i live in brazil and here things are a bit expensive and i am a novice collector, and my first figure was original and it was the spider man armor Mk1 i was very satisfied and soon i wanted to buy more for my collection, so just to be able to have more a figure I bought the Symbiont Bootleg and I was watching the video and from the seller that I bought it is really well done, the box the only difference that you can see is that the bootleg color is a little darker and the only problem with the my figure is the drawing of the spider which is not like the original but other than that it is very well done even the head is not hollow inside so I am satisfied and soon I will start buying more figures and if possible original (before anyone questions why i got the spider mk1 is because in 3 stores i went all the spiders were out of stock only other marvel heroes and spider villains were available and luckily i found the spider mk1 at the very bottom of the shelf.) great video my friend signed me up.
given how new the figure is i wouldnt say its a boot leg but more like a factory surplus , the factories in china make more copies than needed on purpose so they can sell what ever is left and also the ones that dont make the cut in quality control, which is why most of these are loose in some places or have molding defects
The defects are consistent though, that's why to me they are bootleg. If they were surplus with poor qc, then the flaws would be random, but the flaws are consistent among these, so I'd consider them bootleg and not rejects or surplus.
@@Stillfigurineout yes mine had all the ussues you mentioned, i did very minimal repainting and soaking the fig on hot water for a min fixed the issue on the ahoulders but other than that this fig is almost imposible to see if it was legit or not

The bootleg was super cheap on AliExpress, so I bought it recently with the intent of replacing the broken elbow with the bootleg one, but depending on how good this bootleg is, I might as well use it as my main display piece.
I was gonna buy my ML off of AliExpress but after hearing some stuff before I made my purchase, I just threw in the towel and faced that the real stuff is more expensive but better
Only ways to fix loose joints on this and Ben Reilly is to crack open and add some glue. I'm pretty sure that also how you can fix drop joints. Just need more free money to spend on these KOs.
Once again i appreciate your review and wonderful camera work but don't know why you are not pointing out the obvious difference: the spider legs on the side of the ribs of the bootleg doesn't go down diagonally as much as the genuine one. You don't need to look under the arms to see that the lines are cut off around the armpit area. It doesn't even stretch down to the bottom of the chest piece.

I gave some of my Marvel Legends away including this figure to a neighbor who is a single mom for her kid and the kid was very happy. But then after a while I was like I really like that figure that I give away. I ended up getting the bootleg which I assumed was the bootleg off of eBay. Got it for 20 bucks so I'm pretty sure it was a bootleg as to the real original was like going for 50 bucks or so. My bootleg is perfect nothing wrong with him. At first I wasn't sure if he was a bootleg but I only guessed because of the price. Everything the original can do and has the bootleg can also do. I did have several doddert pieces from the original and they also fit on the bootleg like I can change the hands and the head and everything fits The drop down it's perfect everything's perfect He has tight joints and not loose. The only thing that I can point out regarding this video to tell that it's a blue lake is the bottom of the logo is hidden a bit under the side area on the front and back
I love being sold a figure labeled as legit and then finding out it’s fake through UA-cam lol. Can’t even trust sellers anymore with this kinda stuff happening. Worst part? I paid $45 for it
@@Stillfigurineout eBay, the lister didn’t mention it being fake so I just assumed it was legit since the packaging looked normal. The paint job gives it away. The bottom of the spider on the front is clipping into the bottom of the body
I'm honestly more confused than ever after watching this video. I bought a copy off Ebay that I was 99% sure was real after watching a bunch of videos, but now I'm not so sure. My lower part of the spider logo is SLIGHTLY cut off by the hips..... but that's the ONLY tell of the figure being fake when compared to here. Head isn't hollow, hands have the same peg as the official here, all my joints are tight, and everything on the card checks out as official as well aside from the texture (Even the card quality is thicker and doesn't show the bubble outline.) At this point I don't think I'll never know 100% if it's real, fake, or a factory reject cause the paint was off on the torso (which is where I kinda lean), but I'm still very happy with the figure.
Is it possible that the KO figures are not necessarily ko’s but are defective figs that didn’t make the cut because of slight defects and are suppose to get discarded or repurposed but maybe the workers take them and just sell them on their own… just curious
Some ppl say that, but I disagree. How can there be many of the figures with the same defect? These bootleg are like 'photocopied' versions of the original and mass produce imo, thays why their differences with the original is mostly consistent

I think guy on aliexpress watching your videos. The package now is identical with hole on M and some details that shows on your videos now it's much more identical. I bought one for USD13 and in theory should be fake however I can't identify the torso lose, the spider mark, package. It's exactly like your original, even the english manual. The only difference was the handle plastic shape and inside the head.

That's a terrible bootleg, IMO. The super loose ab-crunch would be a definite deal breaker all on its own. But all of the paint problems with the spider logo and the useless drop down hips make it even worse. Glad I have the original. BTW, love the way you use a Spidey arm as a pointer. LOL

i bought the KO one because the original is insane expensive now and tbh the bootleg is top quality

The bootleg just arrived. It is good enough and I was able to replace the elbow joint without a hassle.

So it's original. That gap also exist on the original if you pull down the drop down hinge joint at the crotch.

My ko copy can move the drop down hips independently but the ab crunch on mine is put on backwards
