Ahh I still love this classic movie. Brings back alot of childhood memories. I remember being 11 years old watching this on Hbo any chance i got. Takes me back when life was just life being so happy. Im 31 now and still love it and watch to this day. They dont make them like this anymore.

God it makes me SO angery that I cant enjoy this movie cause of the behind the scense, (even on screen) pet abuse. (If u love this movie like i did, then do not look up what happened ok? I did, and i can never see it the same).
Dogs and cats knock over or step on their puppies/kittens all the time, it's normal roughness. I saw a video recently of a cat drop a kitten straight off a roof.
Wow the fox's magnificent singing voice brings tears to my eyes... If only these fabulous creatures could be used for human benefit, instead of just keeping the muskrat population low.

In the movie it may be that they're talking to each other but I feel like in real life Milo was scared of the fox. Just hear the way Milo is barking when he was around the fox. It could have really attracted him behind cameras.
It is till this day that's the craziest seen throughout the entire movie that song it's hilarious because it matches him as if he's dancing and singing throughout the water like as if he actually is taking a shower me and my mom died laughing every time we see it and every time it's the same thing we both cry laughing literally

I sure did love this Movie as a kid I also loved it up until about a year ago when I noticed some disturbing comments on a website about how many cats and dogs died during the making of this movie... That's right guys the happy ending where they all end up together is not so happy. So obviously like a lot of people I was sceptical at the allegations and decided to do a bit of my own research. 1989 Columbia pictures release Milo and Otis. Milo and Otis was originally released 3 years earlier as the original Japanese film Koneko Monogatari: "The Adventures of Chatran." The Adventures of Chatran was an art film targeting an adult audience. It showed the trials and tribulations of a Kittens life. (Note that Columbia had changed scenes and added a few family friendly scenes like the farm and chickens. They were also able to choose from less graphic scenes and cuts taken from the original Chatran.) Early on there was concern about the welfare of the animals first on board was Japan’s biggest animal-rights group, stating that at least 27 of the milos used did not survive and that's not even getting into the Otis side of things. By the time Columbia had released the film there was evermore growing concern buuut money was being made and animal welfare comes out second best. So despite Milo and Otis being portrayed as a joyful kids movie, the actual facts and content of Milo and Otis is deeply disturbing and shows animals in obvious pain and distress, and in some scenes in the midst of horrifying deaths. Unfortunately this film was well marketed to be happy and animal/child friendly. They turned such torture and cruelty into a kids movie!! So like many of you unaware as I was this movie had a nostalgic feeling about it from when I was a child and some great childhood memories come to mind. If I could have been more aware of this before I ever purchased the movie again as an adult I would have NEVER supported it. I love Milo And Otis I never wished for them to die and die and die and die all over again. R.I.P.
