LONG LIVE WEED
San marino 🐐
Much love from San Marino 🇸🇲
Jk lmao but still… I’ll smash like 👍
Si
They may be the worst national team in the world, but most of their team have real jobs and aren't even professional. They travel around Europe meeting world class footballers, you have to respect it.
Yeah that is true. Even if they dont get the results they hoped for, they still play against world class teams like Germany and England.
Yes San Marino is small country with small population, so it does not have big chance to make very good football team, but imagine someone born with the talent of Messi or Ronaldo in San Marino and then start playing for his national team. San Marino would not be anymore as big laughing stock football team, when no longer worst national team in football.

San Marino is just unfortunate to be located in the toughest football region in the world. If you have them face Oceania, South Asian or Caribbean teams, they’ll probably get enough points to climb the FIFA rankings
it would be good if they were considered italians and could play for italys national team
not really, for 2 reasons, first reason pride for playing for san marino, 2 san Marino would be good enough to play for Italy team.

5:15 as an england fan I find it funny that England had to win that game by 7 goals. So despite winning a game 7-1 the fact that San Marino scored 1 meant the team was seen as an embarrassment at the time.
Not that it would've meant anything if they didn't concede that one goal since the Dutch won their game
Leave it to the English to be a disappointment, when no one believes in them.
so they won by 6 goals then
Also,San Marino scored their goal FIRST, AND IN 8 SECONDS
SO FOR A TIME SAN MARINO WAS *WINNING*
You can love your national team as much as you want but deep down when it plays against San Marino, you want them to score

Bonini is the pure definition of loyalty, massive respect to him to reject Italy for San Marino.
I would like my native national team to give a win to them.
And my native national team is horrible in results but people want it to be fallen apart as we didn't got a competitive win in more than 2 years and only a friendly win this year's summer in San Marino's style (in that friendly match my native national team was quite unprofessional and without fair play though and even helped by the referee who was from the neighbour country to them)

Loved that Latvia was included in this video a little bit as well. Another brilliant essay Maqwell and thank you again for your hard work to make this essay. You deserve 1M subscribers and I hope that one day you can reach it.
In England people think the international break is boring because most of the time watching England isn't that exciting. There feels like there's no jeopardy in qualification so people don't really care. I think lots of people would only care if England were in trouble of not qualifying. Therefore, personally I enjoy watching other countries like Scotland and Ireland more than England because there's way more jeopardy.

Some of those island nations that lose to Australia with 20-0 or whatever are probably even worse.

For Canada, I really enjoyed my time when we beat 11-0 against Cayman Islands for example not just because we got a new win record, but because I really enjoy learning about the “minnow” Caribbean island nations/dependencies.
What ultimately made me fall in love with football is my love to learn about the world. It’s a perfect marriage & you displayed that perfectly!

They almost drew against Denmark LMAOO
I can understand the feeling as I'm an Egyptian and the feeling for the Egyptian team. After 2010, the golden generation slowly retired and began having new players like Mo Salah, El-Neny, Hegazi, El- Shenawy, Tarek Hamad, and many more. It was a hard time before 2017 as we didn't qualify to CAF cup of nations, lost 6-1 agg to Ghana in the qualifiers to World Cup 2014, and adding with corruption the country have since 2014.
2017 came and everything looked way better as we didn't just qualify to the CAF cup for the first time in 7 years, but reached the finals and lost to Cameron in one of the hardest moments in our history.
At the same time, 2018 qualifiers was there and we went to Russia after Salah's famous penalty that made the country celebrate for a while.
2018 came and that time where Salah was on fire and destroying records and people got sick from the defensive play we had and the way of relaying Salah which led to him being the second best goal scorer and the best in terms of currently playing. Then, World Cup came and it wasn't very good as we became the 31st and nobody loved that.
2019 and new CAF tournament on the way and it got hosted in Egypt. Yeah, that crap went to shit after getting out in R16 from South Africa.
Then nothing was good for a while as we qualified to the next CAF cup with the worst performance ever and went to the second round of the World Cup qualifying in much better performance and new manager as Carlos Querioz came and he's building a new generation while relaying on the best players like Salah and more.
Now, they played the Arab Cup and lost to Qatar in 3RD position match in penalty which is burning right now.
Let's hope we win the CAF cup this time.
Of course, a salah penalty. Pen merchant himself

The speech about, how the game captures the heart and the emotions you get playing and watching the game is funny, considering that I actually am not a fan of football nor do I know basically anything at all about it. Yet i'm still here watching this video about this team that I love which has never won a game in a tournament and it makes me want to learn about football, lmao. It's such a captivating story to see them "succeed" and be so proud of it when they score 1-7.
Atleast san marino have been scoring recently, against Denmark, Kazakhstan and Finland and they were pretty good results.
Everytime I see a country whether big or small lose by a large margin or just continuous losses i feel so sad for them. The anguish, sadness, and despair they must feel even though they are still supporting their beautiful team through thick and thin. I want them to feel the joy i feel when my team wins, when my team scores, when we win competitively. I just want to share my joy with them because it is such a beautiful feeling
This is a harsh training in humility and self motivation

The way they celebrated their goals is so wholesome that I want them to win so badly. PLEASE LET THEM WIN! 🥺
As a proud Englishman I felt pretty embarrassed about beating San Marino 10-0 in the WC qualifiers. I wish them the best, but I'm right behind the idea of having a pre-qualifying tournament because no team can call a massive win competitive
I say if san marino want to play normal qualifiers then let them if they want to play pre qualifying rounds let them we shouldn't be the ones to make the decision for them
Update: Their record is now 1-7-184 with 27 goals for and 797 goals against

Some of the sentence in it is actually thought provoking
The translation of the song:
Who can stage fright, loser in love
Apathetic and self-abandoned will not be forgiven
Despite the difficulties, I still managed to be strong
Blood on the brow becomes a medal
Obviously difficult to guarantee
Infatuated participants will win if they lose enough
but i want
I'm leaning on crutches for that emptiness
still dying
I am a person who is afraid of losing and still plays brave
Going forward is scary, but going backwards is even more embarrassing
The group who often do cannon fodder is probably still attractive
Tomorrow or when I turn over
Victory will come one day, it doesn't matter if you lose wildly
Please remember that someone chased so close
The stubborn stone has never become gold, but I still wish to leave footprints on the field
To guide the waste wood in the future
Repeat the process, tenacious old genes
Will not mutate to reverse fate and fate
However, I believe in the sincerity of people
Can melt the thickest ice
I am a person who is afraid of losing and still plays brave
Going forward is scary, but going backwards is even more embarrassing
The group who often do cannon fodder is probably still attractive
Tomorrow or when I turn over
Victory will come one day, it doesn't matter if you lose wildly
Please remember that someone chased so close
The stubborn stone has never become gold, but I still wish to leave footprints on the field
In the future, guide the waste wood woo
Even if this noble ideal is unstable
It's lucky to die from the cold
Rather be seen as foolish and brave
In the end, the person who is afraid of losing continues to fight
To tell the world that I still have that anger
People will definitely win every day, they will never be attracted by theorems
Stay strong to hit your heart
To be a better person and work hard every day
Love does not come, life is not dark
In fact, surviving in desperation is the life of a long life

As a little boy I remember seeing the match report saying that Liechtenstein lost to Macedonia 11-1. Score was quite unique in itself, only 1s and double digit. They have their special place. And I always cheer for them.
One game you think you've missed was San Marino against Poland in some quallifying game. Poland was not able to score a goal for like 60 mins. Then San Marino had a penalty. Sadly for them Fabianski saved. Poland won 2-0 but damn, that was close.
I've been to San Marino watching Scotland win there. It was a great trip, the country is beautiful and the people are very kind. If you are one of those people thinking these countries shouldn't play football, go there one day and speak to locals. The Sammarinese people I spoke to are passionate and love their country at least as much as people from big countries do, if not more. The fact that their country is tiny, doesn't mean they don't have the right to support them and dream to play for their country. That was a trip with great experiences.

Many professional athletes in my country go thru the same formal academic higher education as most others so that they can have a day job after retiring from sports e.g. accountants, nutritionists, architects (probably so that they're able to remain financially independent) but it also makes them so busy that their risk of burnout increases, & quite a number of them thus end up retiring from sports prematurely after like just 1 or 2 Olympics
I'm of the firm belief that San Marino would absolutely stomp any OFC team (aside from New Zealand obviously and maybe Tahiti) and teams like Guam and Sri Lanka or any small island nation if they played them. It's just tough in the division they play in where a team as bad as them have almost no chance of winning anything.
Not any other OFC team, but they would obviously crush the likes of Samoa, which loses 0-7 to New Caledonia and 0-8 to Papua New Guinea, lol.
This reminds me wen I usted to play with my school friends in a football league and even if we lost most of the game we always had fun.
Actually SM is way better if they compete in another confederation like OFC or the worst team in AFC, CAF and CONCACAF (ex: Laos, New Caledonia, Madagascar or British Virgin Islands)
The reason that the SMNT at the bottom of the FIFA Ranking is they have to face to the giant of world football like Germany, Italy, England,...
Another reason is the population of that country is too low to finding good players for their NT
If they compete against Laos or Cambodia, it would be a win for San Marino NT
New Caledonia is actually pretty good, but there are dozens of other teams that they could beat. They'd possibly be somewhere around 170-180 in the world on merit (instead of that current P210 in the FIFA rankings).
they’d probably beat puerto rico
Who would they beat in other places
Comenbol-nobody
Concacaf-Anguilla,Turks n Caicos,Bahamas,Bonaire,cayman islands,both virgin islands,monteserrat,both saint martins,saint bartholomy and maybe Puerto Rico,Grenada,Aruba and Dominica

Afc-Brunei,Singapore,Afghanistan,Guam,Hong Kong,Northern mariana islands,Macau,Nepal,Pakistan,Maldives,Bahrein and maybe Myanmar,Laos,Cambodia
OFC-American Samoa,Cook islands,New Calendonia,Samoa,Tonga and Maybe Fiji and Vanuatu

i like this kind of content, i find it quite interesting, keep it that way and congratulations!
I just found your channel a week ago through the San Marino CM video, been binging your channel since. Great timing and a great video 👏
Appreciate it bro!
now i have a soft spot for the san marino's national team
As one of the biggest fan of San Marino in the world i am proud of seeing videos like this.
The problem is that now we made history by scoring in 3 matches in a row.
Thanks for doing that

Ever since I was a kid I always cheered for underdogs. I grew up watching teams go up against the odds and do the impossible and so San Marino always had a special place in my heart. It's something my uncle who's a huge football fan enjoyed about me growing up because I always went with the underdogs and he joined me in cheering for San Marino whenever we could. We planned to visit San Marino together eventually and for my 18th birthday he got me a San Marino jersey from Italy. 3 years ago he passed away, but I still will visit San Marino for the both of us like we said we would.
Great content mate - respect to any internal football team especially for the minows
San Marino will win euro 2024 and world cup 2026! Can't change my mind 😤😤😤
alright lets see
Heart warming and well made video. Keep up the good work.
Hello bro we have the same profile
"Goalkeeper, and team bus driver".....funnier words have never been spoken
that second draw got me hard back then, watching the cry and everyone how happy they were, reminded me of that egipt game where salah scored the penalty and the comentator just cried like a baby, these are the moments that matter, sure i love my brazil and we winning stuff, but i honestly lost that thing where i just root for my team and fuck the rest, nah, i like football, i like the game, i will root for my team when they play but also respecting the other teams and enjoying the beauty of the game
btw egypt has a great history in the african football by its clubs and national team we are the best in africa maybe we have bad luck in qualifying to world cup
@@teacoffee42 i mean, context matters, in america, brazil is known to be far and better then everyone, historically speaking ofc, i think that gap is long gone, both argentina and uruguay have competitive teams, even colombia, mexico, and USA and CANADA, you can see them improving, to us, if we dont win it all its shamefull, becuase we have been the best for so long, we had so many incredible generations, now we fight to even qualify to quarters in the world cup, the europeans got so much better over the years and we are just standing there, frozen in time.
also, being a coach for the brazil national team is hell, they get alot of hate, neymar aswell, the guy get alot of hate from us, people still dont realize that after neymar stop playing, we are fucked, we dont have more players of that calliber, the last one was kaká. ronaldinho, ronaldo, they gone, the JOGA BONITO style brasil had is done, that cycle is over, and we just aint finding a new one anytime soon, vinicius jr is giving me hope tho, ngl
@@goticogordo "The moment Neymar Jr. stops playing, we're fucked"

Naturalization of players should end. National teams are turning into clubs. Unless the father of the player has been born and raised in that country, you can't play there. The player obviously should have done so too
@@teacoffee42 what country?
@@father0f4ll most likely Brazil
African national teams would be beasts.
Yo my guy, you are amazing, keep it up!
Dude. Your growth is super duper fast. whoaaaaaaaaa congrats
