That was fantastic. I’m going to be thinking about some of the things that Justice Kennedy said for a long time.
Very educating conversatiion.
Thank you🙏
I will watch this later
I therefore argue rich countries should be held to a higher standard and must be held accountable instantly and visibly. By virtue of their power and influence alone. Not defended and covered up for by the same virtue. The damage is direction changing for the entire world and for centuries.
Power corrupts.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Bruh he blew my mind lol. Watching Scalia on CNN and then Kennedy--one's pugnacious and ready to tear a non expert a new one for imprecise language, and the other has very thoughtful, balanced answers.
Great true story,book title-"Cowboy Mafia "#
I love Justice Kennedy even though I’m more progressive leaning but he was independent and I appreciate him for helping balance the court. Unfortunately he was replaced by someone who isn’t as moderate as him but I wish him the best
Democracy is for learning and protecting indeed. Otherwise it WILL disappear.
"Old boy network had to change"
I agree sir.
I wish someone would ask him why he retired when he did knowing now the rulings we got if he has had any second thoughts ? If he retired under biden the court would still be majority conservative but would have Roberts as the bulwark he served as for 30 years
I have seen it before. And we are twice defeated if the person we are giving up democracy for is from a powerful country and has powerful allies. It then disappears across the globe instantly.
"briefs" = like in a briefing, nothing to do with the length of s document. -Peace
I feel Rubenstein tends to rush Kennedy toward the end of his answers.

I wish he had asked about the preclearance vote that paved the way for voter suppression.
