  • For some reason, I find that purple buttercream always ends up on the grey side. I find that when I make my own purple colour, I get better results. In this video I show you all the combinations of mixing your own purples which you can then apply to cakes, cupcakes and other desserts!
    Enjoy!

This is great thank you! how would you go about darkening these even more? more food dye? adding black? ive heard adding black kind of just "kills" the colour, and im assuming more food dye will just make it more intense (and slightly darker and richer) but not very dark?

Thank you for this tutorial, does these colours develop over time? Get darker? And do you recommend the microwave technic to activate the colours?

So if you want to make a periwinkle buttercream you would add more of the teal and hot pink or what¿?

Only when I'm flavouring the buttercream and it turns the colour naturally
