Hey Big Swede, he was just telling you you are #1! I work with our road department and we get talked about, abused and put down. But when they want something done to their road, then we are the good folks. I thank you and all the farmers for all you do to feed us. Thank you!
Hey Chet. Tough harvesting conditions could lead to a lot of frayed nerves and heated arguments but the love you have for your father (and vice versa) is a testament of everything that is good. Thanks for sharing your harvest experiences with all of us. Take care and be safe Chet.
After watching all the farming videos, I definitely have become friendlier to guys working. Earlier this year, I met a tractor with a sprayer on the back in the middle of our country road, and I just found an approach and waited for him to go by. He gave me a big wave, and I waved back. It took less than 30 seconds, and he got off the road and back to work quicker.
People who don’t respect the farmers drive me crazy….I will stop and pull over so our farmers can get by safely and on with their day, I appreciate all the long days and nights y’all go through ~ keep on keepin on 👍🏻🚜🇺🇸
a lot of people these days are hateful entitled a-holes. never you mind. i appreciate you and am in awe of how hard you work. I have learned that NOBODY works harder than a farmer.
@@bobw1710 yeah sure guy, come try it in the busy seasons. Tell me how you fair out by the way hours for me anyway are 6:00am-3:00am every day of the week in the spring and fall. Don’t knock a job when you don’t have a clue what it entails. It’s not all sitting in cabs and auto steer.
I mean why if you eat food why the hell give the people that feed your hind end grief? Without farmers that douchebag twat waffle wouldn't even be alive today.
there’s more to farming than riding around all day in a tractor i’ve done roofing in my younger days and it does suck on hot days but we do all our own construction and building grain bins in the heat is way worse dealing with all that hot shiny metal plus sorting hogs and power washing hog barns every couple weeks is no cake walk either at 4:00 inthe morning so you can get back to harvest or planting it’s not always the hardest work but the long hours do wear on a man
Weather has been pretty terrible here in Illinois as well. Some farmers have involuntary beans coming up because they can't get into the fields. I bought a stump bucket for my tractor and haven't bothered uncrating it because it's so wet. If the precipitation keeps up as temps drop this year will be one for the records.
great job to the Larson family. All of you who has to fight the mud and dryers thank you for hanging in there, Thank you for taking us alone for the ride.
The day you posted this a Storm came thru the central valley of California dumped 2inch+ of rain so get ready here it comes hope you got all your harvest in cause it going to get worse be careful be safe.
I've been to Scotland in the summer and the weather would pass for winter in Australia. It was very cold in Glasgow, yet the tour guide just wore a long-sleeved shirt on the top deck of a bus, while we had virtually everything we owned on and still had to thaw out in a coffee shop afterwards.
@@deaddoll1361 Aye It’s no place for the old. Fifth day of rain today, another four forecast. We are absolutely soaked standing water everywhere and below 5C overnight just not cold enough to freeze. It will not get above 14C now until next Spring during the day so won’t dry up properly until it does freeze. Which is getting later now probably late Nov early Dec, used to be frosts in October when I was a kid in the 70s.
Eric, the way to look at that is they are really telling you that your number one. I used to help a farmer do silage corn and drove an old side dump with a detroit. I was constantly getting people telling me I was number 1!!!!! I really felt good at the end of every day, How rewarding!!!
Couple years back fire department were hosing off the blacktop roads. You needed to shovel the step coming and going out of tractors. Mud was heavy a ripped wires right off.
Here. In central Kentucky the roads are narrow an when we move we back them up pretty far we are aways number one with grand ma all the way to the grand kids we just 😊
I drove tour bus for 28 yrs then semi for my last 10 before retirement. The bird wasn’t something we had to deal with in the early years but became more prevalent in latter years. My story involves a young female who was super impatient and told me I was number one, so I blew her a kiss. Don’t think that made her day any better, but it sure brightened mine.
Great. Job Erik takes a real man to walk away from an idiot. What goes around comes around. I’m sure most of us understand that u aren’t in the road to piss off idiots, although it’s not a bad thought. appreciate the job all of you are doing. Stay cool.
Dont worry Eric i am a 21 year county snow plow driver in central Mn when we are plowing i get the big #1 several times a day i think the people think i make it snow i am pretty good but not that good i only move it so dont think you are special buddy have a great day be safe.
That's one muddy mess. It's hard on equipment too. 2013 was a bad spring and fall. I was ready to call it quits at the end of the season. Bad was we didn't have suitable weather to clean anything up. That was one big mess in the spring
Erik, I have that same food warmer. works great! this is my second harvest with it. plug it in about 9 am and you'll have a hot lunch at 12. just watch what is underneath it, it gets pretty warm.
I use a 2qt crock pot in the semi. My wife cans soup in pints. Fold a paper towel in 1/2 twice. Put it in the bottom with about 1/2" of water. It will heat up the soup in the jar in a couple of hours. Works excellent.. I also use the little bungee cords to hold the lid on, also stops the rattle.
I can't believe how wet it is there. I'm about 50-60 miles north of you & it is a little wet but nothing like you guys have. Hope you can get your corn finished before any more moisture shows up.
Sorry to hear you're fighting the mud guys! We just finished the last of our dry hay last week has spent the last few days cleaning machinery and putting things away. Sometime late this week early next we'll get the combine ready and the picker ready yes we still pick on the 🌽 here's some hoping by birthday in November to be in the field with the corn harvest just catching up on maintenance and so on now before we went for the last hitch of the year. Stay safe boys!
Last year in SW Michigan we had to unload in the road. I actually had someone flip their brights at me wanting me to get out of the way while loading the truck. Let’s just say it took a little longer to load the truck and get back in the field that time. 👍🤣
Big Swede. If I came across you guys blocking the road your big problem with me would be finding a place I could park so I could join you to work for the day.
I deal with a lot of impatient people everyday, try working on a RR crossing, you learn to ignore everyone unless they get out of their vehicles then I just leave and leave the crossing down.
I had this entitlement issue in the retail industry for decades. Not much u can do about it but I’ve always thought that they just need to leave a little bit earlier but noooo it’s all about them. Many times I would just slow down just to irritate them more. Made my day!

Big swed I got a story for you our farm is a cow calf operation and we on property on both sides of the highway so we got to move them so we got to shut down the highway so the sheriff comes out and helps us well they're both an unmarked pickup trucks and these two guys in a pickup they were just being total a holes and you just had to see their face when the sheriff that believe stepped out of that truck and they got a few tickets but I don't know why people's got to be like that you know they don't understand Farmers supply their food it wasn't for a farmer the world will go to hell you think a city person can grow corn or raise cows I don't know but great job guys keep safe during the harvest and God bless you
I think the most interesting thing following your channel is how different the weather and soil conditions are from Kentucky. Oh, and the accents! Enjoyable video!
😂😂😂 That opening… “We found more mud.” as the mud tracks are in frame behind him. 😂🤣😂. If you can’t have fun while you’re working, you’re doing it wrong.
For Eric: #1.haters gotta hate just smile and wave #2 if you're not having fun don't be grinning so much after you wallow thru a pond 🤙🤣 . Stay safe out there Larson Farms 👍🇺🇸
Hi Doug, what helps a bad knee, is a heating pad, because it brings more blood to that area than ice. Both my knees are gone, with bone spurs, almost zero cartilage, and i have had acl reconstruction after many month's of comp jacking me around. One thing that happens right away, is water on the knee, which they don't tell you. I refuse steroids, because in the end, it will lower your immune system. I could tell you about my gran, who used over the counter cortisone for psoriasis, and she had a minor surgery, and what happened after was a nightmare for a kid. God bless.
Everyone should have a big heart like the Big Swede. God Bless you.

You need to find an old firetruck and some hose. Use it to pre- clean everything before going into wash bay
