scamstuffstore@gmail.com, your copy probably got lost in your spam folder
But my house has not been updated on google street view in a literal decade.
You must live in a shit hole if a google car hasn't been there in 10 years.
@@AG.Floats my house isnt even on street view
Anyone else hate how UA-cam putting 2 unskipable ads instead of just one?
I feel that google street view doesn't work in the UK. From the front mine and my neighbours houses all look the same. But I work a fairly average paid IT job, my next door neighbour owns his own pluming company and is basically loaded and a few doors down from me is a student house that stinks of weed and lack of money.
Number 3 is proof of correlation\causation
Great video! Would love to see a flintknock type pistol diy. 🤔
Good video

You've clearly never seen "This is Spinal Tap," Brian.
So you’re telling me there’s a reason why I’m well financially? Damn
Do a vid about facing ur biggest fears
The new video isnt working lol, got the notification and it aint poppin up "Sending nuke codes over ham radio"
I never had a MySpace page because Friendster was more prevalent here.
When you say bloody Sunday I'm assuming you mean the one in the 1970s and not the one in 1920?
They are referring to an incident that happened last Sunday.
Had to reset the injury counter again...
@@brianhopper3013 Is that a video by them?
Those are basically correlations. Not to but confused with cause and effect
Does anyone else know what happend to their latest video about nuclear codes
Correlation does not equal causation.
Just another beautiful thoughtful miracle.....wahhhhh wahhhhh!!!
4:44 Correlation is not causation.
How was your day
Sup boys love your show
you said turbo grafx 16. Bonk was great. By the way, you guys rock.
So Twitter must be really pissed at the moment...
OOF
*looks into pants
"Stonks"
Is there a sniper aiming at Jason in the intro...
Is Today’s vid taken down?
yes
Good luck trying to find my house in google street view...
Woooo
Superstition is an odd one. I definitely have never believed that unexplainable, supernatural forces were at play. But it happens all the time that I doubt the truth of a particular bit of science understanding. I guess I'm not superstitious, but I am skeptical and creative and willing to entertain that we don't have all the pertinent information
4:36 "So Twitter's still number 1" #brandnewsentence
Turbografx 16 Mini coming out next March! 50 games! Which is especially cool because I will have just turned 50. 😎
Wait! Isn't this filmed at the old studio?
Eddie Christiansen It is indeed!
Streetview might not work when some houses aren't even on streetview...
So where can I go to see what Google Street view thinks I'm worth by the photo of my house?
interesting.
good vid yeet
Ok, i need that Baby politics superpower predictions: we've got some really interesting situation in Russia around local elections. I want to know how it ends!
Correlation is not causation
Im googling Chinese parenting as we speak trying to predict whats going to happen in Hong Kong but I dont think I needed this tip to predict it.
Why the dill pickle on the thumbnail
When someone is driving a Ferrari and you make a comment to yourself, "Someone is compensating for something."

Suomi mainittu! Torille?
5:27 So I'm going to be the richest man alive? AYYY LETS GOOOO
Ohh such fond memories of people murdering HTML coding to customize their Myspace page. I'm pretty sure sites like Square space started because they couldn't take garbage looking pages from people coping and pasting random things.
5:25 *Actually the whole genital thing and economic success could have a real relationship: Which is both are related to stress.* If there is more stress in the environment that means a more dangerous environment which programs people (and animals) to have a bigger sex drive, higher aggression, impulsivity, lower IQ, etc. More sex would require better sex organs and aggression and impulsivity means more crime which is bad for the economy and so is a lower average IQ.
:( you guys deleted the new video
What?
Narcotic Flamingo the og version was removed and then re added 3 hours after
@@anondimwit There was a typo in the original. NBD
@@TheStrangerous ok that make sense ( still waiting on the seance episode )
Ayyyeee
Fucking loved the TG-16, best cartridges ever.
The modern rogue still going hard?
Every time I watch a Modern Rogue episode, I say to myself, "Why does Brian always wear the same shirt?". Then I realize it's just recycled ad footage.
We've never recycled ad footage before.
Wow so Brian really does wear the same shirt....haha. Not giving you a hard time, just got a chuckle out of it.
We shoot ads and episodes in batches, so there's a certain degree of recording 3 videos back-to-back which results in a lot of that.
Totally understand!
Hello
Finally, twitter is useful for something
Meat stick?
Correlation does not imply causation.
Off the top of my head, I can think of a reason that supposed trends in penis size might correlate to wealth of a country, though I’ll warn you the reason isn’t logically sound and is steeped in eugenics.
There are some “scientists” who claim that penis size is substantially different in different countries and across ethnicities. There’s one named Richard Lynn who conducted a study in an attempt to prove this fact. He was successful, if you count using self reporting/fake statistics (unfortunately for Lynn, most scientists don’t accept those things in legit studies). FYI, Lynn has been proven wrong multiple times over on that front, both by people who called out his bullshit techniques for collecting statistics and by numerous other studies proving that penis size doesn’t differ in any statistically significant way across ethnicities.
Unfortunately, even though he’s been proven wrong, many people, including Lynn himself, have used his “findings” to promote the idea of “race realism,” also known as scientific racism, which tries (and fails) to find significant differences between different races in order to fuel racism. One theory Lynn has is that penis size can be related to behavior and intelligence. He says that Asians have small penises, meaning their cultures are more mathematic and robotic, and that Africans have large penises, making their cultures less intelligent and more animalistic, and claims that Europeans are the “happy medium” between the two extremes. So, considering the relative poverty of many African countries, and the relative wealth of a lot of European and Asian countries, I wouldn’t be surprised if one could find a correlation between penis size and wealth were they to use Lynn’s study. Unfortunately a lot of people still use his study despite how many times it’s been disproven.
Anyways, rant over. I know it’s not exactly the most pleasant subject but that third claim struck me as odd considering every legit study on penis size has found no statistically significant difference across countries. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read all this.
Edit: Also I just wanna be clear that I’m not tryna call you guys racist or anything lol
You know, if you play this video backwards, you can hear them saying gibberish.
