Ayeeeeeee! Wah gwaan? Respect. So funny that I ran across your video. I do GrubHub and DoorDash and have been looking into moving to Tampa in the past year or so. I visited there and loved it. However I have since been hearing a lot about the crime in Tampa. Specifically towards delivery drivers is what alarms me. An Uber Eats driver was kidnapped. She escaped by telling him that she had to deliver to the customer or UE would be alerted. So she told the customer when she knocked on the door and she ran away or something. So I was going to visit Fort Myers and Cape Coral this spring to see how I liked it there. I know crime is everywhere but especially has been rising in Florida lately. I lived in the West Palm Beach area for 8 years when I was a teenager and my friends who still live there say that it's gotten very bad. I'm in Denver and while of course we have crime here, it's not that bad for as big of a city as we are (3 milli peeps). I'm going to watch your other videos to get updated on how you like it since you have moved there. I would love if you would comment regarding crime or anything you've seen. I'm sure since you're from The City the crime is probably much less than Tampa. However just wondering. I try to watch the local news there and local You Tubers to get a correct perspective. Fort Myers seems pretty damn bad from what I was watching on the local news, especially for only 80k peeps. Thank you for doing these videos about relocating! 👍😎🙌

It's a melting pot here alright lol. Funny that you mentioned Jamaican food, I stopped by a place in Riverview called Flavaz about 2 weeks ago. Have been wanting to go for a while but my wife always wants to go somewhere else, so just went by myself for lunch. I stood out like a saw thumb, and the waitress was speaking to me like I had walked in there by mistake. But Jamaican food is pretty popular in the U.K, so was hoping it would be similar. Wasn't bad at all, but 2-3 items on the menu they were out. I'll have to try the Jerk Hut out and compare as I haven't been there yet
Hey David! Yes I have been to Flavaz as well, I had takeout, it was pretty good. Jerk Hut had live music on a the Friday night I went you may stickout there as well ☺ but a decent date night for u and the wife. Look forward to seeing you when I visit.

take it from a license insurance agent..your auto insurance rates will definitely INCREASE. Florida has the highest car ins rates in the country.
Thank you... NYC insurance is pretty high too, I called my insurance and it seems at best it will be same but most likely higher.
I used to live at Pearce at Pavilion. Really nice place. Lived there until I bought a house in Riverview. I've been in this area for about 4 years now and really like it. You're right though, a ton of people are moving to Tampa because it is so affordable and we still have nice weather and beaches. It's got a cool vibe to it also. Welcome!!
Thank you! I stayed at Uptown Suites the last time I was in the area which is 1 block over from P.a.P. and I thought P.a.P. would be perfect for me. I will be going for a tour end of this month, checking out a few other places as well.

Riverwalk nice spot to socialize and check out the eye candy ... nice vibe especially around sunset and the evening ... ybor city is cool also for a dinner/drink and cigars if that's ur thing ... ruskin fl has a very chill spot called Little harbor ... older crowd but good food ... direct waterfront and sunsets are off the hook

Hey man. Congrts. I think leaving NYC behind was probably the best “Personal Decision” you ever made. Its sucks here bro, NYC is too expensive, the people, the traffic and the worst of all, as you probably know being a former New Yorker, the MTA. They are the worst and it costs 2.75 per ride, not sure if you knew it.
Florida is definitely the place to live and raise a family. I was down there for almost a week. I loved and i didn’t want to leave. Its just too hot now, but other than that. It is a the place that is much better than NYC.

It’s like Seattle area it’s a major transplant city . I don’t know many people who where born and raised out here. Most people are from California or from elsewhere

How are the elementary and middle schools in Tampa?
My son goes to Elementary, he started this year, he is loving it so for. I would recommend looking up the reviews and test scores for the schools in the area you like.
