I own a 2017 SX tourer,bought it new, absolutely love it I'm 66 + , I'm struggling a lot with joint pain and other things, for me this newer version doesn't warrant the cost of upgrading , it's got a few extras no improvement in bph over mine, not worth the up grade , My next bike needs to be more upright Tiger 900 or something similar ,a little bit lighter and better seating position,
Hi Martin, I also have 2017 tourer purchased from new i’d love to upgrade but may end up fitting a quick shifter to mine as the trade in value is insulting! It’s because of high mileage, apparently I’ve ridden it too much😂. Last year I test rode the Versys 1000. I was very impressed with it. If you decide to go for an upright bike that could be worth a try.
Nice ride it looks like it needed more revs when cold to move almost stalling 😀 quick shifter sounds smooth sounds just like my sx did thanks for sharing buddy 🏍️👌👊
The revs were because the clutch lever was adjusted to a wierd position. Once I adjusted it,it was fine. The quick shifter was awesome! It shifts up at any speed and any revs as long as you’re accelerating. The down shifter works above 3000rpm and below1500rpm but not in between 1500-3000rpm which is strange.

The bike sounds so smooth. I wonder if it mitigates the fun factor, but it looks good nevertheless. Maybe a bike to consider when I’m 50 years old lol.
The smoothness doesn’t make it any less fun. The Ninja 1000sx has a very naughty side that encourages spirited riding. It really is a comfortable Sportsbike.
Hi Tommy, I absolutely loved it, it’s a brilliant bike. I already have a Z1000Sx tourer I purchased new in 2017 so I’m not desperate to upgrade but if I can find the right deal then I will.

It’s not taxed as it’s a demo bike. I had to wear a trade plate on my back attached to a rucksack. It sounds much better in person than in the video.

Well after this review and many other vids, I will now be selling my Super Tenere to fund a new SX1000…thanks again buddy 🙏🏽🏍️

I love the spirit of British bikers but every time I look at one of these videos I think how shitty are your roads compared to continental Europe.
We learn to dodge potholes with a stiff upper lip and we buy goretex and heated clothing. Then we can imagine we’re in the south of Spain 😂
Come to Canada if you want to see shitty roads and cook in traffic jams due to construction at every dam intersection through out the whole dam city !
