    You need to lift it or you could run spacers to put the wheels out a little further and it wouldn't rub

    • @NewRoad

      Agree, those are 2 options to eliminate the problem. I just haven't decided what I want to do.

      Even with the spacers it will still rub on the fender you are right tho he needs spacers and need to lift the front it have to be lifted 7 inches from the tire thread meaning the space from the fender to the thread have to be 7 inches but he will also have to buy the ReadyLift 2.25 inch Front Forged Torsion Keys for the Canyon, Colorado and install it that’s what I did with mine

    I would not do a lift. To run 35s you need a 4 inch lift and you will not gain any ground clearance at all. You will only make your H3 unstable due to the higher body and frame height. I run 38-39s on my H2 with no lift.
    You could install some adjustable steering stops, similar to what H1s have...then it will never rub.
    And yes you can change the sway bar...I am working on a new design for my H2 that will also work for your H3...just need sometime to finish the design and test it out!

    You need to add spacers and lift the front with new ready lift torsion key that’s what I did with mine I also installed MAXX Shackle Shackle Kit for the H3 to lift the rear and new extended shocks I’ve installed all those before I bought the rims and the tires now my hummer is about 10 ft higher the lift and spacers costed me like $350

    I used to the Rough Country leveling kit I'm not sure about that spacer some little concern you know I think it's the only way to fix it I'm not off roading my H3 I'm going to do some more upgrades

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  7 років тому +2

      I know it is late - but I'm gonna say it anyway... You don't need Rough Country leveling kit at all. All you had to do was to crank the torsion bar as shown in my following video: ua-cam.com/video/OJXq58NzJyE/v-deo.html
      I bet your leveling kit did not solve the rubbing problem.

    I recently bought a 06 H3 with 285/75R16 K02s installed and I'm having the same "rubbing" when doing a hard turn during parking. Like yours, my truck's sway bars also have that part where it's already shiny due to frequent rubbing. Do you think switching to 265s will solve the problem?

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  3 роки тому

      It should solve the problem - but it is not a big deal... you never gonna turn that sharp on high speed. I have my truck for 10 years and it is just a bit annoying - but not problems

    My friend how are you fix the problem I have the same problem with my H3

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  7 років тому +4

      Unfortunately I didn't fix it yet - and had to go back to 33 inch tires. You can crank the torsion bar to reduce the rubbing - but you can crank it only so much without putting an additional pressure on CV half shaft.
      There are 2 ways to fix it :
      1. install lift kit
      2. wheel spacers.
      I don't like and don't recommend wheel spacer if you are off-roading at all.
      BTW, many owners who have 35 inch tires are driving with this. I was driving on 35's for 6 years and just ignored it ... it is not a big issue - just annoying when off-roading and need to do sharp turns.

      At this point, all I can say is - I don't like it. I'm running 35" for 6 years now - and it was always annoying me. For now - I'm thinking to go back to 33" since my 35" getting old and it is time to sell them. When I have more time and $ - I might try lift it.

    • @RebelBama
      @RebelBama 7 років тому

      PolarBear00777 ... you can't move sway bar. Only way to move it drop bracket but it will not solve unless you lift the suspension. The kit have everything to install, in some models have drop brackets for sway bar. In my Chevy Suburban, I had 6" lifted suspension and the sway bar is turnover and mounted stock location and stock links. Never had any problem since.

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  5 років тому

      Hey there, I came back to OEM rims because they fit perfectly and I don't need to use hub centric rings. Also, I downsized from 35's Mickey Thompson MTZ to 33's (285/75r16) Wrangler MT/R with kevlar. I was annoyed with rubbing as shown in this video, and don't think that 35's have big advantage in off-roading over 33's anyway. 33's are perfect size for people who use H3 as a daily drive and take it off-road from time to time.

      Also if you are in Canada, Spacers in a lot of places are actually illegal to use, mechanics find them on your vehicle and they will deem it not road worthy because of all the accidents associated with improper installation of the spacers to begin with.
      I'd honestly suggest going with a new rim possibly. I've got Maverick's from Ultra Motorsports on mine and it stands the wheels off by about an 3/4" to 1" I was looking at running 35's on mine for the next time I get new tires. See what happens. Link to a picture of the rims, as well as my truck currently.

      www.ultrawheel.com/wheel/30/234-235-maverick/?finish=1875 Has all the tire specs for the rims I have there. I bought mine from Travale Tirecraft in Beamsville ( www.ttstire.com/contact_beamsville.php ) . For all five it was around 1200 bucks installed. Worth it, imo. These aren't chrome over aluminum, so no galvanization issues to deal with. Only -real- issue that I have with them is that the lugs -are- tight to get a socket into, but apart from that? They look great (imo) and function just fine.
