If you look at other interviews with Kennedy he is really upbeat and interesting. Maybe he was thinking if I talk monotone and slow we'll be out of here by lunch !
I was more pleased with Anthony Kennedy as his views of the Constitution were more calm and respectful especially since Robert Bork was much too conservative.
I have watched Bork nomination process, and now I am watching that of Kennedy. I wonder if I missed anything, but it is Bork who got himself failed, and no one including Kennedy tried to put traps to fail Bork. They have every right to ask difficult questions. Have I missed anything?
Nope. Reagan was not politically experienced and a bit of an idealist. Borks record and statements were very unpopular with moderates, Democrats didn't need to lay any traps, Bork was doomed the minute he was nominated.
Kennedy became gradually seduced by the praise of American legal academia for his increasingly liberal stances on gay rights. Approval of the academic legal community can be an extremely addictive drug when you're a federal judge
I wonder what his 'zone' is on homosexuality. Since he gave the right of sodomy to gays, does that extend to the right of marriage which may have a HUGE impact to this nation?
Thank you for posting this, EMKInstitute.

Kennedy's voice reminds me of agent Smith from the Matrix movies

Justice Anthony Kennedy is happily retired and doing well I pray. Reagan did well appointing him to the mahogany bench. ❤
Glad to apply Byrd's quote to himself.
0:25 min ... Democratic Chairman of the Judiciary Committee Senator Joseph Biden.
I like Kennedy, but he is really is a dull speaker here
Listen to his speeches and other engagements over several decades. He has never been a good public speaker.
Lawyers usually are.
He is young and nervous
kennedy's got so far being friends with ronnie reagan!!
A
A Goldwater Conservative who upset plenty of people.
Wow, that is not the same Joe Biden that we see today
That Biden guy seems awful familiar.
5:05.... flashforward to 2015... obergfell vs. Hodges ruling... what a hypocrite..lol
what are you talking about? Kennedy voted in favor of gay marriage with majority. so he stayed true to his words. he put his religious beliefs aside
@@egyptworldtopgun1 personal? Clearly constitution doesnt grant the right to marriage... which obergfell does...🤔
