Last year, during summer, I had a blast playing through FF16 right when it launched. I was taking Intermediate 1 as a summer class and the experience of living by myself, studying, and playing the game are things that I wish I could do again. However, those were good times that I can’t go back to. All I can do is continue onwards and I believe there will be better times to come.
Ahh finally someone uploaded this! 😭🥹was literally searching for this track earlier today and couldn’t find a single video of it, searched again just now and found it. My goodness this is such a beautiful OST especially that whole first minute, my favorite part
I connect a very bitter decision and heartache with this theme. Around the time that I came across this song, I decided to break up with my long-time girlfriend. It got stuck in my head. Specifically the flute part, which is hauntingly beautiful. It will always remind me of the pain I inflicted on that day.
Wow. I'm surprised to read a comment that feels like it was taken directly from my own thoughts. Just a year after release I've found myself coming back to this game again. I also lost someone I deeply cared about around the time of this game's release and I buried myself in it's world to avoid even thinking about the grief I felt. This song still makes my chest tighten, but the world feels less lonely knowing I'm not the only one.
I adore the callback to the very old FF games in this music, where it kicks in at around 0:26 Has a very FFII sound to me, if that's the reference and it's not just me I appreciate it.
Soken nailed the soundtrack of this game. Only bad point : not enough memorable themes, compared to the plethora AND the quality we had before with Uematsu. But still, quality over quantity is the way to go. Nice Job Mr Soken.
Its actually hard for me to agree. I keep finding myself searching through and it seems though no one loves the whole OST in it's entirety. Every song has a small following of those who love it.
@@iaxacs3801 I however kinda agrees with you 😅 but personally I would put it like this : some themes are already "pure gold, FF approved tracks" to me, and the OST as a whole is very solid, while lacking diversity and that spark of identity/originality. With serious missteps (all the experimental electro BS). This soundtrack has some pieces that are undoubtedly reminiscent of the golden era from an "orchestration" and "ambient" point of view (I hear a lot of 8 and 10 in those, mostly) and that has an appeal to me. But as I said, it lacks of enough memorable and unique themes. Many repetitions I agree with that. To be honest, I like the coherence this game as a whole has, and this is the case for the OST too, despite its kinda "safe/sometimes lazy" way of delivering, this experience as a whole is complete to me. And that is just... satisfying and very enjoyable, giving me hope for the series...After the FF15 PTSD I had to endure (in spite of Shimomura's awesome tracks too)
@@jogymogy3691 well, after heavy listening, this OST is eventually... god like, especially for a modern game i insist on that. We don't expect less from a FF game. The ensemble is coherent, nostalgic, epic (understatement), has an identity, multiple palettes that connect. Recurring good themes, rearrangements etc..and variety in the tone and melodies. in the end, I would put the "FF gold standard" for some very specific themes that are.. so damn well composed and fitting the full "FF" vibe (stillwind, darkwoods, the lullaby... are soooo reminiscent of the old uematsu tracks) plus all the fucking awesome opera tracks this game is full of, make it very high quality overall. To summerize : rectify part of what I said : soken nailed it 100% (to my humble opinion).
Has kind of an FFIX vibe. This game way exceeded my expectations. A Final Fantasy game that actually felt like Final Fantasy. Medieval style. The way I like the series personally.
Could you perhaps upload the two Velkroy desert themes? One which plays when you arrove and lofi version which plays at later parts of that map. Not the primogenesis one. Also Waloed field theme of you can. That one's so beautiful too! Nobody uploaded those 3 yet.
Nier vibes through the roof with this one and I won't complain!
My thoughts exactly!
Can imagine the Amusement Park vocals mixing well with this song
@@lowhp_comic I was more thinking about the library song in replicant, but it also might work with the amusement park

Beautiful
I needed this comment! Thank you friend and FF16 lover.
Incredible sense of nostalgia while listening to this, specially when the trumpets kick in.
This track stucks in your head for a while and it's perfect for a morning coffee with birds chirping 🐦☕🌅
Halfway through the game, this is probably my favorite song so far
Same here. Very beautiful music tbh
Same. I have it set as the hideaway music
First part and 1:18 are my favourite.
This song captures such a weird feeling in me
Ridiculously good track, intro and arrangement. . . gosh
So far this one and stillwind are my favorite tracks
Such a calm music for a world full of sadness and cruelty 😢 love it so much
Such a beautiful track. Listening to it makes me think it would be a perfect fit for Elpis ost in 14, it has that vibe
This reminds me of FFXIII soundtrack. Very futuristic yet mysterious

SAME, BRO.
Sameeeee!!!!
My favorite track by far. It’s so soothing, also this track is called “Histoire” in the jukebox at the Hideaway
Love this track so much. Kinda reminds me of song of the ancients/Popola from Nier.
My thoughts exactly!
Absolute god tier track hope the official ost comes out soon
Spring 2024….D
@@davidvazquez5657 it comes out july 19th. thankfully not too far.
@@FatheROSaS oh great! But the OST in physic more late
This and the piece that plays in South Dhalmekia are some of my favorites and it’s so sad they’re not used at all in the last 3rd of the game.
2:10- end is flawless 🙌🏾🙌🏾. It’s been in my head all day.
this theme is godly, FF XIII-2 vibes but still unique and really interesting transition
I thought that too😂.

Only place I could find this track. Thanks
A happy little song
Valeu por colocar no youtube! Ainda não achei ela no Spotify
I never really noticed how beautiful this sounded, usually I just sprint past this area 😅
This sound so much like FFXIII and I absolutely love it.
Anyone know if there’s an Orchestrion Roll for this track? Would love it in the Hideout
I'd love to know as well
@joceja23 Name?
It is located by the shop in Lostwing. Take the stairs, climb the ladder and you will find a chest.
0:26 is godly
Giving me The Whereabouts of Light vibes from Trails in the Sky
Love it
Best OST in the game
2:08 reminds me Tomorrow and tomorrow
Kholusia
I found it!!! Thank you for posting this great one.

What heavenly music. Is there a way to turn off regular combat music in the field so I can keep hearing this while smacking at enemies?
Reminds me Searching from friends from ff6

Yeah Find The Flame isn’t memorable at all 🤡
Yea, this score is not the best in the series. I had high hopes for it. Yasunori Nishiki would be my pick for 17

Aw shit this fucking slaps bruh
Is your pfp from the ff15 title screen? Lol
@@nin64 Yep~
It's a shame that it is not in the official soundtrack released
I think they didn't include this one on the OST...
Reminds me of that forest chrono cross track at the beginning
My favorite song until I got to Lostwing.
does anyone have the OST for the royal meadows?
Can definitely upload it when I get to there
witcher 3 vibes
You need to listen to more music.
