- One of the scariest things is a Subnautica reaper leviathan attack. Follow my advice and tips on how to never sink a cyclops. I can keep the reaper leviathan from destroying your cyclops. I can keep your cyclops, mobile base, completely safe. This how to on the subnautica cyclops will keep it from getting destroyed, no one wants it to sink. I hope this short tutorial or guide will help you. You definitely don't want to have your subnautica cyclops destroyed. Please enjoy my subnautica gameplay, and check out my other videos too. Don't get your subnautica cyclops destroyed.

There is, in fact, a much, MUCH easier way, and don't ever use decoys, they are a waste.
1. If you see anything close to you, or see a yellow dot on the radar, shut off the engines. When the engines are off, the cyclops is basically invisible to any creature.
2. If you see a red dot or a reaper coming in for the attack, there's a few things you can do. The 2 most effective plays are to either switch the shields on just before the attack (then turn them off right after), or just tank the hit, the cyclops is MUCH tougher than it seems, it can take a good 8 or more hits from a reaper before sinking.
3. After that, wait for it to leave, or step on the gas while the reaper is on cooldown.
Also, the horn and floodlights dont alert anything, they are purely visual, the only way a cyclops can alert stuff is with the sound of its engine. In fact, you should see a blue bubble around the cyclops on the radar that indicates how far the engine's noise travel.
*writes it down*
Bro I love you
Just step out and use your stasis gun. Back inside and go away. Vehicles are a liability, they're only any good for carrying stuff, mining, provide o2, and in the case of the seamoth, speed.
if a leviathan attacks my cyclops, i'll just kill it. how dare him attack my best vehicle LOL
Exactly
Pull out your stasis rifle and knife or prawn suit lol
Best vehicle is a repulsion cannon and air bladder and you know that.
@@Midget32Those arnt vehicles dumbass
I would do exactly the same
project steel: so,1 way is decoy and 2nd is get out of the cyclops and lure it away
me:save before going anywhere easy as that
LOL very true!
Be a man and forget to save!
Wait I commented wth I don't even remember watching this video before huhhh
I just kill any leviathans with my prawn suit whenever I seen one. Before they even attack my cyclops, they're already dead lol
I have tried killing them with the prawn suit, but have never been successful.
All I do is turn off my engine and every stops bothering me. I brought my cyclops all the way down to the lava caves and sea dragons was easy to avoid. I never used my decoys even once. I used the silent run a lot though.
Awesome! I always get a little scared and fire the decoys.
14:00 i think they have different biomes zone, after you traspassing they not get there
Do you need to shoot 2 decoys or can you get away with 1?
1 usually works.
Do the Leviathans respawn?
Or is it possible to kill them all?
They are all killable and minus void gh0st leviathans dont respawn
@@angelwest2398 Most Excellent!
Thanks for the response!
You would think this video will have a lot of veiws
easiest way is to just turn off the engine get out and fix it. When the engine is off everything stops attacking reapers included and if you have a reinforced dive suit it takes a reaper three hits to actually kill you and they don't attack very quickly so its easy to just get out and fix the thing.
I didnt know that!
@@project-steelI’m assuming you could also wait for it to go away then turn it to engine setting 1
@@bimmer-777 Yes, but where is the fun in that?
@@project-steel Iron lung vibes
Stasis gun ftw. Every single time.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot. I found myself not using cyclops because of fear I might lose it
I'm glad it helps.
I need to know if it's the same with a ghost leviathan cause I'm in the blood kelp some and there is one right above me
@@coolbub1 It should work the same. I stocked up on power cells and went through that with part with shields on. Went through Lost River all the way to Giant Cove Tree where I used it as a base. Stick to side of wall on the left and employ shields as necessary. Ghost didn't even went for me.
@kornisonkiseli3248 good to know
My concern is the Sea Dragon, which attacks your cyclops parked empty outside lava castle. This is a problem.
That is true! I either kill the dragon or don't take the cyclops deep enough into the lava zone. I usually leave it in the tunnel coming from the ghost tree, in the lava zone, but not yet into the open area.
i just leave my cyclops up in the lost river and drop into the lava zone with the prawn usually.
I have two cyclopsis one goes as far as the Lost River and the other one is pretty much go wherever the f*** I want do whatever the f*** I want
@@Mel0D Thats exactly what I did. Left mine at the lost river entrance. Packed some extra food water and extra power cells and did that journey in the prawn suit. And boy did I need it, because I got lost in the lava zone and that darn Sea Dragon was on my a**. 😂 I eventually found the way and got the cure. Prawn suit is tough.
For me silent running and turning off everything works
I dont know why but hey
Some condensed advice
1. Turn off the engine: everything ignores you, and you can never take any damage
2. The shield : the shield even cancels crush depth damage with a spare 6 ion cells+ the 6 in the engine, she can reach -8192 in the void (the teleport barrier bottom)
3. Speed: the cyclops at max speed is just about fast enough to escape minor threats
I just push back the leviathan on full speed until it overheats Then I deploy a distraction and make a run for it Cause there ain't no way I'm losing anything not my life not my Cyclops not my seamoth
And another thing I'm way too scared To get out of my Cyclops At least without a sea moth cuz the prawn suit will just sink
I agree, we can't let the leviathan's win!
You can avoid being attacked by any leviathan by slow silent running. They can't see you. The void leviathan can always see you in tbe void however.
okay so basically you can either save before you go anywhere or atleast somewhere dangerous and leave then come back, or use the decoy strat, or use the go out one (i saw a comment saying if you use the reenforced diving suit the reaper kills you in 3 hits and has a big hit cooldown) and lure him away or anything else, and i have heard about another that if you turn off the engine they stop attacking for some reason but im not sure if its true
I don't know about turning off the engine, but I'd like to know if that works. I feel like mine has been attacked when I wasn't in it, but I don't remember if the engine was on.
@@project-steel same, but the cyclops does say, excessive noise when you go on flank, so maybe it is true the statement since turning off the engine completely negates sound although i have never taken my cyclops to dangerous biomes or areas so i didnt try it
@@_.oof._ I will have to try it.
@@project-steelhowd it go?
I haven't tried it yet. I am hooked on Starfield right now, but I will try it. I can't stay away from Subnautica for too long.@@ExOhz
A sub this size should have torpedos.
I agree.
u could have made this easier and just made intro and then said one word "skill" and then outro i havent watched the vid yet so imma say tysm now imma set up bases (cyclops) where reapers are
1) Save game before hand
2) Turn engine off
3) get out and lure the danger away
4) silent rig
5) Force field generator
6) Stasis rifle + Thermo blade.
Do whatever you have to to keep your cyclops safe.
Or just enable some cheats to make stuff easy. Enjoy.
Always have a welder, Stasis Rifle,Thermoblade, Glider and some battery and cells. Also water.
Thermoblade can cook small fishes.
Always make sure to check status of cyclops and where you need to make repairs.
I’m just saying this is called the repair tool not a welder
I bet your adrenaline was rushing the entire video
Yes! It was great!
I usually just drop a decoy and go to emergency speed until my engine catches fire. Then i hit the automatic fire extinguisher and keep going at emergency speed. Slowing down just before the fire is extinguished so the engine doesn't catch fire again immediately.
That works too!
but i think it is really expensive powerwise, but allright, its better then exploding@@project-steel
No the reaper liviathan won’t attack your cyclops if you turn it off or just stop moving it will treat you as a piece of the environment
I'm sure mine has been attacked while stopped. I remember running around in the cyclops tryiing to do damage control, and it was still attacking me. I could be wrong though.
@@project-steel You forgot to turn the engine off first. It removes the sound signature. I don't know if the leviathan will leave you alone with that by itself, but it won't detect you if it's not actively attacking at the very least
@@AngelFoxxoJP That makes sense! Thank you!
@@project-steel Ofc! More often than not, people sadly misinterprets the way that sound causes the attacks. Just keep an eye on the blue sphere that shows up to your right on the radar hub thingy (idk what to call it tbh)
I brought a reaper leviathan to the safe shallows :(
Wow! I bet he was a real problem there.
"This town ain't big enough for the two of us!"
"Mate, you're like 30m in length shut up"
Just turn off cyclops engine, then no creature will atack it.
if you turn off the engine when it sees you, it wont be able to hear/see you anymore, and if you release a decoy then it will go away from you
Good to know.
It's even easier than this. Turn the engine off and they won't attack you. They will literally just chill beside you while you wave out the window at them.
just always save before you go anywhere
i went to the green river place and the ghost leviathan attacked me, i released a few decoys turned on the shield the engine off and i survived, but all my lockers fell out, i had to re join and lose 1 hour of progress
That really sucks! I have never had the lockers fall out before.
UHH... REAPER??!!
Reapers aren't as bad as they seem.
I don't think the horn attracts anything. It's just novelty.
First time I got my cyclops I used to think the horn would actually scare them away :)
Ahh this intro saw this after so much time
Giving yourself a lot of trouble, turn off engine and he will go away!
Did u play Below Zero ?
I did, but I haven't played the finished version only when it was in beta. It was no where near as good as the original. For me it had too much story, which made it a lot less mysterious and it felt a lot more linear as opposed to feeling like I was lost trying to find my way in a new world. I also didn't care too much for the sea truck. I need my cyclops or at least something more customizable. I did like the new changes with bases. I need to go ahead and give it another try. Maybe do a playthrough.
@@project-steel I don’t think the second game is as scary as the first it kinda lost its terror aspect but it’s still a good game and if you havnt played it since then, then you should 100% percent give it another go! Im pretty sure the game has changed the story since then not to sure tho.
@@arcaida6724 Thanks. I think I may do a playthrough of it and put it on my channel. Hopefully people will watch. lol
@@project-steel I agree with you, Below Zero isn’t better than the original Subnautica. Not even close
bro the Seatruck actaully kinda ugly, and its like the only vehicle from prawn. I cant wait for subnautica 3, i mean..... below zero just ended in well, spoilers but ima just say it this way.... it ended in a cliff hanger if thats the right way to say it.
thx
Why doesnt the Cyclops have a torpedo upgrade? it might not be too easy to use if they just go strait, but you'd think that if humans can make huge futuristic space ships and all that self-guided torpedos should be a thing too.
I agree 100%
even we today have guided missiles@@project-steel
I don’t like the cyclops
It's my favorite, because it so customizable. You can actually build things in it, and you have little need for a base. But, it can be a pain to drive in certain areas.
monke.

I played both subnauticas
I love the first one. I keep tying to get into Below Zero, but it just isn't as good. I feel like they focus way too much on story and it takes away from my immersion.
