Midway with their gouging in general made my list of non-preferred places. On the positive side, Midsouth hasn't gouged and as a result has been out of stock at times but is a great small business.
For anyone near Blue Ridge, GA there is a small shop, Blue Ridge Pawn, that carries a decent selection of match 22lr ammo. Brian has also always been very fair on firearm prices, ffl transfers, etc. Great people to do business with!
I love this content. Make more like this. Not only do you shoot in videos, but we need more people like you who actually care about how we are treated in this community. Thank you!
Thank you so much Josh for posting this site. I just ordered and finally found some Lapua long range. I have a custom-made Vudoo and I don’t do any matches. I live in an island in southeast Alaska. I just wanted to great shooting 22 rifle for my retirement gift, it shot good with SK standard and after a year I finally found some Lapua long range. My first 10 shots were in one hole half the size of a dime so I am convinced this Gun loves Lapua.!!!!! Problem is I can’t FIND IT!!! Until today 😊
My local Walmart the guy working in there was catching .22, 9mm, 5.56 and 12g Buck coming in buy using his wife to buy it up and reselling it on Armslist unfortunatly for him he was meeting face to face only...wait for it...at the Walmart he worked at. Someone took his pic and got him fired.
Blue Collar is like a “Toys Are Us” to a shooter! Good prices on both ammo and products. Good business and great people. Also I would recommend Champions Choice they never inflate on ammo and good to deal with.
Must depend on area. In my area Bass pro was and is cheaper than most other local retailers. All of the smaller gun shops, except for the one I frequent the most, were really screwing people over on firearm and ammo prices. One that comes to mind is my local Armory franchise.
It wasn't just rimfire, it was all ammo and reloading supplies, primers especially. I definitely avoid buying from them now. Mountain City Supply was perhaps the worst I came across. FedArm is also one I remember that took backorders at a lower price, then raised prices and canceled all existing lower price orders.
Killough 's has been top notch for me. Had a glitch a few months ago; shot them an email; they got back to me the same day and made it right! Good customer service!
I have amalgamated a lot 22lR ammo over the years and at the time I wasn’t knowledgeable with precision shooting . That has since changed with all the information you and many others have passed on with these videos ! I purchased a CZ 457 American with a 24” barrel for mainly hunting small game ! I was setting it up and before I made a trip to the range I want to pick the rimfire ammo that seems to shoot the best out of this rifle ! Everything for this CZ 457 22lr is out of stock with a projected March 2025 delivery !
I fully agree CC was way overpriced because of hi shipping costs. $25+per brick of 500! The one in Texas, Killough I buy ELEY only from. They are great and now do orders over the phone. Shipping is very fair too! I will try this NC outfit because I do want to try affordable SK. Good Shooting has been great as well when they have any, I really appreciate you telling us/me about them! Thanks, great news from you as always!
Hey I just got my cz457 Jard 3-6oz trigger thanks to your recent video. It's awesome!!! It's so light!!!. I shoot Federal auto match and Aguila super extra. They shoot almost identical groups at 50yrd as Eley match in my 455. And I can hit golf balls 3 out of 5 shots at 200yrd lol and it's cheap!!!.
I have been using ammo seek to locate good prices and have had good success with locating target ammo at good prices with no shipping fees at all or no shipping fees if you buy in quantity. will have to search blue collar reloading to see what they have available when I run out of Eley next time.
Wanted to keep it a secret, but for SK, my go-to has been Unknown Munitions. Sell in 500 round boxes. Little higher than elsewhere, but they’ve been reasonable and have had stock when no one else had
Josh Midway tried to take my virginity and didn’t even offer me a kiss. They were Charging as much as 3-5 dollars a box more than a lot of other dealers. And then they felt so bad over the cost they limited you on the amount of boxes you could buy. Lol as bad as I wanted sk long range I never ordered it. And I ended up ordering from whidden gun works and they were 3.00 a box cheaper and the customer service was spot on, very kind and helpful people. But like you was saying there are some dealers who appreciate the business and are not trying to send there kids to college from one ammunition sale.
I have done an in depth study of rimfire ammunition with conversations with Eley and RWS. When it comes to match ammunition all the producers start their run with their top brand ammo. It is then graded by various tests and only the batches that pass that test go into their premium boxes. The ammunition that falls below that grading goes into different boxes. In the case of Eley , it is graded again and end ends up as Match or Team depending on its results. RWS starts off as R50 then graded twice where it ends up as Special Match or Rifle match. The reason for this is that they can not financially throw away ammunition that falls below their top grade and it can not be recycled. This is why Eley only batch test Tenex because it is pointless testing Match or Team which has already fallen below their premium grade results. My advice is buy the next grade down from the premium grade because it wont be far from that grade before it ended up in a different box at a cheaper price.
@@flyerh agreed. More so what will really get you thinking is it's tested in their test barrels. What's to say your barrel and chamber don't absolutely love a lot of match that didn't meet accuracy standards to make tenex in their test barrels. I always test match and team with some pretty great resulta
Great video! And I love the idea of benefiting those who were the exception with the price gouging with a likely increase of business from your followers. Hopefully they will manage to keep stock on hand and rip the benefits of your recommendations!
Creedmore has been good for me with SK rifle match and Ammofast has been good at about 10% higher. Seems that they get monthly shipments that last in stock for a day or two, so when they send you the availability of being in stock, drop everything and order immediately.
They're still over charging for my .224 ammo. My 69 grain varmint knockers were $23.99 a box before covid. At a high they were $43.99 a box. Looks like they're still $34.99 a box. A lot of the online bulk places had normal prices during the pandemic but mostly saw big box stores like Sportsmans warehouse jacking prices.
Love all the info on the cool high end stuff. Love to see more on budget minded setups for those of us on a limited income. I just got a Talo exclusive 10/22 light varmint with stainless threaded barrel. I chose it for its I hope accurate barrel out of the box to save on overall expense. Cost was not much more than a standard model. I would have preferred a bolt gun but I know from past builds the 10/22 can be very accurate. Also would love to see some match shooting in the Charleston, SC area but seems there is nobody doing that here. I cannot travel so I would need something local.
Lots of places have taken people to the cleaners. Brownells is prime example look @ the height of COVID/Geo Floyd what they were ripping people off for PMC Bronze 223 per k with 10 P Mag Gen 2 upwards of 899. The thing about SK and Lapua rimfire ammo is all comes from the same Capstone Precision the distribution arm of Nammo. and vendors pay the same price. Small orders vendors pay freight charges. 22 LR is heavy!
I’m not a competitive shooter but I did notice that nearly all the online bulk ammunition dealers really gouged prices. I could buy it cheaper at my local Academy store than online. Of course their stock wasn’t the best. But like I said, I’m not a competitive shooter. Just recreational. But ammo prices have made me decide to quit shooting centerfire altogether. I was shooting 6.5 Creedmoor and 224 Valkyrie. I have outfitted my old 1980 10/22 with some moderately priced and have started shooting rimfire. When I get through selling my centerfire stuff I may build a little nicer rimfire. Thanks for the videos and for this ammo information!
We have all suffered due to increase shipping cost. I try to take advantage of free shipping offers. I have been very pleased with Creedmore in Alabama Thank you and take care.
Damn you Josh blue collar is my favorite spot!! Just got a couple bricks in the mail from them today actually.. now there gonna be out stock all the time!! 😆 it’s with good intentions I get it lol
Blue Collar is local to me as well. That's been a hidden gem in the early years of his supplies business. It's a fine, American company to do business with!
Bad local shops Larry’s Pistol and Pawn in North Alabama jacked up prices during the pandemic. Wilborne outdoors also jacked up prices. Good shops Van’s Sporting Goods in Cullman, AL was a great business. And tried to keep prices as low as possible.
Josh , do more videos like , has very good information . Eley test Center I did call twice but the tunnel is close , no ammo test for now , They don’t have a date .
ATR and Gunrunner in Fairmont WV gouged during the.22 scare and are still gouging today. Sportsman’s Warehouse was the only one in this area that kept their prices at market value. (When they had it of course)
Good video. Glad you gave up your honey hole. Anschutz NA sells lot testing bricks and if I remember correctly will do lot testing also. Champions choice never raised prices. Nor did full circle in st. Charles Missouri.
Rural King has some of the best priced on guns. I'm not aware of them gouging on ammo prices. Academy didn’t seem to gouge on ammo either but you were limited on how much you could purchase.
As far as I know the kilo shooting test center in Winters, Texas has been closed and you cannot do any more lot testing. I do not know if they plan on re-opening another test center somewhere else but as of now you cannot get Eli tested and Texas. I live about 30 minutes from there test center and know some of the guys that work there and it is closed. They have moved their office to south Texas.
This one pissed me off, I am in StL and used Midway a ton since I could have the product next day… an watching them gouge while building new buildings was rough.
Reminds me of how much California is a PIA sometimes. I have to pay shipping AND a transfer fee for a store to sell it to me. On the other hand, we don't have winter and there are more shooting ranges here than anywhere else I've ever lived (PA, VA, AZ, CO, FL and Puerto Rico).
Absolutely some places price gouged. But there were also a lot of places that didn’t have inventory that had to buy at high prices so they could continue supplying to their customers.
The “Links here” is not working. Did you say the shops were, Anschutz North America Killough Shooting Sports Good Shooting Inc Creedmoor Sports and Blue Collar Reloading? Just trying to make sure.
Hey Josh - not sure if it has changed since then, but as recent as a month ago I called and checked with Killough, and they no longer do lot testing. It is closed indefinitely and they do not know when it will reopen. Really sucks, hope it comes back.
KSS just moved their entire operation from Winters to Brownsville Texas a couple months and hired all new personnel. Ammo is readily available and shipping, but they didn’t take the test tunnel with them.
Very unpopular opinion but I don’t have a problem with the “price gougers”. It’s all about supply and demand. I’d rather product be on the self at a “ridiculous price” than not be on the shelf at all.
Just noticed you’re from NC! I recently got into shoot long 22lr (because 6mm ammo has sky rocketed) as a trainer. Where is the blue collar reloading located?
CheaperThanDirt was selling a stick of 100 round CCI SV for $50 during that shortage.
They were one of the worst gougers out there. I will never buy anything from them?
CheaperThanDirt have been total scumbags for years. They charged ridiculous amounts 30-rd AR mags during the mag-ban craze a few years ago.
I’m with you, they are the worst. Will not do business with them and they are local. Sorry business practices.
Cannot understand why ANYONE is still buying from Cheaper Than Dirt.
Everytime I visit their website nothing is ever cheaper than dirt.
Midway with their gouging in general made my list of non-preferred places. On the positive side, Midsouth hasn't gouged and as a result has been out of stock at times but is a great small business.
I noticed that too and thats the way it is larry potterfield why do people buy at high prices?
Midsouth is top tier!
You can tell Midway is a greedy company. I check their ammo prices now and then…..and I will never buy from them.
Thank you for this video . This is one thing we as a gun community can come together and share information and promote companies that are far.
Powder Valley was where I shopped during covid. They didn't gouge powder when it came in stock and their rimfire ammo prices are always good
For anyone near Blue Ridge, GA there is a small shop, Blue Ridge Pawn, that carries a decent selection of match 22lr ammo. Brian has also always been very fair on firearm prices, ffl transfers, etc. Great people to do business with!
I love this content. Make more like this. Not only do you shoot in videos, but we need more people like you who actually care about how we are treated in this community. Thank you!
I agree body 👍🏻
Received my order from Blue Collar reloading today. Fair price good service. Thanks for the information. Keep up the good work.
Sportsman guide is pretty good on prices and sizes you can't always find specialty ammo but if you need standard rounds they are pretty awesome
Thank you so much Josh for posting this site. I just ordered and finally found some Lapua long range. I have a custom-made Vudoo and I don’t do any matches. I live in an island in southeast Alaska. Freelands in OH is always very competitive with Eley pricing !

SK flat nose match ammo is about 11-13 dollars a box in Canada lol
Great video Josh .... I have been buying from the one's you turned us onto for many years now ..... Thanks again for all your help.
Thanks Josh. I haven’t been able to buy any standard plus in quite awhile, at a reasonable price. Blue collar had some. Thanks again

Nicework Josh...I believe good service deserves good things! Wish they were in NZ...we can get very little good ammo like you people! Great video!
That’s wild, your “honey hole” is also my go to for any match rinfire ammo. They’re great people and a amazing shop
Creedmore has been good for me with SK rifle match and Ammofast has been good at about 10% higher. Seems that they get monthly shipments that last in stock for a day or two, so when they send you the availability of being in stock, drop everything and order immediately.
Please do a video on why US companies don't make high end ammo like the big three Eley, Lapua, and RWS.
Best u-tube yet. Thanks!!!
Deepest thanks for all you do for the 22LR world! Respect!
Thanks brother

We have all suffered due to increase shipping cost. I try to take advantage of free shipping offers. I have been very pleased with Creedmore in Alabama Thank you and take care.
Thanks Josh, just ordered 250 rounds of Eley Match. I will definitely do business with them again!!
In all the years I've been buying .22, Champion's Choice has NEVER gouged. Usually the lowest price overall.
Damn you Josh blue collar is my favorite spot!! Just got a couple bricks in the mail from them today actually.. now there gonna be out stock all the time!! 😆 it’s with good intentions I get it lol
I literally live right around the corner from blue collar. Great group of guys there.
Purchased a CZ 457 last week. Found some 22lr ammo at Bullet Central.
Blue Collar is local to me as well. That's been a hidden gem in the early years of his supplies business. It's a fine, American company to do business with!
If you are in the Minnesota, Wisconsin Dakota area, DST Precision and Nedved precision ate great resource
Blue Collar Reloading 💯 great customer service too
Bad local shops
Larry’s Pistol and Pawn in North Alabama jacked up prices during the pandemic.
Dang i thought they got that straightened out by now. Thanks for the info
ATR and Gunrunner in Fairmont WV gouged during the.22 scare and are still gouging today. Sportsman’s Warehouse was the only one in this area that kept their prices at market value. (When they had it of course)
Doesn't happen often so your sharing is much appreciated.
Precision Reloading in Mitchel,SD regularly out of stock because they kept prices way down
blue collar for the win. I love those guys. I bought a decent amount of standard plus from them and my send it level.
For your German viewers: Sportschützen Weiß had reasonable ammo prices during Covid. Local gunshop in southern Germany. Great guys there.
My CZ 457 MTR just loves SK ammo. But at the moment it is almost imposible to get, and I live where it's made.
may want to try TAC22. Shoots almost as good as SK Rifle Match in my CZ
Tac 22 is almost impossible to get where I live.@@GummeeH3
I just received my order from Midway today, but after what I've read, it will be my last purchase from them. Thank you all for the information.
As far as I know the kilo shooting test center in Winters, Texas has been closed and you cannot do any more lot testing. I knew the tester left a little while back....had no idea they moved as well. Thats crazy. Thanks for the info
will be checking them all out! THANKS FOR THE TIPS!
Midway USA, rimfire was nearly double priced.
They are still higher than most others
This one pissed me off, I am in StL and used Midway a ton since I could have the product next day… an watching them gouge while building new buildings was rough.
I just went and looked, sk pistol is 7.20 at good shooting and 9.99 at midway. Making 2.80/box of 50. That’s still a 39% mark up. @@sgtlt
I would wait until palmetto State armory would have their labor day sale to buy ammo cheaply.
Thank you so much for thinking of little guys, Now maybe I can get some quality ammunition.
Target Sports USA was gouging on SK Long range a few years ago. 200 dollars a brick.
I tried to order some the other day. 42.00 shipping. No thanks
Yeah CA is unique
Yeah I have been ordering from your suggestions and only from them great idea and I have been doing just that
Beagleman
Great video I really enjoy watching your videos
Absolutely some places price gouged. But there were also a lot of places that didn’t have inventory that had to buy at high prices so they could continue supplying to their customers.
Good point
I went to Lapua test center and they tested my Anschutz. The center in OH. Good experience. I highly recommend it.
I went to the OH center as well back when Luke was the tester. Had a great experience, glad your trip went well
I saw a brick (500rds) of CCi SV for $180.00! 😮 During the shortage few years ago. And a bucket 🪣 of 1400rds for $465.00!
Blue collar reloading does ship fast! Bought 4K of Lapua 6BR on Monday shipped on Tuesday morning.
I live near Charlotte and I didn't even know about Blue Collar...I do now!
Glad someone is telling it like it was and is still being practiced by some.
I would like to see more American company's produce this type of ammo. Blue Collar is an excellent company.
I am very much the same I always support the little local
Hey a bucket of Remington gold bullets (1,400 rounds went from $60 to $150+) now it’s back to around $90
Good video, here in Australia getting ripped big time. Hungry bastards
The “Links here” is not working.
Did you say the shops were,
Anschutz North America
Killough Shooting Sports
Good Shooting Inc
Creedmoor Sports and
Blue Collar Reloading?
Just trying to make sure.
Yeah those are some of them
Hey Josh - not sure if it has changed since then, but as recent as a month ago I called and checked with Killough, and they no longer do lot testing. It is closed indefinitely and they do not know when it will reopen.
Really sucks, hope it comes back.
Yeah the test center guy left, i forgot about that, and had really hoped it had been filled by now. Sucks
Kss was my go to but now lol. With the info on this video makes for more options thx
KSS just moved their entire operation from Winters to Brownsville Texas a couple months and hired all new personnel. Ammo is readily available and shipping, but they didn’t take the test tunnel with them.
awesome vid man
The link for the links doesn't work. :)
Anyone know a good place for Speer Lawman 124 gr TMJ?
Maybe the only answer is to share a membership?
Local place to me ships and has a good ammo selection. Outdoor limited
Ty for telling all. Thats the rt thing to do. Ty
Creedmore in Anniston, AL has good prices.
Been to blue collar quite a few times. Told a few people about them. How dare you let that secret out. 😅 That is the hand loaders Mecca in the area.
Our group here in Texas has been buying from Blue Collar for sometime.
Very unpopular opinion but I don’t have a problem with the “price gougers”. It’s all about supply and demand. I’d rather product be on the self at a “ridiculous price” than not be on the shelf at all.
I understand that opinion for sure.
Serious shooters know the great main few to buy from.
had good luck with Elevated Gunworks
Best place for Westcoast peeps
Just picked up a case of 5.56 for just over 500 bucks with shipping from Canoe Club out of Nevada. Check em out solid company 👍
I’m about 30 min away from Blue Collar. Going there today.
Thank you Josh, love your content
Really well done Josh.
Walmart employees were buying ALL the 22 ammo that they got for the stores and selling it on the internet for as high as $2.00 a round
Just noticed you’re from NC! I recently got into shoot long 22lr (because 6mm ammo has sky rocketed) as a trainer.
Where is the blue collar reloading located?
Its in salsbury
Wow what gun are you using in the video?
Have any of you guys found a place to buy sk red box by lot number?
You just hit a home run with this video brother.
thanks for sharing your info with us poor people sir
Lol
I just checked powder valley and blue collar and their prices aren't much different than others.??
The super inflated prices were during covid, most places have come back down to typical prices
@@PursuitofAccuracy
It is still too high especially the primers. Low quality 12 ga shells at $10 a box is ridiculous.
