The Ready Player One soundtrack was for A Levels. Although I’m glad you gave the disclaimer that you didn’t study much 😅

Loving this video. Never seen a UA-camr in this community tackle this.
I always get distracted and like yourself start a comic or novel and then the next day trail off and want to read something else. Sometimes I've had 5 books on the go at once and I end up not finishing any of them. Same with gaming also.
I mean ever since I was a kid in early school i was behind other students and struggled to be able to even read until one day something clicked and fell in love with the hobby. That and my parents were a massive support. They rock😄
But saying that, recently taken a step back since I started having seizures and the last year was diagnosed with epilepsy. My memory is really awful. I can remember things clearly from 5 years ago instantly but sometimes have to reread something I just read a few minutes ago as It doesn't sink in. TBH I fell out of the hobby for about 6 months because of this.
Did a little research and it is common with epileptics and the side effects of the mediation. So its something I'll probably have to live with the rest of my life. But trying to tackle the problem by reading more regularly and feel recently I have been improving. I'm starting to look forward to reading again which is massive for me.
But your video has made me think maybe I have a form of ADD also, just never really realised, I can relate and have always had similar experiences to yourself when reading..🤔
I'm going to try some of your suggestions and see if they work for me.👍
Cheers Cade. I apologise if I went on too long😄

No need to apologise Stephen. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it helped. I’m sorry to hear about the epilepsy but hopefully everything is okay now. Happy reading 😊

Great tips. I totally agree about breaking the reading up in sections. That helps me alot. It helps me remember what I just read. Great video bro.

Interesting subject! I've been considering some kind of fidget toy to use while I work, as I'm too easily distracted by my phone or a million other things, and so I think that might help me focus.

Hey Richard. Yeah I’ve found it useful at times but can still be easily distracted

I know the feeling. I typically avoid TV by turning it off. Also, I try to read back and forth between omni, tpb and digital. Well light room helped, but I still use a headlamp to read regularly. I usually try to read one story arc a time, then break in between. If story arc is awesome, I will continue, but if not, chance it will go in toss box for sale lol.

Thanks for letting me know what helps you. I’ll try to implement some of those tactics in my own reading. Hope you enjoyed the video 😊

This was a nice different video for me breaking down books by arc or issue is a big key for me and especially if I want to read multiple books, another thing is your damn phone just don’t have it next to you the amount of times I read one issue then pick up my phone, to scroll on Instagram for minutes to realise that time could have been for reading.

Yeah I’ve been there before when I end up scrolling for hours whilst I’m mid-page haha
