Touring in FS is good. I did a Scandinavian and North European tour, a coastal tour around Ireland, Italy, southern France and Spain and back to the UK then flew over the course of 3 weeks to Australia from Bristol, (my home airport) worked my way from Darwin, east through Queensland and down the coast to Sydney, over to New Zealand, toured both islands then back to Australia. I am currently in Adelaide waiting for the update to my Quadrant for 2024 so I can continue touring. After Australia I will head to East Asia. Lots to do and see.
I think using a controller is making life harder for you, particularly in the turns. I couldn't make out the turn and slip indicator on my phone, but the rudder and ailerons didn't feel balanced, and you were too high for that landing. I have a PPL, and in my experience, the key to MS Flightsim is the same as in the real world: Power Management is key. Take it slow, keep your speed and profile under control, and it is pretty easy no matter what you fly in the game. Aviate, navigate, communicate, and remember: 🎵 "You can always go around" 🎵 😂
@@dvs21a I think I was having bandwidth issues with this. The boxes came and went and as a result of trying to follow them they spawned in late resulting in my height. ATC in and out and didn’t get the clearance etc. did two of the missions after this and all went pretty well
A spot of "training" mate ? see what I did there hehe !! I downloaded this a few days ago and it's running very well now, great in VR. Did the Cessna licence , based out of East Midlands airport. The fun rides you can offer once you pass the licence are a bit cheesy but it's still good. I had the ATC audio when I did this, must be a bug.
Yeah I think maybe was my connection. On odd occasions it has popped up and told me ATC is restricted due to the connection. I have done a few of these missions since and you are right, the voices are painful from the back seat lol
That is cool you learned to fly in real life, TinTin and get your license years ago. Are you still able to fly or do you need to go for a new test after so many years? Very challenging to accomplish, nicely done, and in the game too.
@@TinTin_57 I held back for a week to let the disaster sort itself out. Managed to fly twice, both whilst trying to remember my remaps from 2020 or to find what button the autopilot is. Still none the wiser. Xbox controller
It appears to have no "free roam" option where you can just take an aeroplane (Never ever call it a plane, it is an aeroplane!" - Name the film. 😉) and fly it anywhere you like. The game has become far too big and far too complex to be enjoyable anymore. I still have my floppy disk containing the original SubLogic Flight Simulator II that I first played on my Commodore Amiga back in the late 1980's. That was the game that eventually went on to become MSFS. I do also still have a couple of older Flight Simulator CD-ROMS (one is from 1998 iirc) but they won't install on a modern PC unfortunately. This is one game I can confidently say I will not be buying, as much as I love all things to do with aeroplanes - even more so that I do trains. I will, however, watch your videos with interest. You definitely lost points for taxiing far too fast and not sticking to the path - which is why I think it kept disappearing. Clearly the game is very forgiving. Now, write out 100 times "I will never assume I have clearance to land again." 🤣🤣

Nice, I’m really looking forward to getting into it
This I shall enjoy. . When I watch it. 😅
You'd be very popular with all the Typhoon and Hawk bods! 😂

Yeah you need to keep current t unfortunately. The sim is a nice substitute though
@@TinTin_57 Thanks TinTin. This new '24 version has a few glitches it looks like, but you did the best with what they give you here in the game.
Does that count as an Oxenholme? 😂😂
There was a slight one yeah lol
Mine freezes at East Mids, as soon as it loads
It still has some issues clearly but had massive potential

@@tdurb0 same, it now loads and is ready to play in less than 2 minutes. Really enjoying this game, great in VR as well.

Cheers mate for that 👍🏻
From what I've seen . This game is just a buggy mess at the moment. Probably stick with the old one for now. . Maybe one day I will learn how to land

@SpeccyMan reach for the sky. . . No free roam mode. Thanks, that makes my mind up
Free Flight is the free roam, it’s there. This is just the new career mode
@TinTin_57 okay. Thanks. I'm still not going to buy it yet. Maybe in the future. Can you transfer your DLCs from the old game ?
@ you can, but not all available yet. They’re working on it
@@animaltvi9515 Correct.
Good to see Microsoft’s products are still as bad as they are expensive. Maybe it’s just as well there isn’t a PlayStation version!
