Beautiful.. The DH-103 was my first scratch built plane.. Great flyer even on one engine.. I still have the plans from RC Modeler magazine from many years ago..
I thought I recognized that serial number. Sea Hornet TT213 was evaluated in Australia, on loan from UK, during 1948-50. Not taken up by RAAF and returned to UK early 1951. Very nice model and great job by owner/builder/flyer. Good to see any model with Aussie connections.
There was one master scale version by Dario Brisigella. Hung at EAA museum for many years. An awesome representation of this fine aircraft. Did you build the one shone? Know more, please show more of it!
This is an incredible slick model. Chris do you know what company make a decent one piece 12-14 inch 4 blade electric prop for a 6s freewing mustang? (Moded set up) Need something that’s not in 4 pieces so it’s more balanced. The props in the vid seem spot on. Thanks-Ant
Personally, I’d rather that than seeing cylinders protruding through the streamlined nacelles. But, to each his own as we all have different preferences. 😊
@@Thercgeek For planes like the Hornet we have (had, as Alan from Weston UK is not selling them anymore) the RCV SP inline piston engines that come in 60, 90 and 120 flavours. It is a very compact four stroke rotating valve engine that turns big props. Anyway, the model is fantastic whatever engines it has.
Beautiful plane.
Great to see . And contra rotating propellers too . Nice touch and very nicely flown.
He did a great job building this American Eagle kit.
Yeah he did

Very cool! I’d love to build one for myself. It’s a really cool looking airplane and seems to fly beautifully.
@@Thercgeek I still have a couple of old videos up on this plane from a few years back.. It was a fun project..
That's almost as pretty as what you build Brother man! Enjoyed the video :)
I always enjoy seeing a scale model with scale props.
Beautiful model - smooth, pretty flight !
Who say's electrics don't sound nice? This is great stuff!
Hornet. Result of a dirty weekend between a Westland whirlwind and a mosquito. Gorgeous airplane 👍
😆
Interesting wing. The quarter-cord is sweeping forward, like the Canberra. Early X-29 technology. ;)
Excellent work.

Eric Winkle Brown's favorite aircraft 😊
wow
Beautiful !!!
Beautiful! Much prettier than the Mosquito imo. Not often modeled.
What a model
That is realy nice seahornet . 😊
Got some goofy looking aspects. But, what a gorgeous representation of Her Goofiness 😊
Thanks for bringing Her to us!! 👍

I have all of the specs for the model in the video description
@Thercgeek regarding the British hornet,is it mostly balsa and ply, or carbon fiber , fiberglass?

Definitely tell it’s a DH. unique Rudder.
Chris , was this at Muncie last summer ?? If it was I missed it , Dam !!!
It was indeed! I think this was my favorite model at the event.
With 130 series Merlins rated at over 2,000 hp, this was one seriously capable fighter! Is this 1/6… any details?
I believe it’s 1/7 scale. I have all the details in the description.
there are plans to reconstruct a very damaged real airframe project in the works
Whoa, that’ll be awesome!
Please skip the unnecessary music. Rather hear the props and engines, thanks.
Um, there’s a full flight without any music at all starting at about the 2 min mark. 😆
One of the most beautiful planes but.....come on......¿Electric?
Agreed , needs sound generator. Still a beautiful plane , assuming another wooden wonder from the UK
