When I first started streaming it was on Twitch, and it was exactly as you said about not creating content on other platforms first to then bring that community over to your livestream. I've had far more success on Kick than Twitch. I actually stopped streaming for about 2 months and about 3 weeks prior to streaming again I worked on my stream and networked and put in the work and went from averaging 1-2 viewers on Twitch to 15+ on Kick. Simple you want to grow you have to work for it.
I'll be honest some of this advice never made sense to me. If you're going to use platforms like youtube and tiktok and so forth. Why not just go live on those platforms. Why bring viewers from one platform to another? You could also multistream with multiple platforms at a time. I just have troubles seeing viewers from youtube going to twitch. They're on youtube for a reason right? It'd be like going to Walmart and trying to get shoppers to leave and go to Target...
The benefit to live streaming platforms is the streaming experience and sense of community. Their features are optimized for streaming Whereas UA-cam, TikTok, etc are built for video
Speaking from my experience I have built a great following on a few pages but I wouldn’t want to risk that for live streaming. Honestly anything can happen during a stream and youtube can be CRAZY with copyright or other things.. example berleezy (2million subscriber youtuber, on the platform for a decade ) got his channel deleted in one night from a video ( accident ) although it wasn’t a live stream it was a game that he could have played on live and it’s not worth message up your community.. somebody could argue to go and make a new channel and go live and that’s a good argument
With the encoding. The bit rate etc the potential to make content over there is great. Once the clip feature and apps and buggy systems are smoother over I think it’ll be the move.
what are the growth numbers on kick? I keep hearing "kick is growing", but I haven't found any numbers. Maybe I am searching incorrectly, becaus I can't find a good answer
I had previously downloaded twitch and stream to games within the same day and got 3 viewers but it just didn't feel the the right platform for me, and now here i am trying to do it on Kick but yes you are 100% right I just can't start stream and expect to blow up / start making money i should put in the work e.g If persons like myself dislike streamers not talking and just playing game, it won't feel engaging at all, so working on talking about the game or sharing and experience on how you started on kick in terms of tips it would make more ppl come, well that's what i think.
my best advice is to pretend you're in a VC with your friends. Literally just talk. Doesn't matter what it's about, just go. Eventually you can branch off of each topic and have a serious conversation with yourself like a psychopath lmao

What I hope Kick will fix in the future is the view botting. I see streamers betwen 80-110 viewers with no chat activity and I am sorry to say it, but alot of them have a low quality stream aswell. Very few of them have good quality content and that is good for them since they have good content and gets the blessing of viewbot to get higher up on the list when you browse through games and streamers which is unfair for others.
any program yall suggest to use for recording clips on my gameplay? tried using Geforce nvadia clip recording but the quailty isnt it and posting to tiktok makes it zoomed out a lot. I play on pc and use Kick to stream but i wanna post more on tiktok with funny clips from gameplay or the stream
In certain categories maybe. Single player games have no audience. At all. Skyrim. Fallout 4. Fallout 76. All games that hold hundreds of viewers on Twitch. ZERO viewers on Kick. I've streamed. My friends have streamed. Watched other bang their heads against the wall. There are NO viewers. Partnered Twitch streamers can't pull 3 viewers and absolutely no one chats ever at all. Kick is a viewer desert outside of IRL and a few competitive multiplayer games.

i make reels tiktoks and shorts havent seen any growth on twitch and been streaming for 8 years. i feel like if u really wanna get into this space guys make sure u also do long form content i feel its exposure is the best. When i get more free time i plan too start doing the same just thought id let people know that short term content doesnt help stream growth atleast for me it hasnt yet. As for kick iv gotten more interaction and views my first day streaming then i have the past 3 years on twitch. So do what u will with that info.

honestly none of this matters if the algorithm for all the social media platforms wasnt so garbage. youtube is almost impossible to get anything to happen on any video (thats after follow videos on how to be successful on here) tik tok is bad bad cause its filled with billions of videos a day and over saturated. (I've also tried the tips for success over on tik tok still nothing, proabaly cause im ugly and ugly people dont get views on there and this is a known FACT no debate idc) and so what do you really have huh?? instagram is DEAD. what other platforms should I go through? not trying to be hateful but clearly it isnt as simple as just "bRiNg oVeR pEoPlE" lmao
Hey idk if this helps, but I have a bigger following on tiktok, and the key is seemingly posting daily, every single day, using the same hashtags and keeping your content organized. It helps trying to be funny and relatable as well, I’d say if your content right now isn’t taking off, try a different approach, different editing and stuff? Then when you get more and more people, you can start promoting your kick channel !

i like to use streamlabs, ofc if you find a program that costs a lot of money its prob going to be way better but for me streamlabs is pretty good
