I love the sped up drone footage. You can't beat watching a group of people that know what they are doing at work. They make it look so easy and elegant.

That time lapse drone footage was one of the coolest shots. I’ve seen in recent memory. It really helped illustrate the process of what Landmark construction was doing out there.

I live 10min from the site and none of us locals want the plant there. Between the insane traffic, destruction of roads, and the amount of building going on in the small town it is crazy. The county destroyed a quiet community it's for greed.

That drone time-lapse made the construction equip look like ants!
It'd be amazing to see a full full time lapse of that 100 feet of dirt. Like 1 or 2 pictures a day over however many months it takes them!

10:04 It's not so much the "top loading", sometimes you have no choice but to "top load" (I call it loading on level ground) to get certain jobs done or getting the last bit of stock pile loaded out. I'm more concerned about the truck behind the truck getting loaded that's at a stop fully loaded. Why can't he go around or they set that up any other way then having a fully loaded truck stopped when it should be hauling ass to the dump site. I see the dozer is making a pass but its in the way. I'd have my haul roads wide enough to pass if not a 2 lane for clusters or return hauls. I use "top loading" term as top loading a scraper or something that needs top loading like a dump truck..lol. What the operator was doing here was just loading a truck from level ground. All dump trucks are top loaded weather its below you or same level as.

I live in South Carolina and that project is in the middle part of the state, closer to the ocean, so a lot sandier materiel, "junky" materiel types compared to other, doesn't matter where you dig down your going to have to mix dirt at some point or another, very little clay compared to the upstate of SC where I'm from. Honestly shocked there not doing soil cement or some kind of soil stabilization on that project, unless it just wasn't shown.

With all the closed auto plants in the US I find it strange that any company would need to build a new one. Wonder why. Could it be the massive amount of money SC is spending to bring the plant there? Lower cost non union labor? Whole new towns being built to house all these people. Is it like a Ponzi scheme? Ignore already built infrastructure to keep building.

Yawn. Not even funny how many more decades we’ll be using diesel - not batteries - and ignores how we need to mine as much, say copper, in the next twenty years as all of mankind has ever dug up. Over all time. Then, we do it all over again to maintain and expand assumed growth not even built in to our plans and budgets today. None of the ‘green’ preening is believable.
