Solo diving with bull sharks! The idea of it would terrify most people. I think i understand why you love it as much as you do, its another world down there, an absolutely amazing world that most of us will never experience but thankfully we have you to take us with you.
Mate that was epic. It had a bit of everything didn't it! The elusive mackerel topped it off. What a day! Haven't come across any scary sharks yet - only been for a few dives because I live in the country - so observing diver's behaviour when dealing with them is important to me. I remember when you turned back to look for that bully I thought, "he's needing to give a fair bit more attention to the shark than actually hunting. It might be time to call it." Then you pretty much said that. Even that small bit was wonderfully insightful about the dynamics that you can have with sharks when going for a spear, and how to be wise with them. It was also encouraging to know I am beginning to read the situations properly. The small things really help. Cheers.

@@shanesmith3677 I bet. I can tell you that I'm not hunting at 20 meters, but luckily most of the fish here in Pacifica Northwest of the US aren't much below 10 meters.
Hey Tim, Fellow diver, surfer and ambo over in WA. As you may appreciate, spending so much time in the water around sharks does put you at risk of a serious, even fatal attack. As an ocean dweller/lover its important to be conscious and respect this risk. It's very real here in SW WA with our white population. In fact, I was diving 2 weeks ago and some local fisherman nearby ran into a 4.5-5m white that could of swallowed me whole. Our love and connection to the ocean always overrides the slight risk of an attack and we always go back. I would love to hear your thoughts about the small risk of death and how you approach, reflect and come to terms with this. Also - Thats one hell of a solo mission! You are a freak. Safe diving mate!
