Some Enchanted Evening - South Pacific. BBC Proms 2010 - Rodgers and Hammerstein. Singers: Rod Gilfry & Anna Jane Casey. The John Wilson Orchestra. Royal Albert Hall - London.
Whoa, solid performance Every time I hear this song I remember performing it back in school with corn starch in my hair to make me look more mature… It moves me still
I'm trying to understand why it's transposed down a step in this performance from the original key that was written for Pinza, who was a lower voice. This is a nice performance but sounds too much on the low side for a baritone like Gilfry and a little muddy.
What a wonderful performance. The singing. The phrasing. The emotional ride. It was
memorable. Thank you all for putting this on.

Really enchanting! 😊
AMAZING
Exceptional
Not often we hear a barritone/base in music
Very stiff and boring interpretation, Rod Gilfry should listen to Ezio Pinza sing this so he can understand how to perform it
perhaps visually, but the emotion is 100% there in his voice
