I literally do this about twice a week, except brush them. I'm almost 10 months in 🎉. I read that brushing helps to remove lint. I need to do this.

YOU BRUSH. are you sure I have never heard of this. I’m currently on my second set and I have had them for 9 years. Moisturizing is a big thing for me I will try rose water
I have been loc’d a little over 3 years and have recently started brushing my locs. I use a soft boars brush. I researched loc brushing and of course some say you shouldn’t and others say the opposite. I went with what I feel works for me and I love it. My locs have responded very positively. I don’t brush them every day though. Right now more like once a week. I think this also helps me to check for any lint or any changes in my locs.
Now this girl know damn well I wasn't looking at no damn locs. HAH FINE AHH

Im really thinking of cutting my locs my mom doesn't put in the money to get me hair products etc 😢
You don't necessarily need products for your locs. Maybe get some aloe vera juice and a light oil to keep your locs moisturized. I don't oil my locs because my fine hair can't handle it but I use a very light moisturizing leave in spray conditioner. I also make tea rinses for my hair and add marshmallow root to my tea as it cools. My hair remains moisturized but not weighed down. Hope that's helpful.
Is it advisable to oil my locs everyday?
no no noo unless you have a dry scalp or not enough sebum being produced, i don’t advise you to do that! it can cause buildup and dandruff !!! every 3-4 days is better 👍

Locs only look good when people take care of them. Not when they are dry
