Based on information from online Chinese collector community, there are three factories who made bootleg spider-men based on this mold. Factory A made the earlier retro spiderman and symbiote spiderman, both are very close to the legit one because this factory is very experienced in action figure production. However they seems decided stop making bootleg spider-men with this mold anymore because some people sold their bootleg as legit one which could get the factory into trouble. The bootleg Ben Reilly and symbiot spiderman you have are from the factory B, as their hanging hole of the package is in the center. Factory B's quality is worse than factory A but the worst ones are from factory C which can easily break. Currently there is another low quality bootleg retro spiderman not from Factory A, not sure if it’s from factory B or C since they can change the package easily.

However I have just seen a cheaper retro Spidey going around since last week (the one I got was quite expensive), and even another one which has the knees in red.
@@Stillfigurineout I found those information on baidu tieba “marvel玩具”. IIRC Chinese collectors started talking aout the KO retro spidey since May and there are many posts about this topic ever since.

Thank you for your video. I just bought the figurine that turned out to be a bootleg. The most interesting thing is that it has all the same signs of a fake as shown in your video.
There is another seller on Ali express who sells this figure but that one seems to be legit, I bought it and it feels just like the original. It doesn't have the same issues like the one in the video.
Just bought Ben Reiily. I was 50% lucky, got bootleg, but the quality was more close to original, than the bootleg in the video. From the first comparation, I even thought it was original Hasbro, but then i saw blue neck peg (and the package was EXACTLY like the original). Then i found some more "not original" things. It was cheap though, so for its price is okay i guess... Anyway, thank you for your videos, they help!

These things are fixable as long as you know how to custom. Except for the difference #8 I guess. Thinking of getting 2 of them. 1 is for superior Spider-man custom
Hello.Figures are expensive in the country we are in. Can loosely articulated figures be exposed? While an original and boxed figure is 1300-1400 units in our country, we can sometimes find around 450-500 units with box and sometimes without box on aliexpress. Do you have any advice on this?
@sher6594 late reply, i got black retro spidey ko, and while being disappointed at first, i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it, i think it's quite perfect and the most important factor in this ko is the lack of detailed paint necessary its just black with few white symbols. The not symbiote ones Ko'a probably gonna look pretty bad irl, at least due to crappy web paint application
I can somewhat understand people buying the first retro Spider-Man bootleg since the authentic version is extremely expensive on the secondary market but why buy the bootleg Sensational Spider-Man when you can still get him for retail price on Amazon or the secondary market?
I'm just comparing in case some people buy them from the secondary market, you never know if you come across a bootleg that the seller is trying to pass off as original. And yeah definitely for now amazon is still one of the best source while the figure is still available.

But the box and the figure look like the original. The only bad thing is the quality.
