We don’t have any high speed rail in the US. The one in California never finished, due to budget overruns and mismanagement. The “fast commuter trains” we have here are second hand ones from France that they had in the 90s.

I didn't know which route will be built, probably hasn't decided. The video mentioned in vacuum, it means the next version of the train, which hasn't finish the R&D. The speed will be 1000kph. And of course the route hasn't been decided.

If China's HSR were a private company or pursuing profit, the current fare would probably double. This is one of the strengths of their system. On the other hand, although the high-speed railway company is not profitable, it brings huge benefits to the social people in the cities surrounding the high-speed railway.
3:08 and 3:49 shows works in Switzerland (Gotthard Tunnel / Alp Transit) and Swiss Trains. At least we have the longest train tunnel still in Switzerland.
I believe there is a lot of misinformation in this video. The video clips and project don't even match. For example, for the Channel tunnel, they are showing cars and a road tunnel. But the Channel Tunnel is a pure railway tunnel. You can't drive on it. As for the main project discussed - the Ningbo-Zhoushan railway, I had to look this up, since I know of main railway projects in China, but never heard of this being a vacuum tunnel. The articles I found all say it's just a normal railway tunnel with a 16 km undersea section, and the trains that eventually pass over it will only be 250 km/h, which isn't even very high speed by China's standard of 350 km/h for its fastest operational lines. China is supposed to be working on a 600 km/h Maglev (Japan is currently building one), but that project will be between Beijing and Shanghai, and is only at a very early stage with only one prototype made, and it didn't travel 600 km/h. There has been talk of China building a hyperloop (I believe Guizhou has been mentioned), but there is nothing concrete at this stage. Overall, I am very skeptical of the quality of the information in this video.

speed of bullet trains is much higher. Typically 320 kph (200 mpH), but on some lines they rund 360 kph (225 mph)
Surely this is just regular high speed rail, not vacuum train. It wouldn't make any sense to build just 10 miles of vacuum track.
