So beautiful. We don't celebrate Herb Ellis enough. Technique, swing, phrasing, harmonic and melodic imagination -- he had it all. Oh, and your transcription is world class!
Superbly swinging. Glad I got to see Herb two nights in a row with the Great Guitars (Byrd and Kessell). They swung the heck out of the Flintstones Theme (written by Herb). This live Days of Wine and Roses is brilliant. Thank you for transcribing.
You are insane at transcribing. And your taste is impeccable. You are singlehandedly improving the jazz guitar community with these transcriptions. THANK YOU FRANCOIS!
Thanks for the score and video. Been waiting for years to have this comfort level. As an old man it's great to sit in the studio with audio and charts in sync.
Wonderfull, but still waiting for the transcription of TWITCHY ( Jerry Reed ) in the solo version from Richard Smith, nice challenge for you , dear Francois.

very good material for study ..must be work ! thanks !
Has anyone ever seen the episode of Sanford and Son, where Herb Ellis played a Christmas song while accompanying Redd Foxx? If not you should check it out.
Nice transcription. It seems a lot of transcriptions on YT display a lack of "enharmonics smarts" (when to use sharps or flats). This often presents the sight reader with more of a challenge (not always a bad thing) but is still awkward. Also wish there was more diligent proof-reading too as some of these transcriptions are loaded with errors (e.g. bar 34 octaves are written as major 7ths - Eb's should be D's; bar 198 rhythm is displaced, etc. etc. ). So much work went into this, why not go that extra mile?

Thanks... but yes this one have pretty bad notation. I'm doing 5+ of these per months so there are inevitably some mistakes here and there. Also this is an old one, the notation have been corrected since and I'm getting better with every transcriptions. You will not find these enharmonic errors in my recent transcriptions and the files on my website have all been corrected. Thanks for the Q. Cheers!
Hello francois, i got one question bro. Will you ever do or plan on doing the transcription to Someone to watch over me - played on Joey B's wedding? Thanks a lot btw
