@@wellchuffedrailways thats good news look forward to seeing it run sometime
13:34 If you spend some time on a serious paintjob some of these can be used as foreground figures. They are mostly bootleg Preiser copies. For that the guy is telling at 13:51, the same is true for HO where you get figures without legs designed for vehicles (Preiser set 10387 and 10391) The cheaper Chinese ones on sale here are a lot easier on the total budget if you need to get rid of the legs. The same goes for buses.
18:54 I guess these were using some close couplers (based on the relative movement). Having retracted and extended gangway connections adds a lot to the overall look of the train (or you avoid it and go for the modern coaches with the rubber rings)
As always thanks for your words of wisdom Ivo. Many thanks Rick
what a great show, you two do a great job, fun to hang out with. thanks
Thanks very much Tom
When Goin To a Train show here’s a Few Things to remember you go to a Show And you get there you don’t think of anything But trains And Go till Closing that’s How My Wife And I do.
Same here and we are usually Lete. 😂😂
Those "coaches" are Inspection saloons. They could drive the loco from the cab, as the coach itself was not powered. They were used for looking for track faults. Great video guys. I love to see the brass and plastic parts traders. As it's so difficult to view those types of things on websites. You often get the wrong size or wrong thing. But when you see them on a stand or in a shop you know precisely what you want and get.
Hi Graham, thanks for the info. I did read up on them after the show, they must be newly released models as all of a sudden they are everywhere! The traders with all the bits and bobs are very useful and always worth keeping an eye for spares should you ever need them. All the best Rick
Dam I missed this exhibition
What You don’t get at One Train Show You can Get it at The Other one.
Exactly! 😀
Train Shows Will Cause Train Tardedness And Train Toxication and Will Make You Druel Nothing Wrong With Anything of that it’s All Good to Be A Model Railroader 👍.
Super video once more from you 2. What type of buffers are you looking for, might be able to print some for you. Frank
Hi Frank, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. Regarding the buffers, just the standard rail built ones. All the best Rick
@@wellchuffedrailways I will look through and print and send some samples off to you, if you give me an address to send to, could be a P.O. box if you prefer. Frank
Ok Frank, if you have Facebook you can contact me through the Well Chuffed Railways group. Many thanks Rick
Thanks for your videos I really enjoy them. Do you ever have to ask permission to film layout’s or trade stands?
At first we did but a lot of the layout operators know of us now. Most traders have seen us around and are always happy to chat and have a laugh with us. At the end of the day it's free publicity, a lot of the traders get have people contacting them having seen the videos. Not all of them have details for us to put on screen but it's good publicity for the toy fairs and people will sometimes attend events having seen the videos. One thing I will say is it's always best to wait until the customers are done and try not to get in the way. It was trickier when we started out but I guess we are part of the furniture now! Hope that helps Rick
Yeah that makes sense. I’ve done some videos myself and I’m never quite sure if it’s ok although do I ask when possible.
Hey its me mark you met me and my family at Stafford toy fair when thr next video please
Hi Mark, it will be Sunday morning. I will put the footage Pauline filmed of you on at the end. Nice to meet you all and please give our regards to your family. All the best Rick
