Welcome back to Cambodia Chris. The dish you are eating is a Khmer traditional dish called nom pachok, it’s rice noodles with green curry fish broth, loaded with fresh veggies. Thank you for giving her the extra cash 💰 that will really help her out. She’s s real sweet lady … she tried her best to communicate with you… even though she didn’t understand your English❤ Khmer people are the sweetest and most gentle souls.
If you travel to Cambodia, you must take good care of your belongings or you will definitely lose them because there are many beggars and thieves in Cambodia.
I love how you communicate with my Cambodian people Chris. You are such a nice guy!!! Always share to people!!! One of my favorite dishes!!! We call Num banhchok!!! Enjoy ❤
The communication you had with the lady selling nom banch chuk (noodle with lemon grass fish soup), made my husband & I laughed so hard. We both Cambodian, we understand your interaction. Thought you both were so sweet. You made language barrier a non issue, loved it. You’re such a gentle soul. Hope all the best to you & may god bless you 👏 Think the lady plugging hair may not be “normal”, many of those in Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge, unfortunately. So sad 😭
Welcome back young man, great to see you in Cambodia, where other well known vloggers like Go With Ali, Harry J, Luke Damant etc avoided . Nothing to be afraid here,
authentic and Awesome content Chris. I'm experiencing exactly the same thing as I have just moved permanently to Cambodia. I have not found Cambodia to be any more dangerous than any of the big cities that I have lived in anywhere in the U.S. The people I have met are friendly and welcoming. And the food is fantastic from most street vendors you see. Enjoy Cambodia and I am glad that your subscribers talked you into returning to the Land Of Smiles.
I'm one of those that was born in the US after the war when my ppls seek refuge. Ran thru ur vids my feeds and I've never been to cambodian cambodia but now i gotta go after seeing your video bro. Love the support your showing to my ppl bruh. One love man
I came to Cambodia and Phnom Penh 5 times over the last ten years. I've probably spent 3 months in total there. Never had any issues with safety or felt unsafe at all.
Welcome back to Cambodia, Chris. I left the country back in 1979 after I had to live through the genocide under Pol Pot killing madness. Most of my family members did not survive as we were forced to move out of the Phnom Penh City in 1975 to work in the rice fields. I've returned to visit my sole surviving sister every year for the last ten years since my retirement from Minnesota , US to heal the past. It's very safe to visit Cambodia now as the country has come a long way since the prolonged civil war was officially ended upruptly in 1998. Be mindful of your surroundings . Be kind whenever possible. It's always possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Happy and safe travels from a genocide survivor ✌️
My parents were there and we got about the same time we left Cambodia around the same time that you left my parents are survivors of the genocide also I've been back many times but this time I'm going back I haven't been there for 5 years
New subscriber here. I can tell you have a kind heart. This is the first video of yours that I've watched.. I'll be watching others and will leave comments. Take care and safe travels, Chris.
Thanks for the tour of Phnom Penh, Chris! I actually didn't know that it was one of the more dangerous cities in this region. Good to know. I loved my time in Kampot, Cambodia a few years ago. I'd love to visit Cambodia again soon. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
You are too kind Chris ! I’ve watched plenty of your videos and enjoyed watching them . That noodle dish is called Nhom banhjok , green curry (fish based) . Also I’ve visited Cambodia plenty of times and to be honest I feel safer when I’m There than in California(Bay Area 😔)But yes no matter where you are you have to be cautious & travel smart
First time watching your videos. I’m glad I saw your video today about Phnom Penh. I will travel there very near future. Thanks for posting the prices of the food/drink so everyone can get some ideas how good/bad the price. I like the lady selling you a bowl of soup. She’s very well presented her food. So glad that you have her some extra money. You surely made her day and you know you help her family for that day. Very touching feeling when you saw elderly people that sat in the hot sun to sell things. Wish you can help them while you there. You are very kind. I love your good character. 👍❤️. I will continue watching your videos.
