You are a GENIUS!!! I also love the way you don't not withhold info and knowledge. Your videos have changed by engineering and creating life! Thank you thank you thank you, please continue sharing, we are watching and learning from one of the BEST!
I like the fine details you share and how you teach/show us your latest projects. I can't wait to see you bring this one to life.🌩️👍🏻
I never thought of TPU for cosplay stuff. That's awesome, you could probably also use a heat gun to soften it and conform it to a body part really well!
This seems to be exactly what I was looking for !
I wanted to make some safe sword & shield and that seems to be what I need.
I saw some flexible PLA somewhere on YT and had forgotton about it until I saw this video, I have to try and find it and order some.
I cant wait to see the finished costume!
Just 5 minutes of Willow cosplays goodness. No bs ... Straight to the point. 😌
Also. Your eyes are just to black voids in this video.
I have really reall dark eyes yes 😅
Thanks for the information.
Seriously dude your are SMART!!! You are an innovator and have inspired me to start dipping into prop and consume making (Although definitely not this awesome yet, I’m trying!)
Amazing work, it’s awesome how you share tips and details as it gives a new perspective on how to do things
That's absolutely amazing! 😮 I'm going to have to invest on these filaments!
So incredibly talented and informative. Please always keep creating content! Just saw your Ilidan costume from WOW AND YES WOW!
That's so cool!
I'm going to have to give this stuff a try (once I finish my direct drive conversion...). Also, those polishing wheels really do work great for smoothing things out.
Goddamn you’re so talented!
really cool 😍
Cant wait for the finished work
This was very helpful
Awesome!! Also i love the mclaren shirt😂
Good informative video
Amazing filament, thanks for sharing the experience!
Any tips for the printer configuration for this filament?
Regular TPU preset, 60% to 70% flow, then print a test and see what you wish to adjust :) I try to keep retraction off and minimal cooling to get the best adhesion and less chance for extrusion failures (albeit with stringing)
Usually I manage it at to print at 30mm/s not more. I can push wall speed at 20-25mm/s on my QIDI tech i-fast (direct drive).
@@Comvousdites yup i also print at 30mms which seems to work well!
Great use-case for the varioshore filament! What kind of bit are you using with the dremel? It seems to be a bristle/brush type but it looks nothing like anything in my arsenal.
I love this filament, my only problem is shipping fees for Canada. I wish I could find a retailer here.
That's an amazing material.
What printer did you use for the TPU filament?
Im not going to share the printer name because i do not think its a good printer choice and do not recommend it 👍 but it was my only direct drive that wasnt busy printing something
This is really useful info, thanks!
Would you consider filming the steps of painting the gold piece(s)? I've got a tarnished gold project coming up and no idea how to handle it
yup!
@@WillowCreative Awesome! Looking forward to it
I love your tallent i watched your some videos that's great it's your hard work...and i wanna know in which country do you live becaus of your tallent
Thanks for this, I’ve ordered some of the colorfabb as the 95shore TPU I’d used for some bits was still just too hard. Took the edge off sharp pointy bits, but was nowhere near foam like. What temperature did you print at for that softness?
225c i believe, you need to lower the flowrate and follow the recommended settings 👍 also ofc if you print with more walls and higher infill it will not be soft
@@WillowCreative thanks!! I’ve ordered a few rolls, I’ll have a play. Wondering if I should use the Bambu or the Delta.
Thanks a lot. I had been curious about UreCoat, but Smooth-on's own description of it made it maddeningly unclear whether it even could be painted. Nice to know that painting it is an option. How has the paint held up over the past several months? Still good?
you'd need some adhesion promoter or other medium used to paint urethanes as paint can flake off with enough pressure.
@@WillowCreative Thanks. What adhesion promoter did you use when painting over the UreCoat?
Is the flexible one waterproof?
yes
Did you need to coat it?
The paint or where/when do you mean exactly. I dont usually coat the paint unless i need a gloss finish
Ah yeah, the paint. Like a clear coat. Because specifically looking for a matte finish. 😊
