315/75/16’s rubbed on mine. Went down to 295/75/16, no problems. My alignment was perfect, didn’t want to mess with it. Also, the 5 cylinder struggled to turn 35’s. Couldn’t use cruise control on highway because the transmission was constantly down shifting. Bigger isn’t always better.

I've had no issues with mine rubbing or struggling with the 5 cylinders. How ever in deep 1 & half feet of snow uphill it did have some struggle but no worries if you put the transmission into 3rd. I'm surprised you use cruise control on a hummer.

@@GoodsDell7 I got stuck one time on my property by the pond. The ground was really wet and soggy and I kept sinking in closer to the pond. But that time I had Goodyear wrangler tires on and I will never go back to those tires. I had to end up calling a heavy duty tow truck to winch me out from 200feet away on solid ground. It was definitely not a good time.

I just bought a 2008 hummer and it already had that size wheels on it. It's an H3X if that makes a difference. I thought they came from the factory with the bigger wheels on them, I didnt know they came with the smaller wheels. But whoever had the hummer before me took good care of it, doesnt really look like it was used off road alot. I've only had to replace the thermostat which I've heard is very common for the hummer. Nice rides, mine has the inline 5 3.7 and its pretty powerful, I dont see why anyone would want the alpha unless they were doing alot of crazy off roading or pulling very heavy loads because to me the 3.7 is plenty powerful.

The 35 inch tires make a huge difference in how the Hummer Looks & feels. I say if you drive more city go with a 285/75R1616 because it will put less wear & tear on the suspension and transmission. Plus you will get better mileage driving to work as well as less road noise coming from the tires. But every tire brand is different when it comes to road noise & fuel economy. When I put my 315/75R16 on my hummer the front Hub bolts broke while driving & my mechanic recommended putting smaller tires on because the GM Hubs are not the best quality. If you do plan on putting big tires on make sure your front end is well taken care of.

A little Snow or mud build-up and you get thousands of dollars damage. ALSO Insurance won’t pay for any accidents. Take them off, correct the post or you may responsible for a lot of damage and possibly accidents.

Total nonsense. No problems after hundreds of miles off road and many thousands on the highways. Just jack the torsion bars 1.75", extend the shocks a bit and align steering.

I've been thinking about it. But I will definitely upgrade the front suspension parts before I do so.

@@_FERG Nice, H2s are a beast. I love the fact they come with 35's stock. I can imagine your probably driving around like a military captain lol. I went with the h3 because it's my gas saver being 5 cylinder and its narrower body being able to fit between trees on the trails. I hope your enjoying your H2. Take care & drive safe.
