Gear change speeds are 15, 27 & 40. Coast in 4th, neutral as you come to a stand. To start go straight to 1st, brake to release, apply throttle.

Hello TinTin I tried to get the Br class 313 from the Microsoft store but it seems to be only available for train Sim world 2 is the class 313 not available anymore for Train sim world 5

I dont think they have the sounds right on the 101. It allways had that loud rasping wet fart noise when accelerating. Never forget that. Don't recall it having that in the game. Not that I've driven it a lot. . Allways seems to have a 31 attached when i drive it. 😅

Pity the WCML isn't as busy as this route . Bit of a disappointment the WCML. Not thus one played it alot on classic . Not so much on this . Thats just because i don't get alot of time and theres so many routes to chose from .

For that authentic southern rail experience make sure you are never on time. . 😅.

it's called Newport Bridge....its decommissioned now so always stays down for traffic

Tees Valley and NTP I loved back in the day as it was finally some BR Blue away from all the modern day routes that DTG did all the time...and then they just stopped doing 80s routes. Thank god Just Trains are doing routes in that period now so we can hopefully get some more use out of the 20 & 31 packs

It’s nice to see the put the Tees Transporter Bridge in the game also famous for been shown in Auf Weidersehen Pet too. I’m from the area and that bridge links Middlesbrough to Hartlepool also pedestrians can walk over the top of the bridge too! But it’s good to see this route/ the north east in a game

Man, they have to fix the contrast for this game, the fake HDR effect is bad, really bad. At mid day, you can barely see any detail on shadows and on the other side you have overexposed highlights.

Had no idea that would be a reason for the 31 hauling a 101 as stand in carriages, kinda makes sense actually

G’day TinTin, I’m a new subscriber and I’m absolutely loving these videos. I love driving the 387 myself and I’ve invested a lot of money in TSW, absolutely love it! Though, I’d love if they did an Aussie route or two, that would be cool. I love what they’ve done with the Battersea Power Station in real life and that they’ve preserved the inner control room of the station amongst other things with the new housing and shopping precinct that is now there. My dream has always to visit England, particularly Cornwall, parts of Scotland and Wales too where the bulk of my family ancestry is from. My ancestors worked predominantly in the mines around Moonta and Burra in our home state of South Australia shortly after arriving from the old country in late 19th century and early 20th century. We’ve got a particularly strong Cornish history in SA and one that I’m proud to be apart of. Visiting all the preserved railways is the top of my list when we eventually visit in the near future. Admittedly, I’d have to settle on a small number because they’re so many lol. I’m a huge Great Western fan and to see GWR steam in the game would be lovely. I think if they spent more time on steam over a couple of years of development and not rush it, I think the route would sell like hotcakes. I appreciate the work that goes into something like this, and I’d prefer to wait years on end for a steam route or two to be brought to the game. The game has huge potential. I miss TSC with a passion because of the immense selection of steam content including GWR stuff but unfortunately I don’t have the hardware to run it. What I do have is an Xbox Series X and I absolutely loved when steam came to console. Admittedly, there were many teething problems as with everything but to move away entirely from steam is not the way to go in my opinion. I’ve seen videos be minding to the fact the last steam route did not make the money as intended which I felt a little sad for to be perfectly frank with you. If a steam route was a long term project over many months and years as I said previously, and every problem was ironed out in such a way that it would be near perfect on release with many different steam locomotives and pieces of rolling stock then I would be like many others lining up to get it. But yes, I’d love if steam came back and even on a route like this with a Merchant Navy add on with Pullman Coaches, that would be fantastic!!! The 101 is one of my favourite trains in game. Used go travel on it as a lad in the 80s, so a combination of nostalgia but also the fact that there is nothing else like the 101 in game. I use it a lot on Blackpool Branches.

Class 101 hands down, best DMU in tsw to date. No question! Another awesome video!

Just been playing this route with the modded timetable by Faux using the 142. The 101 is fun to drive, like the changing of gears. Use to like riding on these irl, nice and comfy.

Honestly the changing of gears and the braking threw me so much for ages when playing the 101 still haven’t mastered it but it’s definitely a unique experience 😂

I’ve travelled this route on a pacer a few times as it’s fairly local to me. Hasn’t changed much since the 80s, aside from the industry all but vanishing. It’s a fantastic route though, definitely deserves a remaster.

I grew up in the area and traveled to Middlesbrough, Redcar and Saltburn alot. When I bought this route, it really gave me flashbacks to bygone years. The sounds were just as I remember them. Only thing it misses is the stink as you head east out of M'bro to the heavy industry at Grange town and further on. And back then, we used to travel to Teeside Airport as teens to see the planes. That was before it became a virtual ghost station. As for map in TSW5. Only taken them 5 years to make the map semi-useful after saying it was sub-standard for years!

Great Video! It may cost a lot of money but it's still way cheaper than a model railway would be with all the stock!

Tintin some feedback for you. My neighbour as packed in playing train sim world 5 he said some of the routes are way to hard to drive i think he was meaning sand patch grade, cajon pass and horseshoe curve and all the other Americans and Canadian routes. He is now playing all the Call of Duty games and Resident Evil games. I couldn't stop laughing when he told me 😂😂😂😂

Tintin that straight line from Eaglescliffe that you go down before you turn off is a historical railway line that's the line that was used in the first Stockton and Darlington railway in the 1800 i believe or earlier. Oh look at Thornaby depot alas it is no longer there anymore it as been demolished and flattened. I have been on the road bridge that risers. 😊

For me the BML is my route with the highest mileage (I am planning on getting Blackpool on the winter sale if it has a good sale)

I really like this route. I don’t play it enough I still think it compares well to some of the more recent routes.

Oh happy days tintin back to the 70s and binoculars in hand checking out Thornaby depot for the tractors and the choppers on the freight duties. Seeing the odd 47s knocking about and them horrible units the 101. But I have to hold my hands up and say that I have never mastered driving them on the tsw 2, 3, 4 and 5 I can't get the hang of driving them. Which I would love to learn.

I love the 101. It was the train I travelled on all the time with my Grandad.

There’s a great user made scenario on this route and you also need certain liveries, you drive the pacer from saltburn and you pass a 101 in the BR laboratories livery and a HST in BR blue and a few other interesting locos

Love this route simply for its ratio of freight services to passenger, I’m a massive fan of freight so to be able to do mostly freight is really enjoyable for me, makes me really look forward to seeing how much freight is on the wcml over shap if the ai traffic on Blackpool branches is anything to go off, not to mention mid route services and at Carlisle

Remember back in the day. Where grumpy drivers would pull the blinds down,so you could not watch them drive. 😊 Do like driving the class 101 , great one to master.

Used to travel on these 101’s as a nipper back in the 70’s and 80’s between Saltburn and Redcar, on occasion to Middlesbrough and Darlington, and it was always fascinating as to me when going past the works at British steel Redcar and Dorman long at south bank, ahhh nostalgia!
