2024 Tacoma sales was down but you guys donated 10k more for 4th gen and production cost reduction, Toyota might have earned more money than 3rd gen sales back in 2023.
The 3rd gen sold like hot cakes in Canada. Lots don’t really get a ton of stock for the 4th gen so sale numbers are low. Now Chev/GM have better incentives for the mid size market and arguably a better truck. Toyota has such a nasty interest rate it turns average consumers off.
my guess is that they have to go back to charging a more realistic price which means that they will have to sell more to achieve the profits they want. Toyota had switched to making less vehicles creating an artificial shortage so that they could charge more. now they have just about run out of idiots willing to pay huge markups they have to return to normal manufacturing numbers. that supply chain excuse has run its course.
