The greatest opening credits to a TV show ever. Grand, sweeping, sophisticated, and full of class. I was a teenager hopelessly in love with Diana Rigg when this show first aired. What memories!

Absolutely agree! There has been nothing like the joining of John Steed and Emma Peel. This was what made The Avengers an awesome show. From every "Mrs. Peel - We're Needed" to Laurie Johnson's incredible Theme music, this show was in a class all by itself.

My heart is also broken.....😢 I love Diana Rigg as Emma Peel....she was beautiful and a great actress!!! ❤ I saw her in 1984 for the first time in 'The Avengers' on tv, I was 13 at the time and I watched every episode and I always loved the way she acted...she was stunning!!! 🥂 💪

I loved the irreverent unorthodox style of this Series. The Fantasy. No two films were the same or predictable. I just watched almost ALL of the Series here before the UA-cam closed them all. How sad we cant look at them anymore. Goodby Diana (with tears)

One of the smartest, coolest TV shows ever! Beautifully written with dashes of humor and eccentricity. The chemistry between Steed and Emma Peel was terrific. I remember watching this in the 60s when it ran on American TV and enjoying every minute of the British production, so sophisticated. Light years ahead of American TV at the time.If you are too young to remember the show, go find some full episodes, especially from the 1966-1967 season. You are in for a treat.

She stated; of all the characters she portrayed, Emma Peel was most like herself. She said week after week of playing the character, she played it most like herself. While she wasn't as militant as Emma with all the fighting, it was most like her...and that's what she felt the fans turned on for. I remember her being asked that question on an old David Frost interview. This was in the 1970s, so many other characters followed....

Not only the outfits, but the way she played her character that made her sexy, very self assured, very tough, but very playful and fun with a sense of humor that made her very alluring!

Diana Rigg - what an awesome lady. I loved her Emma Peel, where she was young and beautyful. And i was blown away having seen her as bad, old witch in Dr.Who! What a fantastic performance. The young and the old Diana Rigg - amazing!

She was everybody's. She projected and shared herself in so many different roles, but this role represented the mere tip of her accomplishments. She was a stellar performer on the Shakespearean stage and won countless awards and accolades. An ancient Greek play she was in sold out on Broadway. She remains active on Game Of Thrones which will be ending. We'll see her in other endeavors.

Best show ever...I watched, as a kid, and always, and to this day, thought Diana Rigg was the Most Beautiful woman, ever!!!..look at her now, on Game Of Thrones, as Queen of Thorns...Age takes all of us, but she still looks good, tho of course not as Foxy as Emma...

Happy memories of Sunday night TV when I was 8 or 9 in the mid-60s. I was a bit young to appreciate all of Mrs Peels’ charms, but she was still a favourite character. RIP Diana Rigg. :(

Simply brilliant series not much compares nowadays. For me the innuendo is key to a great show to let the listener and or watcher have some licence on possible relationships and out comes and the surrealisms. Yeah that what works for me.Unfortunately nowadays audiences have to be spoon fed the basics with little or no creativity. These shows were great.

I grew up watching this TV show because my Dad like it (and he and i didn't agree on much back in the 1960s), but this is classic music and TV and now I am a Media consultant, this music came to me in my sleep!
