We're aiming to calibrate the reverser detent in an upcoming firmware update, aligned with a MSFS update in 2022, which will activate the reverser control area on the V1F thrust levers. I think it says a lot for future support when James at TBS take the time to reply. It's a new product so bound to have some early issues and MSFS is also in early stages on console. I think Huddison has created a nice community on here for everyone to chat too. It can only help when we all give each other tips
Can you make it so that the in-game hints say the actual button on PC? For example instead of, "Hit Joystick-1" it would say "Hit A". I expected this to be the behavior and was one of the reasons I went with this rather than competing yokes (though I was incorrect in my assumption).

The best fix clearly is to send me the whole setup. I’ll send it back as soon as I fix it the right way, of course there may be a year of testing just to make sure it stays fixed 😂
Of course, as soon as I fiddled around with the reverse thrust functioning, Turtle Beach releases a firmware update (and accompanying instructions) that now make the detent/reverse thrust work as it should have from day 1. Kudos to TB for more or less solving that issue so quickly.
Yeah, just set mine up today and spent the whole day trying to set a profile and assign buttons. MSFS crashes occasionally to the dashboard and sometimes the aircraft enters a weird spin or attitude. Stickiness on yoke pitch is ridiculously bad. Especially during flare to landing. However, awesome setup and bound to get better with time and updates.
You would think they would get this yoke fully supported out the box - it's a lot of money. I saw on a another video that the status lights on the back panel don't even work yet either. Seems like half a product at the moment.
Fair points, but if you own an Xbox console, this is a most buy IMO It's also good that Turtle Beach seem eager to fix this issues and actively keep the public updated on forthcoming patches etc. I like that aspect personally.
Good evening sir! Would you please consider making a video to show us how to adjust "sensitivity" settings for the trim wheel? I think it is way too sensitive, as just a single millimeter of movement has too much control input. I tired to adjust sensitivity myself, but after making my adjustments - when I touched the wheel slightly I would immediately crash nose first. Took me a couple of hours to figure out how to reset back to factory settings. LOL. Love your videos. - Murphy
Mine was set up to hold a button for the thrust reverse like your work around. That stopped working after the last update. It shows the button still being set to thrust reverse in the key mapping and it shows that I push the button when tested. However, no thrust reverse activation in the simulator when I hold the button. Thanks microsoft. Lol
Hi Huddison....there may be a different---better IMHO---way to achieve prop reverse with the VelocityOne. I've been experimenting with the "neutral" setting within the sensitivity settings, with credit to someone on one of the many forums for the idea. I've only done this, so far, on the Grand Caravan and TBM 930, but leaving the throttle binding just with the 0-100% setting (no other buttons/etc. for reverse), only, and setting the neutral sensitivity to around 90-95% makes the throttle go into beta/reverse about where you'd expect it to without having to press any buttons. It also gives you almost the full range of the throttle, whereas before it tended to go into beta/reverse at around 50% of its travel. It doesn't work quite as well with the TBM as the Cessna but, even so, it's more how you'd expect it to function (going into reverse just near and after the detent point). Please give it a try and let me know what you think.
@@Huddison After further experimentation, it looks like this is only an effective solution in the single engine turboprop configurations. The "hold reverse" button still seems to be the best way to get into reverse in the twin props and all the jet configs.
I have a problem, the only things I have assigned for power control is my throttle 1 axis and throttle 2 axis, but for some reason when I have my lever set to what is intended to be idle it puts me into reverse thrust, to get my engines to idle I have to be at 50 percent, it makes no sense why it does that because I don’t have it assigned to do that
@@Huddison When I test it like you show in the video it works fine. But sometimes when I want to do it after landing it stay on full thrust and the speed only increase. Then I have to quit the flying and start over again.
I think I know what is wrong. Even when I turn off everything that has to do with AI control and flying 100% manually, the "AI pilot" seems to take over the plane anyway and prevent me for landing forcing the plane up again. Must be a bug. I did not have these problem before.

You may want to check your assistance options\Piloting and see if changing any of them help. Interesting controller - I hadn't heard of it, until you mentioned it.
Another good video, my V1 turned up yesterday but the LED on the right of the yoke won't work so I've requested a replacement, but I have tried it before putting it back in the box.... looks a great bit of kit. Can you do a profile set up for the JU52 ??? my favourite plane on Xbox S. Hopefully get my replacement V1 next week
I set this up and have been getting used to using it (finding it very different to a HOTAS) I've noticed that my rudder triggers appear to be randomly misbehaving. When the issue occurs both triggers turn the aircraft in the same direction and the tail of the plane shudders rather than moving cleanly. I'm wondering if this a SIM issue or is there something wrong with my yoke.. Thanks for the amazingly useful content!
It seems after I updated to the 10th mapping is required the problem even after clearing all throttle AXIS saving all It's not even seeing it when I try to reassign the throttle
What a pain this yoke is. If it was going to have so many issues, would not have bought it. First did not even recognize my XSX till I reinstalled the sim. Once lost my keyboard in control settings. Had to restart xbox controller, then keyboard showed again. Now the rudder and steering don't work well, and yes gave rudder assist off as I know this can cause rudder issues. To get rudder working have to tap it. And yes changed nothing. Once again deleted the sim and reinstalling. Any more issues getting rid of it and just using my Xbox controller. This should not be such a pain to get working. Will sell it, I'd more issues and reviews arw saying it's great, not mine. I know the rudders work, as it shows in the training and the control setup as working go into the sim and the rudders hardly work. I had used the rudder trim, bring windy stopped it drifting. Don't know if it's rudder trim, but no way to see it the trim is centred
@Huddison Had to uninstall the sim and reinstall it for the yoke to work. While not a common issue, on the Flightsim forum some guys were having the same issue and reinstalling the sim was the fix.
Hi Huddison, I was have just got the Logitech Yoke and throttle. Do I have to install some kind of thrust master control panel or is it literally just plug and play?
Why can't you wait for firmware update when rev trust will be probably added? From all I know they work with Microsoft yo sort it out. Patience Patience Patience

The stickiness on the Pitch axis does definitely ease with use - I now have no issues flaring when landing, which is a vital aspect for most of us.

I guess I will need to watch some video’s on having the Velocity One Yoke and Throttle to work with MSFS. Also, getting it to work with X-Plane 11.

Please use Velocity One for airliner A330. Can’t setup flaps and yoke is sticky.
Will do Jesse; that's a freeware aircraft correct? Bear with me - rushed off my feet currently, I'll respond in discord with my findings.
Stickiness will go after frequent usage, second - use twin engine profil and far left is for flaps
@@Huddison comes with the MSFS PC or XBOX, but I have been using the PC and get it working properly on A239NEO or A330.

I didn't & haven't installed any drivers for mine - it should be pretty much just plug in and play.
With the mixture knob are you able to adjust the mixture by turning the knob clock/counterclock wise ?
Not with this unit unfortunately.
I'm having trouble setting my autopilot on a xbox controller.
Although it's possible, I would advise against relying on the Xbox controller for autopilot - best plugging in a mouse for that.
My top throttles only work in the 50 to 100% position?

I use the bag that the Yoke came in - work swell to keep the dust off for now.

You seem to have missed the point of this video - & who knows when that update will appear.
If you ask me those things should work out of the box. Won't hurt to show work around while waiting for official solutions.
