Darkside (the drummer in Mgła) is one of the best drummers in Black Metal scene. His work in Kriegmaschine is a masterpiece
man... Kriegsmaschine is really a masterpiece, residual blight give me the chills
Hes good for what hes doing here and in Kriegsmaschine.
Kriegsmaschine is one of the finest Black Metal outfits I've ever stumbled upon.
@@-Zer0Dark- best drummer in my opinion is Eloy Casagrande. He is seek... Others just smoking in the corner
Same band more nihilism
About "what makes this sounds?" You need to watch drumcam video of this sound to find out, and when you do i promise your jaw will be on the floor.
yes that would be awesome!
To actually answer the man's question: the sounds are the drummer's ride cymbals.
@@grimecube and a splash
@@RevelationNone Actually just rides. In the studio he used 2 separate ride cymbals. Live he uses a bell to avoid having to take with him two rides.
@@RevelationNone and the barbwire...
Mgla has a way with lyrics that you won't often find.
Indeed. That level of poetry beats many musicians and bands of all genres.
100%
Also are they pronounced "migwa" or have I made that up
@@lt8400 I thing is “Gla”
@@DarkSide.666 It's pronounced "Mgwa" and it means mist / fog in Polish.
@@iflayedmyfaceagain3330yeah agreed. My favorite lyrics have to go to Rammstein though. But you have to be german…
"i bet this song would be so fun to play on the drums"
oh you naive fool
So true.....
"I bet it would be so fun to be able to play this on the drums".
"Able" is the key word.
That's apart from acknowledging if it is hard to play or not, he just meant "fun".
In this case, you can say it would be fun once you're able.
And yes, I'm aware that he's not completely aware of the magnitude of complexity of the drums, but if he was, he would probably still think the same to an extent.
Because it is a different thing acknowledging when something is hard or fun to play.
And he probably meant the ride part when he said that anyway, which is relatively easy to play.
In which case, this would become irrelevant.
@@Benazgul Actually the truest comment I remember ever reading on youtube.
this is one of the best songs of all time period.
and the best is eof VI.
This is the best song of all times. Raw and beatiful.
Finally some black metal for you mate!
i am still waiting for some Dark funeral,Mayhem..... :( also i think that exercises in futility vi is better from musical/lyrical perspective.I do love the whole album tho.Mgla are unique band.
@@KORNBG really hope he get's around to do Windir when the W is up.
@@jw7500 for V, he can always do... Vegan Black Metal Chef. Heil Seitan ! :p
I absolutely agree with the finally! about time
Now that it finally happened we should push for more BM, something not too harsh like Ulver -Capitel V, Peste Noire - Dueil Angoisseus or Satyricon - Phoenix, and there you have it three beautiful songs to lure him deeper into the genre, but to be honest I'll be happy if he enjoys anything black metal, really a hard to love genre
The drummer for this band is next level. There's a "drum cam" video of this song being performed at a show. The dude's an animal
Check out Panzerfaust's Suns Of Perdition albums (1 & 2) for more next level drumming in black metal. It's similar but different to Apocalypticists
@@matthewgodding777 Panzerfaust are amazing! Great shows too!
@@matthewgodding777 thanks for the rec. I shall check em out
Darkside is an amazing drummer. Watching him play this song is so impressive
He wont do it and for that reason he will miss out on what makes this as good as it is
God damn, he really hears Mgła. Miracles happen.
Holy crap, im watching MGŁA reaction! Is this even real?
Soldout! No Black Metal anymore! [/irony]
he should have done reaction for the live drummer version of this song
@@TheMik29 How did they sold out ? They have cheapest merch , cheapest gig tickets, no promotions, no promoters, no video clips. How did they sold out ? Explain me that.
@@ccenty Haha dude, relax. It was a joke because Black Metal bands normaly don't get reaction videos. That's why I marked it with [irony].
But I forgot that some guys in the scene don't get along with humour.
@@TheMik29 Ok, sorry I get this wrong way. I thought you meant, ironic is that Mgła "should out" . Success does not mean that someone sold out, ofcourse.
I love that you're newer to the whole metal thing but can already feel the emotion of black metal. The way those guitars speak is just incredible.
Black Metal is embodiment of nature and beauty in music.
Of emotion and solitude.
Empty yet full.
I assume that alex isn't very much into black metal... the fact, that he had so much fun listening to this track regardless of its genre, speaks for a good taste in music.
i just think he doesnt know much about it. if someone shows him some good shit he probably would dig it alot. Back in one of his old videos with with that idiot from metal injection told him to respond or w/e, he really liked Gorgoroth/God Seed
This is classic Black Metal with a very modern approach. Excellent production, deep melodic passages, very technical, direct, clean and an amazing taste for wall-of-sound-type composition. And the drummer, oh my god, the drummer.
This is trve kvlt Black Metal.
Mgla are almost upto the level of Bathory and Dark Funeral in terms of respect.
Black Metal is one the best things that ever happened to my life along with discovering Metal as a whole. Pure fckin awesome.
If you like this I'd suggest Panegyrist Ophidian Crucifix (or actually, their whole album)
Doesn't have the classic black metal vocal though. Closer to the death metal vocal this.
@@QazwerDave yeah kinda different too cause most death metal screams sound raw but this one is kinda deliberately processed this way
Mgła is the best polish black metal band dude. Check out their last album “Age of excuse”
In a country that has no shortage of great black metal bands, btw. Actually, I feel that black metal is too narrow a genre designation to put them into.
Mgła is the best black metal band. And yes, they're from Poland.
@Rage Batushka as well
graveland and old behemoth are pretty decent too
@@mihaimarsch8813 Batushka is actually my favorite from Poland
Now you get it :) Yes. Now you get it. Hellcome to the family.
YES HE HEARD US!!!!
I was so happy to see that you actually reacted to MGLA
Also, FINALLY some black metal!
I cannot recommend enough listening to the Exercises In Futility album in full. Mgła are one of those bands where their songs aren’t made to be listened to in isolation. To get the full experience, you need to hear the whole album
Watch the drum cam version of this song. You’ll see what’s making that noise
I've seen these boys live. Sick energy. Awesome band.
Black metal, and not the easiest black metal to listen to. I loved it, these guys are masters of their craft and their lyrics are just... man...
I'm so glad for you that you managed to broaden your horzions to include these works of art and expression!
Black Metal is absolute awesome.
MGLA THE BEST BLACK METAL BAND IN MILKY WAY MORE REACTION!!
this is one of those bands where you just close your eyes and let the repetition of the hypnotic riffs overwhelm you. Pure Darkness.
Fuck I love Black Metal \m/
I find my self listening this song for hours while working in the computer
I explore very similar emotions like you @Dean Bartolo while listening to Mgła and their albums.
Greetings from Germany
Thank you for giving Mgła exposure, they're incredible, they were also the band which opened my eyes to black metal
We need here more polish bands!!!!! 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
BATUSHKA!! 🤘
Vader, Furia, Morowe
Arkona and Manbryne.Check this. Hell yeah🤘
It's "Mgła" - that means "the mist" in polish. You should pronounce it like mgwa ("ł" - we pronunce that letter similar to yours "w").
I always thought it was pronounced "мъгла"
Same in russian but you pronounce it the way you see it
Actually "mgła" exactly means "fog"
In russian it means haze
@@Radq124PL fog and mist are about the same thing, for all intents and purposes
Glad you finally reacted to MGLA Alex. I know you would absolutely love Windir. Both are amazing bands in their own right.
Mgła is easily one of my favourite black metal bands, they're so good
Great to see you reacting to some more Black Metal man! The atmosphere of this song is fucking amazing!
Black Metal is pure fcking amazing.
Maaaaan, that’s finally happened. Congratulations, you’ve just dived into this pandora ocean of nihilism. I’ve seen them live once and this was fkn awesome, they sound exactly like on the recording. You should definitely listen to the whole album!
Out of curiosity what are black metal gigs like? I was thinking of seeing them back in May but I don't know what it would be like.
Mgla is such an awesome band, one of my favorite black metal bands.
Do Nile for N, great tech death band.
Mgla are one of my favourite bands of all time.So poetic, dark and beautiful.
Thumbs up for Nile!
Nile would be a great choice! Sarcophagus or lashed to the slave stick.
Other choices:
Nevermore- this godless endeavor
Necrophobic- the nocturnal silence

Nile- Enduring the eternal molestation of flame
Nile - Annihilation of the wicked

I didn't think I'll ever see Mgla on this channel...
It really brings a smile on my face when people that haven't heard of Mgla instanTly enjoy their work
Black Metal and Mgla are pure fckin awesome.
Wooooow!! Your reaction was so priceless. Im so glad that you've listened to them. Through out this whole reaction i had smile on my face, because i really liked your impression on them and just your whole atitiude towards the song, and ofc the song makes me happy. So Alex, you just opened your mind for them and I really appreciate that :)
I Love this song and whole band for real. Every album is a fucking musical masterpiece. I just really appreciate this band so much. Just amazing shit! I hope that Im gonna be at least once on their concert.
Im gonna recommend u checking out more of their stuff. Maybe something from their new album called "Age of Excuse".
My favourite disney movie is propably "Lilo & Stitch" from 2002. But if we talk about older movies, I think its gonna be "Mulan".
Mgla and Black Metal reign all!!!!
Also my favourite Disney movie is also Mulan(the true Mulan, not the shite live action)
you had to choose the drum cam video of this song drummer is mind blowing
Love watching your journey through metal! FINALLY you've found MGLA. I'd recommend just listening to this album from front to back, incredible is so many ways
My favourite band and I was jamming out with you the same time headbanging!!!
O needs to be Orbit Culture. "Open Eye" or "Saw" are great introduction tracks.
Anything by Orbit Culture would fuckin rule 🤘🤘🤘
Yes
Open Eye or North Star of Nija
Nija by far the best album of 2020.
Last year,
plenty of good music came out.
Rock, metal, punk... but F me.... Nija blows the competition out of the water...
No joke.

Man.. Its amazing to see you have come all the way to one of my favorite bands of all time Mgla/Kriegsmaschine since you just started reacting to metals years ago. This duo of M. and Darkside are amazing and i really hope you'll react to more stuff of Mgla/Kriegsmaschine, it would be a delight.
Oh shit the madman actually reacted to this! I'm so glad ❤ damn you got me jamming out to it again too! Man, if you watched the drum cam you would watch the tasty mastery of the drums. It's hypnotizing

Exercises in futility VI is a bloody masterpiece!
@@dmitrijcesniuk6898 VI is the peak of the album.
Something I love about this ABC's of Metal series is that I, too, find new bands and that's awesome. I've been a metalhead for more than 15 years and still find amazing stuff to go, and this channel has a part on that.
That's one of the reasons why I promised I will be resquesting Ouroboros - Edifice of Tyranny for the letter 'O', since it's a less known band that in my opinion desires a lot more of attention and this song is an amazing display of how technical and impressive they can be. (So come on, Alex! Don't give me up, don't let me down!)
The drummer (Darkside) used to be a xylophonist, hence the really impressive cymbal work, thanks for the reactions mate!
Bruh, I’m at work and I’m still watchin! Gotchu my dude!🤘🏻😎
Finally Mgła :D we need more of this awesome content!
Mgla's music is exceptional. 4 Albums plus a few EPs, all masterpieces. Excercises is their best one though imo. It's super fun to play on guitar- challenging but rewarding the same time.
With Hearts Towards None would be my favorite
I saw them in a live concert, back in 2020 in Chile. I did know the band. Their concert was astonishing, they gived me the chills by their performance.
