I'm glad you guys tried it. GW2 is super underrated both narratively and mechanically. It's had it's ups and downs like any MMO but it's been good enough overall to keep me playing (on and off) since launch.
Nice one, hope you like GW2. I myself only started 2 weeks ago and really enjoying it. Coming from FFXIV it is strangely mindblowing every time my character TALKS!

(I'm in my 40's now, where did the time go?? lol) Held my attention about as long as a single player game. I tried out the GW2 free trial on a whim... It's still installed, I have 4 char. to level 80, and I'm just now working through the story with my main. THere's ALWAYS something going on in this game! lol. I hear talk of beginning the concepts for GW3 to get started on the development of it. All I can say in 2024 is I hope it stays around like GW1 has. I still have a lot I want to do! I havent even joined a guild yet!
It's never too late to come back! Because of the horizontal progression, you can catch up at your own pace. I highly recommend taking your time with it.
The only MALE character I ever made, it was because of the voice actor, Matthew Mercer from Critical Role who voices player character that is a Male (Ranger) Norn, . True I dont really watch Critical Role but my partner does every week and I listen to it. Might as well right? Looking it up he also voices Canach (future npc you will meet and bff. I have a ton of gw2 fans that has a huge crush on him. Or you hate him) since 2021 and a few other npcs that are random voices other then maybe Arkk, who is a Asura who is a fractal character. With character creation; doesn't matter. They are always shortest as I go.
To the players zerging them during events: fking stop it. As you already saw they could barely get credit with events because you people kept one shotting everything. Stop it.
Vod Squad! Someday I'll make a livestream again lol. I sunk so many hours into GW2 back in the day but fell off once the first expac dropped. Just lost interest. There's so much fun exploring and such to do though, so I can't wait to see any future content if y'all come back to it!
I tried so hard to enjoy GW2. I put in about 300 hors & I think I gave it a good try. I hope you enjoy it because more games gamers can enjoy is just better for gaming. Good luck fellas! 😊
same. I absolutely loved the open world fates and mounts, but unfortunately the rest didn't grip me. (high ping doesn't really help either lol). I still download it every now and then to give it another crack because maybe it'll click at some point. Hell it took me like 4 tries to get into XIV, so maybe there's still a chance for GW2
What happened to yalls Viewercount? You were pulling in thousands of viewers during Endwalker streams, and last night there were barely 600. Did Dawntrail make that many people quit?
Nah; ffxiv is infamous for having content viewers and players that do msq or watch it and then leave to do other stuff until a story patch hits. They're sort of lie migratory birds lol. Its part of why it's very hard to be a purely ffxiv content creator and you see most branch into other things for safety. MMO players in general also tend to be hard to aim for as a viewerbase.

It is neat but in my experience the way the character speaks does not reflect how I feel or what I would say so..

I get the hate for the bloom, sometimes it's too much. But I really think in most zones it makes it more alive and for the colors to popout.

Common miscconception Guild Wars 1 was never a MMO even on its hard Cover it says Coop Adventure it never go the Title of a MMO
One of my favorite MMORPGs! This was my main MMO from 2012 until I started FFXIV in 2019. I hope you enjoy this game!

600 is about the norm unless it's an MSQ stream.
