Ohh it's so interesting to hear about your Japanese learning expierience! I started reading manga in French about two years ago and it was pretty tough at the beginning (but I did learn it at school for 8 years, so I did not start at zero). But it sure gets easier with time, I hope that you will also come to this point :) The first thing I read in French was Fullmetal Alchemist and honestly I do not understnad how this fantasy manga was easier to read than Sket Dance, a slice-of-life series about students (but the first volumes broke me a lttle bit). So my learning was that comedy and students' slang is not the best to understand in a foreign language. I'm watching the video with a tea and snack right next to me, so when the sakuraco ad came, I was feeling very much prepared😂
I recommend 12歳! It’s 20 volumes, a cute story about love between 12 year olds (it gets cheesy and funny reading it again as an adult lol) but since it comes with furigana, i think you can learn a lot of kanji that are also a little bit geared towards teens-adults because even though the story revolves around 12 year olds, they tackle adolescence and growing up, so they do use a lot of kanji’s that are a little bit mature more often as compared to stories like doraemon ❤ good luck on your japanese learning journey! Also, i really look forward to your vlogs 💕💕💕
Im learning Japanese too and bought Silver Spoon in Japanese as well...way too hard for my beginner heart 😂 i really hope to get to a level where i can read comfortably at some point 🎉 Here is to us fulfilling our language learning dreams !!!!! Great video as always btw ;D
Shounen Note is so cute! I still need to find the rest of the volumes as they're scarce around me. I can't believe it's ending so soon, I gotta catch up! I've started learning Japanese ready for my trip next year, but not able to confidently read a Japanese manga, hopefully soon tho. And summer volumes I'm looking forward to are vol 20 of TBHK and vol 23 of JJK, but both come out in September so I'll be waiting a long time
Shonen Note is amazing :') That's awesome that you're going to Japan next year, I hope you have an awesome time! Nice summer picks, I'm sure they'll be worth the wait!

usually the best way to learning a new language is by reading comics/manga 😅
Oh what dictionary/app do you use to look up Japanese words?
I use 'Shirabe Jisho' on my ipad it's free! :)
