On no! After 30 years out of the hobby, I recently bought myself an Arrma Senton but having watched this video with my daughter, we have fallen in love with those big rigs! It might be an expensive summer now!🤣 I would love to go back to building one, like I did with my Tamiya Manta Ray back in the 80’s. I’ve been watching your videos for a while and have loved watching your progress of building these. Thank you for taking the time to make and share your adventures in the RC hobby. 👍🏻
Thanks for the comment, the semi Trucks are great fun, I'm sure you and your daughter would have a blast battling out with each other, loading, unloading, reversing etc etc.. Thanks again and have fun 😊
That was useful! 😊 I'm planning on towing me Grandbabies with my Smokey and the Bandit Rig... They weigh 15 and 18kg respectively. But I'll be doing it on level ground.
I know what I want to do with Rusty now, going to slowly build him up specifically for weight pulling, I currently have my eye on the rc4wd pull sled 😊 also I'm glad you found it useful as to me it was just a pointless challenge for a bit of entertainment for me and you guys, I'm sure on level ground with a few tweaks here and there like firm up the rear suspension and a little led weight up the front and you'll be hauling the grandkids around comfortably and om sure they will love it 😊😊👍👍
running brand new trucks uphill with 17.5 - 20kg, but got close to 100 kg of weights plus trucks, and expecting an old car to do it?!! lol, hope the car is alright though. 🙂
I had no expectation of of 30+kg but I had a lot of weight due to different increments to gradually build up weight from 1kg 1.5 2, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and some I had a few of each but in the end just using a few of them, as for the car it's an overfinch and has absolutely no issue with an extra 60kg of weight considering the car full of passengers and a trailer with a car in would equate to 2 tonne it most definitely had no issues carrying a few weights and a couple of toys 😂😂 However leaving the doors open on the car with the ignition and radio on while using other appliances for a few hours took its toll on the battery, the way I was parked I couldn't be jump started so my dad's friend kindly pulled me to the top of his drive where I could get a bump start 😉👌
Also the trucks aren't brand new, it's built from leftovers, I build them to enjoy them and have fun, I'm here for a good time not a long time.. They're just metal and plastic at the end of the day 👍
After this I'm going to build rusty specifically for the job and the tri drive was more to see if it could handle the weight of a hydraulic Excavator uphill as I'd like one one day, it just needs more weight over the front of the triaxle and an adjustable 5th wheel to spread the weight more over the axles... So rusty is going to be getting a new planetary reduction box and a Brushless combo for crawlers and work from there, I'd like rusty to be able to pull 40kg uphill at least 😊 it'd be great if you built one and we could get a few others involved and do some weight pull comps and sled pulls 😉
Most definitely, I'm going to focus more on the King Hauler for pulling and possibly get a globe to build to pull as well as they're more compact 😊 glad you enjoyed it, after all its only a bit of fun 👍
I have a Aeromax and a TGA both set up as loggers with off highway tyres on the back both can pull the pair of trailers with a dolly up hill no bother using Poison truck motors. Both trailers are well loaded with Hazel wood.. Dropped a gearbox servo down Gaydon this year but that's part n parcel.. But they do have some pulling power for a small scale...
They are quite surprising really when you have them fully loaded, I've been tempted to put my brushless axe system in out of my crawlers as the torque is unbelievable.. the main thing is.. as long as your having fun doing it 🙂
U no what u should done is put the rear wheels off rusty on the 2 frunt axles leave last with started tyres they did quite well n I no what that hills like it murder bro on flat there do better bro 👍👍👍
I'm going to weight the front of the tri drive add an adjustable 5th wheel to put the neck of trailer over the front 2 axles and some heavy duty tires, at least I know if I ever get a heavy loader or Excavator I can haul it up hills through the woods to play and rusty I'm going to build specifically for weight pulling and sled pulls 😊😊
Of course, just depends how much you want to spend, I have a hobbywing axe system to try next.. Those cost around 180.. The motor in it cost 10 so you get what you pay for 👍
I plan on smaller pinion next then upgrading the gearbox to a reduction and running a Brushless 😊 I'll do it gradually one mod at a time, but for a standard setup I thought it was pretty impressive 👌
We probably will and yes that hill is a killer, the camera really didn't do it justice as you know its a steep hill for the trucks to pull that weight, they'd have done it no issues on smooth level ground 👍👍
I pull 100kg up hill in third no problem I have a Hercules hobby semi with a 3d printed trailer so I don't get why u are blowing motors I have a 55turn motor and a 7.4 volt lipo
So Rusty can't pull a Rangerover full of extra weights up hill .... he needs a talking too !.
Wants throwing through the shredder and starting again.. Its disappointing that it can't tow almost 3 tonne 😂

My cascadia did 12 bricks through our yard😂 then the motor did a smoke show.
🤣🤣 no real harm done lol.. at least your having fun with it 👌

This is so badass!
I've been considering one of these for years and you've pushed me over the edge lol.
They're a load of fun, consider no more and bite the bullet 😊👍
very intressting, what a little truck can pull and then uphill !! , keep it up👍
Thanks, I appreciate it.. I was pretty amazed, I'll aim for 30kg next time 👍👌

Thanks just trying stuff out to be a little different to get some ideas 👍
I've been thinking of building one of those trailers they use for tractor pulling

Tri-drive needs some better tyres and a weight block on the front end. Nice seeing the test.

Mine has to pull 45 kg I modified the driveline for this task
What's the locations of those woods would you let me know pal because I wouldn't mind going trailing up there
The woods 👌

@@scotty555babe it will have to b a ridged no suspension on it n all u need is a chain so when wheels turn it pulls the weight up or can just by 1 bro
So is there a upgrade for a more powerful motor ?

You should increase gear ratio in order to pull bigger weights.
