    Gary, I love that you're very knowledgeable and experienced. If I have an air intake from the outside going into the room, is the setup still the same for the filter and exhaust? I should also mention that I'm using LED lights as opposed to high pressure sodium lights.

    Hey i got 16w inline fan that pushes 185m3/h. And a carbon filter that cleans 75m3/h (Can 1500PL) the smallest can filter. Im growing in 3x3x5. Should i worry about air passing too fast over carbon filter ?

    im a bit confused what size carbon filter would i need for a 120x120x200 tent im using a 600w led and do i need to cover the tents air vents and buy an intake fan if want to hide odor or will i be safe forgetting about the intake fan and just leaving the air vents uncovered as long as i have a carbon filter in the tent i no its probably a dumb question but im really confused id be thankfull for any advice

    • @PAHydroponics
      @PAHydroponics  4 роки тому +4

      Hey there, if the exhaust fan is not pulling in enough fresh air then you may need the extra fan, if you do get an intake fan get something smaller than the exhaust fan so that you still have negative pressure in the tent so the air is still always going towards the carbon filter, hope this helps - Gary

     PA Hydroponics 2 questions. does this completely eliminate the smell (if done correctly) and how loud is the average fan?

    • @PAHydroponics
      @PAHydroponics  5 років тому +7

      Hey good question and yeah it can eliminate all of your odors but every time you open the tent it can be an issue, you could set a separate filter outside of the tent to clean the room the tent is in. As for the fan it can be a humming sound like a bathroom fan, I wouldn't call it loud but to some people it is loud, there are some fans that run very quiet but they do cost extra. Hope this helps. G

    Can You use 2 6 in Carbon filters Gary? One on the end of the duct say if you are venting within the house or same room?? Would that change any CFM ratings or Negative pressure issues?

    • @PAHydroponics
      @PAHydroponics  3 роки тому

      The filtered air that is venting into the same room or even outside is going to be "clean". There would be very little advantage, and perhaps as you stated some issues may arise when trying to add a second filter.

  • @Taylormadeseven
    @Taylormadeseven 2 роки тому

    You can push into can,let's say can is outside.
    You just put your cloth sleeve inside the can yeh.
    Same purpose.
    It's about filtering.
    Turn the fan around,sleeve inside push air,create more space in your room

    HI Mate
    Just a quick question from an ignorant viewer, when my filter is all used is it just the outside material I change or is there something inside I would have to change also?
    Thank you

    •  3 роки тому

      You have to change the carbon (inside) to get the same results as a new filter.

    I don't get it. If the air escapes from the lamp it will still go back into the filter right? So how does this make any difference?

    •  3 роки тому

      This way any air escaping from the lamp get filtered... In a basic setup the air sucked thru the leaks of the lamp isn’t filtered, so you can get smells.

    • @harryramsbottom1385
      @harryramsbottom1385 7 місяців тому

      the first setup is sucking in air so if the light leaks at the seams it will pull in smelly unfiltered air and then blow it outside the tent

    That fan system is almost useless the way it is set up..! Every 90% bend loses 50% of your airflow..! You should definitely refine your hose layout.

      Hey, if you dont care about any odors coming out of your garden then you dont need a carbon filter, it pretty much is for 1 thing only - odor control and they can be a huge help with that. Thanks for watching. Gary
