If you look at other interviews with Kennedy he is really upbeat and interesting. Maybe he was thinking if I talk monotone and slow we'll be out of here by lunch !
I have watched Bork nomination process, and now I am watching that of Kennedy. I wonder if I missed anything, but it is Bork who got himself failed, and no one including Kennedy tried to put traps to fail Bork. They have every right to ask difficult questions. Have I missed anything?
Nope. Reagan was not politically experienced and a bit of an idealist. Borks record and statements were very unpopular with moderates, Democrats didn't need to lay any traps, Bork was doomed the minute he was nominated.
Thanks for posting. Glad that Kennedy was chosen instead of Bork. On a side note, it's funny to see Justice Kennedy here because of how different he looks. I'm used to him looking as he does currently.
@@rpdbu8250 "Justice Kennedy, Souter, Stevens, Blackmun, Sandra Day O’Connor are no longer on the Supreme Court." Which is a good thing. They were corrupt as hell.
Kennedy became gradually seduced by the praise of American legal academia for his increasingly liberal stances on gay rights. Approval of the academic legal community can be an extremely addictive drug when you're a federal judge
I wonder what his 'zone' is on homosexuality. Since he gave the right of sodomy to gays, does that extend to the right of marriage which may have a HUGE impact to this nation?
Kennedy's voice reminds me of agent Smith from the Matrix movies

Justice Anthony Kennedy is happily retired and doing well I pray. Reagan did well appointing him to the mahogany bench. ❤
Thank you for posting this, EMKInstitute.
I like Kennedy, but he is really is a dull speaker here
Listen to his speeches and other engagements over several decades. He has never been a good public speaker.
Lawyers usually are.
He is young and nervous

A Batey Bork belonged on that seat. Now instead, we have a pro-abortion, pro-perversion Justice that ignores the will of the people.
FamilyMSV The will of the people should be ignored in the Court. All that should matter to the judges is the law, and the Constituition.
@@bet8467 And abortion isn´t in the constitution. So Roe vs Wade must go away.
@@rpdbu8250 Yes, by 5 corrupt justices.

A
A Goldwater Conservative who upset plenty of people.
That Biden guy seems awful familiar.
Wow, that is not the same Joe Biden that we see today
5:05.... flashforward to 2015... obergfell vs. Hodges ruling... what a hypocrite..lol
what are you talking about? Kennedy voted in favor of gay marriage with majority. so he stayed true to his words. he put his religious beliefs aside
@@egyptworldtopgun1 personal? Clearly constitution doesnt grant the right to marriage... which obergfell does...🤔
