Beautiful! The finest compliment I can pay you is to tell you that I immediately ran to get my Irish whistle and listened til I could play (at least to some degree) along with you! I had to be part of the beauty. Your whistle has an amazing tone, and how special that a dear friend made it for you! : ) Thanks for this!
Often times, I feel with Irish music, that it seems so familiar and emotionally accessible, that I must have lived a past life in Ireland, and this simple, lilting and expressive music was part of my life hundreds of years ago... sitting by a fire on a cold night, enjoying an ale and the company of a few friends - I'm sure there is a Bodhran in there somewhere in that memory...
Beautiful sound from that instrument. Even the high notes seem in tune, which often is not the case with tin whistles. I would love to hear that melody played on a low D whistle, but of course, that would not be an older instrument. Thank you for sharing with us your lovely music.
This year marks 26 years I've been playing whistle. this was a wonderful performance!! ❤ No fancy crans, rolls.. Just some slides and vibrato. The pure sound of the whistle! My main whistle is a Gene Milligan #540 - and yours looks like it could be one as well? I also play a Casey Burns Irish (mopane wood) 6 hole flute. Do you also play flute? I play guitar as well - wonderful accompaniment! ❤ Where can I get the sheet music for this tune?
Excellent ❤, being trying to play that tune by ear as its very hard to get whistle notes ,at least now I can play along with this ,☘️ thank you from Ireland
WOW! Ireland! I’d LOVE to do a concert in Ireland!! On my bucket list! My husband and I got to visit there 6 years ago, and I got to play my whistle with a pub band in Killarney ☘️. What fun!
Gram z Uczniami na fletach podłużnych sopranowych barokowych, ale flet irlandzki ma jednak coś w swej barwie dźwięku... ach! Czy to aby nie na tym flecie został wykonany temat do filmu Titanic?
Tears of joy welled up in my eyes when I heard this lovely song. It touched my soul. Thank you to you both from the bottom of my heart❤ ❤ ❤

Wow, this is a lovely tune on lovely-sounding instruments! I play several instruments myself, including one I think is an Irish tin whistle.
The tin ones can get a bit strident 😳….but all in all, a cool instrument!
Yes! Thank You for the heart!
Thanks Tom. You made a good video even better for sure. Love these videos.
Again your music is so beautiful. This one made me feel so happy. Thank you and your friend.

The regular (small) metal one is still called the tin whistle in Ireland

My whistle is made from African blackwood. I think that’s what makes it so mellow and pure.
I don’t play flute very well…but like the sound of it too.

Is that sign "round lake" Illinois in northern Illinois? My grandparents used to on the channel to the lake in the 80s.
I have no clue where it is….just a cool sign!
