It's not like he is in a high risk category, considering the amount of rallies he has held or will hold in the next five weeks.
He stays well away from everyone, he said so himself. He’s not concerned about spreading disease, he doesn’t go near the crowds. The “disgusting people”. But, someone on his team may get too close to someone who then gets too close to him...we can only hope.

Almost half of the people killed by COVID in the US were nursing home residents. He will never be in a nursing home.
To him, they were "nobodies."
It affected a close friend of mine so much that she died from COVID-19 last night, after fighting it off for most of a month. She wasn't elderly, either. She was in her early 30s, a cancer survivor who also had other medical issues that put her at risk. My rage at hearing the Liar-in-Chief casually blowing off the deaths of 200,000, the suffering of many more -- both the infected and those who cared for them -- knows no bounds.

We already have over 200,000 deaths from covid19 during the past 6 months. And, the covid19 virus is creating residual health issues like inflamation of the heart, scarring of the lungs, and deterioration of the brain for example. They are just discovering recurrence issues in addition to ongoing heath issues some people are experiencing. Flu does not have these types of residual health issues. Plus, we have a vaccine to help with flu and are still waiting on a viable, safe vaccine for covid19. Thank goodness for the doctors, nurses, and scientists who are working hard to gather the scientific data and determine correct treatments and a vaccine for covid19. We are lucky to have them.

He also said young people don't get the virus (not true, of course) so we need to open up the schools. Yikes! Yeah, one kid is asymptomatic and sneezes and the whole class gets sick, the teacher gets sick and gives to other teachers and her family, the other kids bring it home to their families, grandma gets sick and dies, the baby gets sick and well, Trump is too stupid to realize that he's too stupid to understand what is going on and how things work. My husband works for one of the largest school districts in this country and it's a nightmare trying to make sure all the students are getting the things they need to complete their education. Plus, the schools are really going to suffer from budget shortfalls, especially in California where we've been hit hard in the budget for education. I don't know how much more schools can lose and still get done what they need to do.

It's difficult for high school students, especially juniors and seniors, because they are applying to colleges and need their grades and other things to apply. There are also taking college entrance exams and they need to be prepared for that. It would be a huge loss if students had to delay college for one year. We are just not prepared for this. I do think this will cause some major changes in the way we educate students and I do not think that is a bad thing. We have needed education reform for quite a long time. But getting students the equipment they need (computers) and making sure they have an on-line connection is challenging in many places.

I doubt this is quite what she was envisioning when she married him. Probably she thought, "Well he's not great and really full of himself, but he's rich and I'll have a nice life." Now she's stuck with this, and I'm betting there's an unpleasant pre-nup situation that she doesn't want to fall afoul of. Not saying that she's an innocent victim, exactly, but I think it's a fair bet that she had no idea what exactly she was signing up for.
Yeah, it absolutely affects nobody, until it affects one of your own. One of my friend's parents were infected in May. They're no longer COVID positive. But there have been very serious consequences. Her dad, who was already partially paralyzed from a stroke he had had a few years ago, is now completely paralyzed. He needs 24/7 care. Her mom has had a psychotic break for reasons the doctors cannot explain. That sweet soft spoken lady now tries to hit anyone who comes near her, breaks anything she can get her hands on, tries to walk out of the house at all hours; etc. I can see my friend reaching her breaking point. I'm afraid she'll soon have a breakdown from all the stress! So, yeah, it virtually affects no one. Until it affects YOU!

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. My a couple of my folks' friends were a married couple who were both nurses. They were at retirement age, but continued working help coronavirus patients knowing the danger of the coronavirus. They both contracted the virus. The husband survived, but the wife died. The media has stop telling you that nurses and doctors are getting covid-19 left and right and nurses are 3 to 4 times more likely to get coronavirus than doctors, because they're around the coronavirus patients more. So seeing and hearing covid-19 deniers and face mask deniers makes me sick. Vote right or our country may fall even more.

My mom and me are disabled and she was briefly in an assisted living facility.
At least half of COVID deaths in this country have been in nursing homes and other residential facilities for elderly and disabled people.
My mom is still friends with some of the residents via phone and social media, and through lockdowns they have been prisoners as the staff fail to follow safety and sanitation guidelines and keep passing COVID to the residents.
Healthcare workers and elderly and disabled people, especially low-income elderly and disabled people in facilities with poor quality care, have been sacrificed to the virus in this country.
My mom and I are still in strict isolation. I wish we had lived in New Zealand where they took the virus seriously and completely locked down. I am fine with sacrificing personal freedom for public health because that's the only way to keep high-risk people alive.
And for anyone who doubts what the situation is like for nursing home / residential facility residents, please look at the hashtag OurHomesNotNursingHomes on social media.

The only reason you are feeling the deaths now is because it has been covered by the media. This would happen on a yearly basis. And your population is a lot bigger than most countries that is why your figure is bigger than most countries. I'm 32 and caught covid in March. It caused severe lung damage. My good friend, 34, who was sick in the same wave had to get emergency heart surgery from covid overworking her heart to over 200bpm consistently. We're not being represented, just swept under the rug. Like we don't exist, our lives don't count, and our wellbeing is not worth anything - even a mention.

Ironic considering his obesity and age alone places him at high risk. And the symptoms of neurodegeneration don't help his health either. Not being political here and calling him demented, I mean, as someone in the medical field, I can tell you if a patient came in shuffling gait, signs of unilateral muscle weakness, tremor, fluctuating coherence of speech and slurring that he exhibits (and this is only what he slips in public) we would be highly concerned for brain pathology. Overall, he is a prime target for fatal respiratory issues as a result of the inflammation/coagulation covid causes. But he (or whoever has a brain around him) isn't stupid. He gets tested constantly and so does anyone around him. He expects the people he is in charge of protecting to take this virus lightly. He, on the other hand, is well aware. This alone should raise red flags in any supporters mind. Why does he tell us to take it easy but then follow every guideline to the dot in private? Why keep lying? Why keep encouraging his people to act in ways he himself avoids, and ignore a virus he himself fears? Its pure and simple. He wants Americans to be blind and follow blindly. Regardless what that costs in lives. After all, the dead won't follow. Why bother about some corpses when the surviving population treats you like God and believes every word from your mouth? This fact alone makes him an objectively terrible and selfish leader of this country. I hope anyone on the fence or still in support sees this and at least thinks about it for a minute.
