This to me is the greatest cover of a song ever. It took the original concept and made it more than than the original could have possibly have intended. It is a PERFECT song. 😳😳😳
David is one of my most favorite current vocalists singing today.
This video actually does a great job on explaining the meaning of the lyrics, great rendition; also someone said Simon and Garfunkel’s version was a warning and Disturbed’s version is we better get our act together

There is also a live version (I think it was on Conan O’Brian) where you can really hear the incredible range and dynamic control that David has (and I believe he was sick or had an issue with his vocal chords, but he is still amazing)

Absolutely great cover! Shinedown did a great version of Simple Man which always comes up into my awareness whenever I hear this song by Disturbed. As I mentioned I love this version, however seeing Simon and Garfunkel perform it at the concert in Central Park live was also truly amazing 🙏 Thanks for letting me transcend time and space with you 🤙🏽

This is the best cover of this song in my opinion. It's such a well written song. I love Simon & Garfunkel. They were such great song writers. Disturbed made this song even more epic. I loved this the first time I heard it. It's so passionate and haunting.

I grew up listening to Simon&Garfunkel on LP and love them. This one adds another layer of what the song actually is about that I never picked up before I heard this the first time. After a couple hundred times, still equally good 🤯

To me, there are three great versions, and each means something different. The first, by Simon & Garfunkel, was the warning. Disturbed gave us the anger. And Geoff Castellucci gave us the grief. Each for its own era.
Have not heard Geoff's version yet. Will check it out.

I find it a little bit humorous when the video starts and you don't hear any music. You point to your headphones with the look of "what's up?". At that moment you forgot the name of the song, "The Sound of Silence." That's what you experienced. Don't feel bad because this has happened many times. Good reaction!

Prachtige nummers over wat depressie, PTSS en verslaving met je kunnen doen en wat JIJ kan doen om er mee om te gaan. Ook Floor Jansen heeft een lied hierover geschreven op haar solo album Paragon, het heet Invincible. Het is zo herkenbaar en het helpt om te weten dat je niet alleen bent die met deze rot ziektes leeft! Groetjes uit het Hoge Noorden

I found Pentatonix when watching reactions to this video years ago. Pentatonix version came up and I went down the rabbit hole. Guess that makes me a Disturbed Pentaholic. I’ve seen PTX in concert and Distributed has been on my wish list your years. Had tickets and then Covid hit.
