I think the thing is your viewers have grown up with you. I’m 24 and been watching you for literally 10 years. I also feel like people watch UA-camrs for their personality and for THEM instead of their actual content. I’m not a mother but I still watch videos from people that making motherhood videos because I enjoy watching them as a family and I’ve been on that journey with them.

Honestly, this is the bulk of people who “grew up” with you on UA-cam. We were all in college and not quite grown but still trying to learn. We’re all moms and married now with kids and new, bigger jobs. I think this is great, because like you, we’ve all lived in apartments, traveled the country at least twice, and have experienced all the ups and down of becoming an adult. I know not everyone can relate to this, but people who were in that same time frame can totally appreciate this modulation. Everyone’s gotta grow up sometime, and it kinda feels like a long distance friendship where we keep up with each other. I will be looking forward to this new transition. I used to watch your videos when I was in high school. Now I too am married, own my home and have my son so the fact that you are rebranding is so exciting because I no longer watch beauty videos the way I used to. I watch lifestyle, mom vlogs, home decor etc. I love that you are transforming in the same way because you have always been my absolute favorite youtuber and i will LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos as I always have loved them before.

Dear Elle, I've been watching your videos from the very beginning. I was a very young teen and learned everything about makeup from you and Blair, but like you I've grown up and other things have become important in life. I would have really understood if you never wanted to come back to UA-cam, but I have to say I'm very excited about the new things I will learn from your new content!
Honestly, once upon a time I was single and without children and I used to watch make up and style videos all the time. Now, as I've grown, I find that the youtubers I used to watch have grown as well and I relate to their content more at this point. I like lifestyle videos, organization, decluttering, and of course just living life with kids. It's an organic change and I really don't think anyone will mind - your audience I'm sure have grown with you! Have fun with it! And James is super, super cute :)

Love this! Like most of your followers, I’ve been with you since the very beginning or close to it and we’re all older now too and many of us in the same stage of life as you so this rebrand is much more relevant to most of us. So glad you’re back and happy to continue watching 😊. You can tell when youtubers lose their passion because it shows in their content, so I think it’s great you took a long break to really evaluate what you what and if you wanted to come back at all.
