Not quite fix it, but I recall seeing a mod that makes those big waves compressed, in essence one raider is worth ten kinda thing. Not quite everyone’s cup of tea and I don’t even know if it’s been updated but it would help reduce lag. Edit: Checked, it has been continued
@@JoshMo1993 they seem to have taken small steps toward multi-threading for 1.5, it's only rendering though, so it won't fix low TPS in the endgame, but who knows, maybe step by step they'll rewrite this game. in, like, 5 years, optimistically...

Rimworld is amazing and terrifying. 300+ enemy raid, lasts roughly a minute without any friendly injuries. Good lord.
He is using Combat Extended, which in general makes weapons more potent, which can either hurt or help you, depending on which side of it you are.

i'm amazed that the game didn't choke to death
From what I've read Rimworld only uses one CPU core and that's why the performance tanks. But yeah, I've had raids that dropped the FPS to 5.

That is the "Rocket Swarm" turret. They are in the Combat Extended mod.

"Winston Waves" is a storyteller mod. It sends regular raids and when you defeat that raid you get to choose a reward. Its fun.
