PART 2 IS HERE!! ua-cam.com/video/xPcc8kySfO0/v-deo.html
Spoiler alert , guy who is writting it all on typewriter is God , yes ACTUAL GOD , the all mighty , alpha and omega
SCOOBYNATURAL!!!!
"Do you believe in Fairies?" or "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie"
Yellow Fever is by far one of my favorite episodes ever.
If you wanna watch a very meta episode, the french mistake is a doozy
One does not simply watch a random episode of Supernatural.
One did 😮
my bad
Yes very true lol 😆 😄
Lol
Right! 👍🥰
I’m sorry hearing “it’s very weird to see Jensen on a role that’s not soldier boy” lowkey hurt my heart a little bit. 😂
I saw the title and I said "this isn't gonna go well"
i don't think it did lol
Exactly why I clicked 😂
Me too
Your premonition was very accurate!
Yep. Doesn’t really work with shows that have a plot. This would work better with a sitcom.
"who is this guy? why is he writing their story?" oh sweet summer child🤣🤣
he came so close on that one 🤣
😮💨
Starting on 5x22 is an insane choice
my bad
He pretty much choose the episode that wraps up 2-3 whole season of story build up 😂
If he watch a 1 off adventure like a trickster episode it will be just a normal episode
@@SMashborn More like what was supposed to wrap the entire show, built from the very first episode.
So not going to lie they couldn't ended the show there and it would have been perfect❤
holyyyy shit so true! 😵💫
17:53 "stop hunting demons when you've got an *angel* at home!"
(In my head) Castiel: "... am I a joke to you?!"
😂
FRRR
FR. I was dying, because he's definitely got an angel at home but that wasn't him. :D
IKR!? THAT WAS SO FUNNY
LOL
Was looking for a comment like this
Dude. Judging by your reaction to this episode, if you were to watch it from the beginning, I think you would have an immense appreciation for this show... It has fifteen seasons for a reason.
i see conventions in his future if he sticks with it. 😂
Yea. Im not really a fan of supernatural shows but i watch this every week for 15+ years (Or how ever long it went on). Such a good show. Even tho it kinda got worse and worse.. And didn't really have a proper ending because of covid. But all in all.. Great show.
EXACTLY.
@@Danny_R_ 2005 to 2020. I started in 2008, and never missed an episode from then.
Dean and sam combined died more than 130+ times in the show. I lost count after the series finale 😂
Hahahah
Someone actually counted
Mystery Spot poor Dean
You are counting incorrect the amount of times trickster killed them is already more than your total tally 😂
Hilarious and oh so true!!!!
For reference, this was originally meant to be the final episode of the show. When Eric Kripke(the guy who is the showrunner for The Boys) was planning the story of Supernatural, he had 5 seasons planned out with this episode being the culmination of the entire story. The CW wasn't necessarily a fan of that because the show was still pretty popular and they knew they could make more money if they kept making seasons, so Kripke ended up leaving after this episode and it continued being run by different people. The final scene with Sam under the streetlight was basically the network's way of saying "Hey all the stories haven't been wrapped up, you'll need to come back next season to see how this happened."
classic hollywood
No it wasn't. That is a myth. They always hoped and intended to go on beyond it, but they were not sure it would get renewed.
@@helenwood8482 No, he is right. This was ment as the series final. Jensen and Jared have talked about it several times.
Well, at the time the episode was shot, the whole behind the scene stuff with the ending of the show was probably already addressed. They could've changed this episode, and they did, by adding Sam at the end of the episode. But they still kept the rest, because it was indeed Kripke's last episode. So it's basically a goodbye letter to the fans, not from Supernatural itself, but from Kripke.
@@helenwood8482he’s right
This reaction just proves that context is king. I've been seeing some suggestions for the French Mistake: I would steer clear of that one. For any significant effect, it requires not only show context, but basic knowledge of the cast's personal lives as well.
Mystery Spot, Changing Channels, and Scoobynatural are all lovely options for stand alone episodes that don't require too much background info.
Scoobynatural is a fantastic suggestion.
Changing Channels has been my favorite episode since i saw it the first time 🥳
There's also Fan Fiction, that is a rather good episode to watch on its own, compiling a lot of the spirit of Supernatural, despite some inside jokes.
And of course, if you want simpler episodes, without the devil and all, aim at episodes of s1 to 3.
This isn't a filler episode, you jumped into the end of a cool storyline.
The fact you’ve never watched the show and said season 3 episode 17…and there is no episode 17 had me cackling.
riiiight haha the shortest season 🤣👏🏻
LMAO
I started this series during season 3! Best season IMO.
I watched this because it is my favorite show but when I saw which episode you picked I thought, he is going to be so lost. This show is lore heavy and context changes everything.😊
Frrrrrrr :(
They are plenty of "monster of the week" episodes that would make more sense as a stand alone. But the plot building episodes won't make as much sense alone. If it is named after a rock song, good chance it is plot building. I would suggest "Do you believe it fairies?" happens the season after Swan song and is frickin hilarious.
One of my favorite! I loved soulless Sam in that episode.
1:25
Wait, Swan Song?
Your random episode is Swan Song?
Oh...
...
...
...
I love this episode. But I'm not entirely sure if this was a good idea for a random episode. I feel like it's a good LAST episode to watch... ... ...
Fr.
17:53
"stop hunting demons if you've got an angel at home"
I think my soul broke 🤣🤣🤣😭
HELP- LOL
Yellow Fever is the episode I'd pick Dean is hilarious in that episode.... while Bad Day at Black Rock, Sammy is hilarious in that episode too lol
Watching SPN with no context is insane 😂 the recap would've helped though and it's technically part of the episode
You should do an episode called "Yellow Fever" X3c that and the Scoobynatural where they do a Scooby Doo crossover.
Scoobynatural was my pic for a random episode
Yellow Fever is my fave
@@xDarkTrinityx 🎵Rising up, back on the streets! Took my time, took my chances!
This would be a good one. Somewhat of a filler episode but easier to follow compared to Swan song
Did you notice that Bobby Singer (the older guy) is also on The Boys playing Robert Singer? Robert Singer is the name of one of the show’s writers. The character didn’t have a last name and someone wrote Singer and it stuck. I think anytime Eric Kripke casts Jim Beaver in anything, his character name should always be Robert/Bobby Singer. If you want 4th wall breaks, next time do the episode The French Mistake. S6, E15.
I agree 100% on the Robert Singer point. If we could find a way to tie all of his roles together, that would be some epic lore, all tied to just one actor.
He's a producer, with a couple of writing credits, if I'm not mistaken.
Jensen Akles did a guest spot on the show Tracker as the main guys brother that he hasn't seen in a very long time who needs help finding a missing friend. He was basically Dean only not called Dean. The final scene with him is him getting in Baby.
I knew that! :D
Yeah Cas was already an angel and was resurrected by God.
Lol
You definitely should do this with The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Teen Wolf, NCIS and DC Legends of Tomorrow 🙌🙌. Also yes the other guy who healed Dean and brought Bobby back to life was an Angel even before he got upgraded by God
Yes definitely NCIS one of my favorites!!
At this point in the show Sam, Dean, Adam, and Cas had all had at least one death and resurrection already. So yeah, deaths of important characters were always viewed with a lot of doubt and denial 😂
Frrrrrr
I would recommend you watch Yellow fever or Mystery spot. Great stand alone and funny episodes
Second both of these.
Some of the most epic episodes are- S4E6- Yellow Fever, S5E8- Changing Channels, S6E15- The French Mistake. They're all easy to follow as stand-alone episodes and they're consistently on the top episode lists (usually in the Top 10). If you check out Yellow Fever, watch past the end of the episode for an awesome Easter Egg.
Yes, I was hoping for one of the trickster ones.
I started the show with catching the episode Yellow Fever…. My sister was watching the show and I normally dislike grotesque horror and every time I had caught a glimpse previously it was a grotesque scene so I was in interested… but the episode before yellow fever is the black and white one I think it’s called monster movie and she was laughing so hard at that one then at yellow fever…. She started yellow fever over for me so I could see what was so funny. After yellow fever I watched the monster movie one and I was absolutely hooked. Started watching from episode 1 after that…. And I have seen the show so many times over because it’s my favorite thing to put on for comfort or background noise. lol
@@grumpyunicorn3069 awww love that!! 😊
i was first introduced in my sophomore year of highschool like 6 years ago and me and my friend bonded over it. sometimes id watch it during lunch and on her last day of school we walked around the bus loop singing wayward son. 😌
i binged it again during nov-dec and stopped at the end of s10 (such a great season!) i might restart again but idk i don't love all the god and amara stuff. and technically i have watched the last like 5 episodes because ive heard the ending is shit and ive have it spoiled and i don't think id like it lmao
@@mariakara2419 that’s fair! I’m not a huge fan of the Amara season or the Leviathan season. I was spoiled in the last episode as well (I haven’t seen the last 3 seasons yet for various reasons but I’ll get there). The last season was filmed and aired during Covid and so it kinda had to be low quality unfortunately, so I get it, but I also wasn’t a fan of how it looked or felt. There are some elements I do like about what the overall story was for the last episode, but I won’t say those here as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. 💖
I LOVE CHANGING CHANNELS
Although this is one of the best episodes, probably in the top 5 for Supernatural fans, it's hard to enjoy for random viewers, since there are a lot of past references already. I think you've already grasped the importance of the car, haha. The car is considered by many as one of the main characters of the show.
I would recommend:
season 4 episode 18 The Monster at the End of This Book
season 5 episode 14 My Bloody Valentine - this is a good standalone episode and more on Supernatural lore
season 5 episode 19 Hammer of the Gods
I'm amazed I haven't seen more recommendations for The Monster at the End of This Book! I love that one!
I think you would like the episode Baby, but honestly the Pilot is fantastic
Lol fr
If you want to see the best stand alone episode of Supernatural, it is season2, episode16 "Roadkill." This episode, you really need to have seen a lot more of the show in order to know what's actually going on.
Roadkill is such an underrated episode of Season 2, I always think about that one
YESSSSS
So true
Aah, you missed out in the beginning... the recaps in Supernatural aren't like normal recaps, they're done like fanvids, every beat timed with the music. 😃 Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas is the unofficial theme song of the show, played in every season finale.
They didn't say "Baby" was the first ever car of that model. I was done at that point. I was already not sure about this. HaHaHa
Definitely do a part 2 of Supernatural. Here's a few options and what to expect from them.
6x15 - The French Mistake - for 4th wall breaks
13x16 - Scoobynatural - name speaks for itself, crossover with Scooby Doo
10x05 - Fan Fiction - the 200th episode with more meta madness...
11x04 - Baby - for more car commercial...
PART 2 IT IS!! I will the episode that I see MOST recomended!!
@@Rakhim99 i love the fan fiction one XD
Definitely scoobynatural
Baby is a GREAT stand alone episode! Especially after seeing this one.
I second ALL of these!!!! Although really, he should watch the entire show. :D
Changing channels, the real ghostbusters, or Mystery Spot are fantastic stand alone episodes to check out next if you’re looking for another one
"What is this 4th wall break?" I don't think you care about spoilers at this point, but I'm still not gonna give any. But this is funny. This is absolutely hilarious.
was looking for this comment :)
The reason this episode ended sounding like it was for sure the end was because the show was originally supposed to end after the fifth season. Eric Kripke left as the showrunner after this season, and over the course of the next ten years the show got worse and worse. I still finished it, but man it was rough.
It’s best to just watch from the beginning. It’s only 15 seasons. I’ve watched it from beginning to end so many times I’ve lost count. Give it a shot. You might like it.
Same. They genuinely feel like family I've spent so much time with them
"It's only 15 seasons" 😂 I'm with you, I've seen it all twice and am rewatching with my kiddie, but that still had me laughing. If you average one episode per day it would still take nearly a year! (327)
@@mintygrey You should try the Stargate shows. Only 17 seasons! I love both and will alternate my rewatches between the franchises. I can get through them in about 1 1/2 months.
@@jeandiatasmith4512 oh friend, I am with you in that boat. I have Ronon's neck tattoo... haha!
You should also do Yellow fever or changing channels!! Those are such good episodes and maybe mystery spot too!!
Michael and Lucifer are two of the Arch Angels.
Swan Song is not even remotely a good place to START this show. You should have watched a filler episode - they're often excellent. Writing quality is tops for first five seasons - then, well, it's something else.
The French mistake I think is another that was recommended on all the articles
@@Rakhim99 French mistake is good but I think you appreciate that one more when you have certain knowledge of the show and actors, I think I'd recommend Tall Tales (Season 2), maybe Mystery Spot (S3) or Changing Channels (S5), I feel like even if some of those delve into the overarching plot they can still be enjoyable on their own
100% agree with you. French Mistake is amazing, but more so because of the inside jokes and references.
You cannot watch a random episode. This show itself is so random sometimes, you’ll be lost. Gotta start from the beginning, totally worth it tho!
Probably not going to get many upvotes, by I'd say try the episode "Hell House", season 1, episode 17. You'll get the brothers and some memorable extras, but will be minus some of the later permanent characters.
However, I agree, "Scoobynatural," season 13, episode 16, is probably one of the best ever episodes. My personal favorite is "Fanfiction," season 10, episode 5.
This episode was the originally planned ending before they knew they were getting renewed. Lucifer and Michael are archangels, and Cas is a regular angel.
You should definitely check out Changing Channels or Scoobynatural. Neither of them need much context to enjoy.
I thought this was going to be Yellow Fever or Mystery Spot 😂😂😂
This is the original ending to the show. This was Eric Kripke's planned finale for the 5 season arc. The next season starts a new story arc.
Is this an important episode? Yes.
Is this one of the best episodes? Absolutely not.
My favorite from Season 5 is actually ep 4 "The End"
My recommended random episode would be
S01E04 Phantom Traveler
S01E09 Home
S01E15 The Benders
S02E15 Tall Tales
S02E16 Roadkill
S03E11 Mystery Spot
S04E03 In The Beginning
S04E17 it's A Terrible Life
S05E09 The Real Ghostbusters
S05 Changing Channels
Fun fact, season 5 was originally supposed to be the final season, then CW wanted more seasons
The show was going to end here. This is the end of the first storyline. And we didn't know it was going to continue when originally watching it. But then they decided to add that part with Sam in the end. So, it could continue.
For real. Starting any watching of SPN with Swan Song is a very bold choice, sir. Missed so much, missing so much in the future.
Sit down and watch the series, start to finish. It’s a wild ride.
There's 15 seasons. Castiel, the "friend" is an angel. The brothers die a lot in the show, the "prophet" is actually god, or he becomes god, I forgot. The show is crazy, it even makes fun of it's self. It's a good show. There's a reason it kept running 15 seasons. It has a huge fan base. I have seen every episode. Don't know which episode you should watch next, but the entire series is worth watching. Jensen is a great actor.
odd random episode to watch :D
15 seasons. 327 episodes. The longest running show of the genre. Started when the CW was the WB. The significance of the road so far and playing wayward son is that is the Una official theme song of supernatural and it's always played at the end of the season. The flash cards Natural and it was Natural and it was the red representing blood usually represents what that whole season is revolved in around or summed up. And you do need to watch that part because You get some of the context of what happens in the episode. I think you said it was supernatural killings. It's actually supernatural phenomenon. Such as urban legends and myths And all of it is pulled from Material that is already out there. At least most of it is. The devil is actually loose Lucifer And my Michael is the archangel. The rings were from the 4 horsemen And together they opened up the cage where Michael and Lucifer were to battle For the rest of the rest For the rest of eternity For the rest of it For the rest of eternity I'm believe... For the rest of eternity I'm believe.. Basically the story is about the 2 brothers and they're relation ship and what lengths they will go to To save and or protect the other 1. The car,, AKA baby,, Is in every episode Of the show just as Sam and dean R.. The guy in the trench coat is castiel and he's an angel.. The guy with the typewriter is chuck and he's a prophet Because he's Because he's always a prophet In the show Watch the show to find out Watch the show to find out why. Chuck then later comes back into the series with Twist. Yes they are talking about the apocalypse Because that was the reason Sam and dean were born As it is written in heaven so as it written on earth. That's a line from the show that castiel said. Sam is True vessel of lucifer and Dean iis the true vessel Of Michael. Adam is actually a 1⁄2 brother so Michael was Iable to use Adam as a vrdsel. Adam is actually 1⁄2 brother so Michael was able to use him As his vessel. You can't boil down 327 episodes Into just 1 episode. NS . And someone said this was not the best episode to watch. I likes season 4I like season 4I like season 4 episode 1 Lazarus risingBad day at black rock is good Because it has human it Because it has human it. The 200th show fan Is Is also really good. Also the music that they use is classic rock because that is what dean listens to In the car. Dean Always drives the car come with a very few exceptions,, And as they say in the 1st episode
"Driver picks the music, passenger shuts his cake
hole" The pilot episode is also a very good 1 because it does set up the entire Premise of the series. It's called the woman in white.
You're so cute when you're confused 😂 The lore of this show is not meant to be understood by normal humans
uhhhhh thank you!
little resume of previous season:
season1: their dad was tracking a demon and they join him, but at some point Dean died(almost) so his dad sold his soul to a demon to save him
season 2: Sam learn he have power when he drink demon blood, they continu to track the demon from season 1 and succeed to kill him, but accidently open a portal to hell, oh meanwhile SAm almost die, but Dean sold his soul to save him
season 3: after the portal to hell open, one of the demon that was release(lilith) will have as secret objective to bring back Lucifer from the cage he was locked in and by the end of the send Lilith is defeated, but after successing to free lucifer, oh and Dean run out of time so he's send to hell
season 4: lucifer is setting up the appocalypse but, his perfect vessel is Sam, he his like 10 times stronger when possessing Sam instead of the other one, and the perfet vessel for Mickael(an archangel) is dean, so he send Castiel(an average angel) to bring him back from hell, but both brother will refuse to be host until this episode happen, also, demon can possess people by force, but angel need consent, but consent doesn't expire and while being evil, lucifer is still an angel.
That other 'devil' is the Archangel Michael, and he wasn't killed by the holy oil only banished. Holy oil can kill lesser angels and demons, contain archangels and other ranks of demons and angels as well.
This was the last episode that Eric Kripke did, so it was the last of his arc. So, yeah, going into an episode of Supernatural without knowing the lore is a recipe for disaster.
First 4 seasons are the best! My daughter loved it. I would had picked an episode from S1 or 2.
I stand by that this was the most perfect ending to the show. I take this over what the actual finale.
He absolutely was an angel. One thing you have to know about this show is that the angels are jerks. They are scary warriors...until the show decides to make them funny sidekicks. 😂
omg this is an INSANE episode to watch randomly for the first time 😭😭
HELLO??? OMG no way season five and episode 22 im gonna cry thats the craziest start
I am a huge Supernatural fan and I love Cas but just when Lucifer exploded Cas and you went "-wait, was he important?" I DIED lmaoooo
Great observation about this season finale being written like a series finale! The original intent was actually to end the show after 5 seasons. That's what Eric Kripke wrote, that is how he wanted the show to end. I believe he mostly left the show after the 5th season. There are some fans who don't acknowledge the show past this point. But the actors and production team were having a lot of fun making it, and the fan base was still growing, so they kept it going. There are 15 seasons total.
This was originally the end of the show. Kripke envisioned a five season story arc - and he left after this one. Some shows are easier to watch a random episode than others - things like SPN, the later seasons of Buffy, etc, it's harder, because they're dripping with universe building, and lore, and rules.
The Greatest show Ever and the Greatest Duo Ever and the Greatest crew Ever all in there
💯
Adam was possessed by Michael and his destiny is fighting lucifer that's what they were gonna do until dean interrupted them
"wait he's related to the devil?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I saw the heading, I just LAUGHED and said “Well, that would be interesting-I-mean-confusing!)
Ohhhh this is a great show. I binged the first five or six seasons a few years ago.
I think you got a couple more to go
@@Rakhim99 Definitely! Was surprised they lasted THAT long.
Funnily enough, your random example, episode 17 of season 3, doesn’t exist, as that season is 16 episodes long.
…or that would be episode 1 of season 4 then. Another fun one to watch out of context (if confusion = fun)
"Bobby died and came back to life!" ... Yeah they do that a lot 😅
the reason why this episode is treating the season as the end of the show was because this was supposed to be the official end of supernatural. the CW kept adding more seasons and this ended up not being the end of the show as a whole but the end of Kripke's time as showrunner.
There are SO MANY great individual episodes in this series. It’s hard to point them out. But you should totally watch Scooby-natural. It’s such a fun episode. And more self-contained. With this episode you watched here, you literally picked the culmination of 5 seasons, lol
OH MY CHUCK I LOVE SUPERNATURAL AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
This episode was years before other shows Jensen did, the Boyz being one of those shows. It's not that he's "hemming it up" he's just older, his voice has more scars, a story to tell
Of ALL the random episodes and you start with this one😅 holy...
Oh Lord there is wayyy too much lore to jump randomly into this one but good effort. They each die like a hundred times, Dean maybe a few more. And you have to remember in the early days it wasn't this amazing 15-year juggernaut of a show. Like at the end of every season for the first 4 or 5 years they were always on the ratings bubble where they may or may not have gotten renewed. I remember how thrilled they were to just get a second season. They had no idea...😂
The fact bro even skipped the recap😭😭. One of the few things the fans always look forward to
"got a angel at home" oh boy if you only knew lmao
this show is so good
Yes the writer/creater wrote 5 Seasons & wrote season 5 to be the original Ending but it was popular for the network so they wanted to continue the series so the original writer left but again the network push out 15 more Seasons !
18:19 that's cause it was kind of the end the creator wanted for the show. after that other people took over that's why most fans say the first 5 seasons are the most solid and consistent when it comes to plot and character development.
You really can't appreciate this with out the back story. Its an amazing show. Its worth watching from the beginning.
Adam " Michael" is actually their younger half brother but they low-key don't like him cause their dad gave him the life they wanted so they distanced themselves but yk still cared cause they are the only family they got
At a certain point you realize that every season finale is "this is the end of the show....just kidding, here's a hook for next season"
I still have the last two episodes on my DVR. After watching Supernatural for 15 years I just can't let them go and delete them.
Wawa. 🤣
Love it!
I'm pretty sure originally this episode WAS the finale before it was picked up by someone else, which is why it feels really final at the end
My favorite episode is 4x01 Lazarus Rising, but you might want to watch the recap to understand some things 😁
Basically watched the end of Eric Kripke's original run without context. Damm. 😂
Mystery spot!! So much fun!
RANDOM? Good luck on your journey my friend
This is actually a great random episode. It covers the basics of the whole plot, themes, and character.
I binged this entire series just in time for the last few episodes to air. It was a good ride, especially the first five seasons. But I don't recall a lot of details.
Though, from what I do recall, this episode was originally written to be the entire series finale. It only continued for more seasons afterward because of its extreme popularity and the clamoring for more from fans, if I recall correctly. The later story wasn't nearly as good. You came in on the last episode of the original arc, I'm pretty sure.
There's no shot your random pick was the original ending for the show 😭😂
I'm so glad you picked up on Lucifer's mannerisms in Sam! Thats a huge part of the show when people are possessed by other characters
I saw the title and i knew this wont be ending well 😂
Sam came back. Without a soul. His soul is still in the cage with Lucifer and Michael. Yes Michael is the Arch Angel Michael. Cass is an angel. At that point he was left to pick up the pieces in Heaven. Didn't go well.
I vote for, changing channels or Baby for a second episode
Ok but imagine if he got the imaginary friend episode or the wishing well with the suicidåľ bear, or dog Dean days 😂
Yeah, a season finale is not a good episode to start with. Especially if you skip the recap. "Bloody Mary" would have been good to watch as a one off, it's a "monster of the week" (literally) type episode. A lot of reactors will run polls on Patreon for suggestions, or have fans list some in the comments, and look for the one most often mentioned. Context is REALLY REALLY important for the later seasons of the show.
And SPN, as many fans call it, lasted for 15 seasons. Quote: Supernatural is the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series and one of the longest-running sci-fi shows in the US, with 15 seasons and 327 episodes that aired from 2005-2020." Unquote.
Side note: If you ever do a Doctor Who reaction, I recommend "Blink." It's a banger. It's called a "Doctor lite" episode, because he's not in it that much (and he's the gentleman in my pfp), the Tenth Doctor, played by David Tennant, but the only thing you really have to know is he's an alien who has a humanoid appearance and can travel in time and space. And he has a companion or two or three, most of the time. And they help people.
💙
I absolutely love the episode you picked. But oh boy. Carryon my wayward son!
