A fragile hope birthed in the dark and the dust.
Divine love breathed into a human body.
The audacity of life in the face of death.
Faith. Hope. Anger. Passion. Love.
Messiah.
In a season full of Messiah concerts, Trinity’s is unique - distinctly modern yet authentically performed on period instruments in a sacred and acoustically rich space. Soloists from our community of artists are chosen to best complement each aria and recitative, expressing through their unique sounds the human journey of faith.

Such a joy to be here!! Greetings from this New Yorker in DC.
Beautiful (listening in Syracuse, NY)
Such a tasteful, elegant performance. Most beautiful I've ever heard.
Sublime. Thank you.
Bravi tutti! Bravo Ryan, and greetings from AZ.
Wonderful!! Some really quick tempi but they work!
The expression in Nickolas Karageorgiou's singing, I have never seen that in that solo. Wow.
I love the tempos!
Bravo Paul An!
some strange comments who cares what people dress like but i thought it wonderful watching and listening in cornwall england .
The baritone who sang The Trumpet Shall Sound did a a great job. The other soloists…..UMMMM…
Just having watched this performance and commented on it during, I must say again that this years’ was special. From the novel orchestral and choral decisions to the commitment of the artists to their parts, it was a masterpiece. Your conductor this year brought a vitality to the performance and a new and fresh creative perspective. I asked if there were any plans afoot to do a proper “in-studio” recording because although the live performance was great and will be remembered forever, a properly recorded and mixed version would be sublime. Thank you all at Trinity for this very special evening.
Yes it was...brilliant...restored my soul in these most difficult times...each vocalist brought special meaning to their performance...the hand of providence orchestrated this masterpiece..."glory to God in the highest"...
My uncle was the conductor and so upset I didn’t get to go! Watched it live and it was great though.
@@jacksonvance7219 oh my goodness...wow
I saw Handel's Messiaah at Carnegie Hall this year because the two churches where I normally see it weren't presenting it this year. The trinity Version is more powerful, in my opinion, with far fewer singers.

One seems to confuse operatic gestures with the singing of an oratorio, where the text is more important than the personal performance.
WAY TO FAST!
The counter tenor wearing the glitter ball blouse? Too much. Disrespectful for the subject matter, in my opinion.
That tenor* has more joy and heart and sparkle in a single note than most people could dream up. This subject matter deserves nothing less.
musically wonderful. Don't care so much for facial expression with the texts - distracting, adds nothing. Even perhaps trivializes them
I liked the facial expressions! Didn’t bother me a bit!😊
chill out perhaps
What’s happening with some of solos? They had COVID or something? They don’t sound good at all…
Fuck it
I liked Grace Cathedral performance better.
