- After months of work and language study, here is my first-ever album of lullabies from around the world! I believe a song carries a story of the culture it originates from, and it was so wonderful and inspiring to listen to the stories these lullabies told in their native tongues. I hope you enjoy my interpretations of them. ❤

2. Baby's Boat - 03:07
3. Hushabye, My Bear Cubs (Aijā Žūžū Lāča Bērni) - 05:47
4. Edo Lullaby (江戸子守唄) - 07:57
5. Tu Tu Teshcote - 09:40
6. Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral - 11:49

The Irish Lullaby (Too-Rah-Loo-Ral) Brought tears to my eyes, my Grandma used to sing it to me when I was tiny
That’s amazing! I honestly wish I had a more interesting heritage. I find all the Norwegian or Celtic or Viking music and culture all of that very interesting. Though I really am about as all-American as cheese 😐
Since I've found this, I've felt so.. safe. My birth mother passed away.. but she would sing some of these to me when I was little.. I'll admit, I fall asleep to your voice.. It's the voice of a goddess.. And it gives me such security.. Thank you.
The more I get older the more I love to listen to lullabies. I feel and smell the purity of innocence. Wish I could go back in time and bring with me that innocence now and till I breathe my last portion of mother earth's air. Thanks Ash!
How beautiful!
Your voice has a supremely enchanting quality. I don't know what it is about your voice in particular that's so angelic and soft yet you manage to convey such strength through your vocals. Please never stop singing, the world would lose a brilliant jewel.
Your voice is a jewel beautiful and natural.
I really love that the songs are in their native tongues, it really adds to the magic of it all ❤ i would love to read a translation somewhere as well, so i know what the songs are about. Do you know where i can find the translations?
Yes, absolutely!

As for the Nahuatl song, Tu Tu Teshcote, I couldn't find a translation anywhere. But it had such a pleasant and sweet melody, I just sat down and recorded my own take one afternoon, trusting the message was good too. :)
Each time you upload a new song, you make my life a little fairer.
The first lullaby is so beautiful, I can't get over it. 😢❤
This is so beautiful, I don’t know why but I started to cry half way through the first song. Honestly I’m crying as I’m typing this. you have the voice of an Angel. Thank you for singing these for us.
Bless you Serena, your wonderful singing makes me feel all safe and finally letting myself be vulnerable, thank you♡♡♡♡
Isn’t it ironic how songs that say ‘don’t you cry’ always make me want to cry...
A song that would sound lovely in your voice is Okaasan no Uta from the movie Wolf Children! The style of the song is right up your alley!
Oh goodness, I love that film to bits and that song just breaks my heart and patches it all back up in the same moment! Thank you for this lovely suggestion. ♥️
Edo lullaby is my favourite lullaby!! You sang all of these so beautifully, I'm in love with your voice 😗
Oh my goodness this is amazingly beautiful. The Lakota lullaby was superb.
Ahh, thank you! That was the one I struggled with and worked hardest on. Listening to native Lakota speakers sing it was so magical and perfect, I wanted to do them justice in my own version.
Wow! Your voice is very clear. What a songs, you deserve so much more views and credits!
Oh my god! your voice is amazing !! touched my heart
Just listened to your album today, amazing talent! and a fantastic use of various languages featured in each different song written. The album is a little unusual, but still amazing songs!
I am also most inspired by your songs for writing some future video games of my own that might be feature your songs one day in a few years time. Keep doing whatever you are doing, amazing talent.
What a lovely voice. I’m dedicating the voice of a bard in my book to your voice.
Again Angels are singing. Great job.
This makes me so very happy, and I am sure that I will sing these to my children if/when I have them, but for now this helps me get through my English homework, and I am grateful for that.
Edit: Do you have the lyrics for 'To-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral' because it's very pretty and I can't quite make out the lyrics, Thanks in advance.
Edit 2: why does this have dislikes?
How did I not know who you are? OMG... your voice is amazing! :) Too bad that I had not discovered you when I would rock my babies to sleep. (I might just use this to rock me to sleep).
Beautiful!
You've got a beautiful voice! Also, kudos on compiling this. Must've taken a lot of work understanding each language, the culture it comes from and then recreating these lullabies. Looking forward to more from you. :)
I'm addicted to this now-

Yes, it is! 🇳🇴

Amazing!! Can you please write down the lyrics to the lakota lulleby?
Cante waste hoksila, ake istima. Hanhepi kin waste. It's just that repeated. "Good-hearted boy, go to sleep. The night is good."
I love this one, I can actually shrink it and just enjoy while doing my business without YT being a total jerk. Silly child proofing that is broken from the root
Nyanyi amazing Grace ,please!!!!

Yeah and translation. If I am gonna sing this to myself I would like to know what I am saying...
There's translations in a different comment thread on this.
@@mossripalextechno6450 theres a thread with lonks to lyrics
As a Lakota native, I feel somewhat uncomfortable by the lullaby. Your pronunciation is terrible, for starters, and secondly... you monetized my people's work. Did you ask? Did you get permission? Our work is stolen from us extremely often. Please don't do so unless given permission.
I apologize deeply. My intent with making this album was to help spread awareness and love of historic songs rooted deeply in many worldwide cultures, but I now see how incredibly shortsighted that was in terms of the Lakota Nation. I've contacted my publisher to see what can be done about rectifying primary ownership and monetization on "Lakota Lullaby" and will do all I can to make this right. Thank you for voicing your concerns.
Honestly, if you just contacted the tribe about our music and culture they would probably be *very* open to helping you, likely going so far as to help with pronunciation. We don't mind people showing off our work - the general consensus is to just ask first.
I should have thought to do that from the beginning and am very sorry I didn’t. I will absolutely do that moving forward. Thank you.
@@tayanasummers can u just be a bit nicer tho? Yes ur a native but ur still a human and equal to all of us. We understand ur difficult history but that is not an excuse for being rude to people, why did u use the word “horrible”? Also as she said she was only trying spread the beauty of the lullaby, so technically she was paying homage to ur culture
