That's looks great on your WJ, almost 2 tone. I have a 2004 that's a darker gray but I'm sure it will look good too. Glad youtube showed me this thanks!
Yea man! Super easy to do and last a long time! I have done some touch ups here and there but most of it has lasted years! Send me a picture on my Instagram after you do it! @najaroffroad
@@NajarOffroad Absolutely! I got a wait till it warms up a little bit more, as it’s only in the 30s right now… And unfortunately, my garage is not heated, so it makes it very difficult to be spray painting. But I will definitely post you what it looks like after I get it done.
That looks great! I just bought a Cherokee and it's only 2 years old but the plastic trim and bumpers are faded and look crappy! I am scared to try this but I think I am gonna go for it. Yours turned out great!
Yea man it makes it look way better! And also the paint doesn’t flake off or anything! Only think I’ve noticed is if you get mud on it and don’t wash the mud off it kinda stains it but I usually just spray over it and looks good again
I noticed in the video when you were spraying the front bumper you did not take it off. Does it cause any problems when you're spraying the bottom part right into the radiator?
I just found your channel and its awesome! I have a 01 WJ with 204k on it. Its turned into a project now but i enjoy watching your videos they've help me. Question i want to add the same tires/wheels as your, wonder what size you have.
@@NajarOffroad not really a fix but will get you by if you have this common issue. My rear brake lights would go dim or one would completely stop working. With time the contacts metal tabs tend to wear and I put foil paper underneath so the bulb would get the proper contact it needs and the bulbs have not given me a problem again.
@@NajarOffroad also I'm from ARIZONA and it gets pretty hot here. I saw a video on UA-cam and the guy upgrade the cheap oem electric fan to a Ford explorer fan and fan clutch. Works like a champ. No more overheating issues and the fan blows lots of air
Just my personal opinion, black would’ve looked to much better against the silver, especially with those black wheels. Your paint job looks good though! Good work 👍🏼
+thepaint_r Yea I prefer the stock look but yea some jeeps look good with black on the plastic! I just got new wheels for the jeep too new video tomorrow
To each their own! I’m picking up a WJ this week and the first thing I’m gonna do is paint the wheels and probably the plastics. I used satin black rustoleum on the wheels of my explorer a couple years ago and it held up awesome! I’ll probably use plastidip or the stuff you used for the trim though.
@@trevlo9208 True everyone has different tastes! I don't know how well plasti dip will hold but im sure it will look good! Are you in socal? I have the steel black rims I took off my jeep if you're local
Well thanks for the offer but I’m on the east coast. I think I can live with spray paint for now haha. I think if I use enough coats, the plasti dip could build up to a solid finish that should last through a few bumps and bruises. The trick is to put the cans in warm water for about 10 minutes or so and make sure they’re well mixed. With the paint being warm, it’ll spread more evenly and will lay flatter.
@@trevlo9208 I had plasti dip on my grill for a long time and it actually lasted like a year and a half which I did not expect so yea as long as you put enough coats it will be fine!
I guess I wasn’t clear in the video.. the cladding I don’t know why but if you leave mud on there for a while it stains it no matter if you scrub and pressure wash it

What do you think of using the same paint that you used, but going with a Black color instead ?

@Lennox Tatum Yup, I've been using Flixzone} for since december myself :D

My pop’s did this to my 98 GC, and omg I love it! Your video was so helpful!
Works well huh? And looks amazing! Glad it helped!
You better give props to Carlos Custom Carts for that knowledge! 🤠
This stuff is magic. Used it on my jeep
I just used it on the new jeep we picked up made a world of a difference video will be up soon!
I just bought this same exact model. Same color. Love it
Dude...! Super psyched I saw this video! Just bought a 2001 JGC, and she’s in need of a facelift. This definitely fits the bill. Thank You!

Great job man, def helped that jeep out
+Baepsae J Thanks man! Yea it makes it the trim look like new! Now I just have to fix the rest of the jeep😂
Looks amazing i need todo dat
Looks Nice , Should Have Done The Front Grill To Match . Still Looks Nice.
Approximately how many cans should I buy to spray all of my trim?
1 should be ok but 2 would be ideal
Alright thanks 👍

I didn’t have any issues but you can cover it up
Looking good carnalito.
where is the video of you showing how to paint the grill
Looks clean but I would have made the trims black 👌🏾
Awesome thanks
Ever try coverall?
Never heard of that

Excellent information! Thanks for sharing. What lift do you have on that WJ?
Sweet video bro. If it starts to chip can you spray right back on top
Haha I haven’t had any chip😂 but if I do need a touch up I just spray it on
Looks good!
Do you think this could be done on the door handles and side view mirrors? Love your videos btw 🤙
Yea I actually did it to the mirrors
Just going through your channel but I got lazy on my pain and my overspray was 10x worse , nail polish remover wiped it right off
I just was gifted 2004 jeep cheerokee larado limited 100,000 miles same....the paints oxidize. What do I do to shine like yours
Duplicolor Trim and Bumper paint? Thumb up for the heads up.
Montana ultra flat black from Germany works
Enjoying your videos once again. I have the same vehicle and I'm always looking for something to do to it

Hey man, what size tires and lift do you have? Also what wheels did you put on? Looks pretty sick. Hoping mine will look nice after my 3 inch lift.
Not too shabby how much was that can?
+TheJlosupra not bad under $10 I think 8.99

How many hours do you wait for the paint to dry ?
It dries quick!
How long did it take for the paint to dry enough to drive?
It does dry pretty quick I would say maybe 5-10 mins depending on temperature
FYI I regretted putting paint on them after I realized I could’ve restored it with Aerospace 303.... Try that one out
Hey man what size tires are those
How well has it lasted?
It’s been great man! No chips in the paint since it’s flexible

You painted your grille matte black and and your cladding satin grey but if it gets dirty just wipe it off and put more coats of paint on
